Great communication from receiving emails regarding having the isolator fitted alway through to having the charge point fitted. Install engineer was great, on time and explained everything he was going to do. He gave a brief run through of the charger at the end of install and told me about the Indra App.

Overall I have been happy with my dealings with Egg. Install of my home charger was pain free. Only negative was trying to contact mina about a payment query, they dont have direct phone support and you have to submit a form. That being said, my query was replied to in a few hours.

It took 6 weeks to get the charger installed and then another 3 weeks to get it fully working.That is, after making numerous calls and sending plenty of emails to keep the process moving (more like crawling). Chris from the customer experience team gave the process a great push at the end and got all my issues sorted (it took a negative review here though). Long story short, the charger is installed now, connected to the app and it works flawlessly over 4G/LTE. The Indra smartphone app is still very much work in progress but the basic features work well (lock, boost, schedule). While it takes a few tries, talking to someone at Egg is quite easy and their support is professional. I took off one star because - at least for Northern Ireland - their processes and partners need a lot of improvement. My setup got stuck between the installer, Egg and Indra.

Egg are proving to be the company with zero customer service. I have had nothing but problems trying to speak to anyone or answer emails and that is before any install, which is less and less likely. They have tried to charge me more for the install stating that the cable in my meter cupboard needs amending despite being a new build and seeing my survey photos when I originally booked the install in early May. That was cancelled due to lack of contact but I thought I would give them another chance. Unfortunately I have wasted my time. How can I trust a company to help me in the future if they can’t even answer simple questions now. Over all an extremely disappointing experience all round. 06/06/23 Following on from my previous review I wanted to update this and say that my faith in this company has been somewhat restored mainly due to the work of Ilona Rothwell. Ilona has single-handedly taken ownership of the situation and followed up on the install to make sure all went well. She is a credit to Egg. Let’s hope all runs smoothly from here on.

After the sub contractor's fitted it back in March. They didn't register it correctly. Your engineer came out in April and got it registered immediately so I could take delivery of my van. Which I received 3rd of May. Everything working ok

Starting from answering queries about EV charging point features to installation to resolve issue has been less than satisfactory. Egg didn't have a way to book installation appointment. Third party used for installation didn't turn up on the day they said they would install. On reporting that Egg didn't had any information on the installation. Contractor took two days for the standard installation while website didn't mention this not did the contractor before the day of installation. After installation contractor didn't show how it can be used despite asking. Issue of using app took ages to resolve. Overall not too pleased with the experience so far.

Excellent service from booking to installation. Quick to respond to queries and overall excellent customer support. The charger is also egg-cellent and just what I expected from Indra.

The Fitter Jordan was excellent in the work he completed, so informative and as my car doesn’t arrive till the 11th May he offered to revisit to go through the connection with the car

We commissioned Egg to install a new Solar PV array and battery in early October. This included a thorough examination before submitting their quote to us (the most thorough we received whilst obtaining quotes), and then arranging scaffolding and handling paperwork in regard to the DNO - this was submitted in November with the necessary approval granted in January, allowing the installation to be booked-in for late-February. Shortly afterwards we were contacted by Egg and offered an earlier date owing to a cancellation, so the full install began on February 6th, lasting two days with a couple of follow-up visits over the next week or two related to some small issues with the optimisers and battery. The company that completed the install was sub-contracted by Egg, and completed everything to a high standard. Egg managed to hit the timeline that they advised in October (for example their estimate for the arrival of the Tesla Powerwall battery was accurate, meaning that it could be installed at the same time as the solar array itself), and my request to avoid installation dates in March and April were taken into consideration when booking the install. The only serious complaint I have is with how difficult it was to reach them after the deposit had been paid. I appreciate this was a busy time for the industry, but frustrating things like phone calls that I had been told to expect at certain times didn't happen without chasing-up, etc. December was particularly frustrating as I emailed several times and left several voice messages that went unanswered on an important issue I needed to highlight to them - in the end I got lucky that the person I needed to speak to happened to be around to pick-up their extension when I called in early January so we could discuss things. Also details like when the scaffolding was due to go up were promised but didn't arrive in time - in the end I needed to contact the sub-contractor for those details as Egg had not gotten back to me, but fortunately they had mentioned the name of the sub-contractor to me so I could find their details online and get it sorted with them. Egg has since changed the way they handle communications, which has improved things in my experience since then - hopefully new customers are having an easier time now. Overall we have been satisfied with the experience, and are delighted with the quality of the install and equipment used. We would be happy to contact them again in future to discuss other projects.

Charge point recently fitted, survey very easy, process around charger fitment easy and consist with good communication. Up and running for over a week now with no problems at all.

Charger installed 12/4/23. Had no end of problems. It just sat idle rather than charging, rang and e mailed yourselves and Indra. No help at all. So have downloaded the Indra app. from App Store. Let’s see how that does.
