May 27,2023Monday May 15th saw two men from Ascent, subcontracted by Egg, arrive to install an EV charger at our home. Having chosen Egg because of their renewable emphasis, and used a company subsequently acquired by Egg for our solar panel installation, and having heard the 'commisioning engineer' say we could use solar power with this charger, we quickly discovered that they had bypassed our solar system in their hurry to get the job done. 10 days later, and following the usual fight to get Egg on the phone, we got the attention of an engineer who spent 10 hours trying his best to get the charger to work. Having remedied the original installation problems he was unable to get the charger to work after its first and only successful period using solar power. Subsequent efforts failed to drag the genie from its bottle. Our engineer spent as much time on the phone as he did with the equipment, and consistently got inconsistent advice. The company would appear to be grossly understaffed both in the office to answer phones and in engineers to deal with issues. We now learn that there is another (?better) and more expensive model of charger available which was not an option on the website when we placed our order. What they claim on the website is dedicated customer support (an AI bot) . . . and a repair or replace (or remove?) promise. It is probably as quick to request the removal of this charger and go to another company than it is to let Egg continue to drag its feet.

May 24,2023Application and order process was straightforward and simple. The charger has been installed and faultless charging the car. Some more detail during the install progress would improve the service e.g. time of day of visit and a confirmation the day before that the install is still due to occur.

May 23,2023Beware using this company, they have outgrown customer service's capacity to support their user base. Despite repeated attempts to reach customer service over the last 3 weeks we haven't been able to talk to anyone. Voicemails have been left but no callback, emails are not replied to, website chat doesn't connect to a human. We have been waiting 6 weeks for the scaffolding at our house to be removed and we can't talk to anyone to discover when it will be dismantled.

We have found in the past few weeks that Kurtis has not only been outstanding in terms of response time but also in finding resolutions and shipping out replacement parts to us. His level or customer service started out as excellent and somehow improved from there! I would 100% recommend EGG if all of their customer service team is the same!

May 19,2023The website and set up was easy and efficient. However the customer service afterwards is non existent. There is no number to call and emails go unanswered. It does worry me that if I have any issues with my charger that I won't be able to contact them. Unfortunately now locked in for three years. Wish I had known this in advance. Now reading other reviews (which I wish I had previously) it is clear that this is a common issue.

May 19,2023Had a great experience with Egg / indra so far it was around 2 weeks after order the install was completed. The engineer was very good and really professional and was happy to so me how to use and explain things to me. I think their model of paying per month for the charger when personally had paid out alot of money already on vehicle deposits and so on just helped me get the EV charger sorted easily without more upfront cost on my EV journey. Would definitely recommend.

May 19,2023The process of getting the charger fitted was excellent. Also your website has a fantastic customer journey. Super easy to use and clear. However there has been lack of support since. I have 3 outstanding enquiries. I feel that the EggPlus service is a bit of a con, chargers come with warranty. Also the charging platform has not been white labelled, which seems strange.
