Very easy process to get the charging point installed
Everything was just perfect, I bought my install date forward without issue, had a text from the installer to confirm it. The charging point itself was installed in a totally professional manor, really great and tidy job (I'm very OCD with wires as well!) and it works with the car! I have a Cupra Born and am with OVO Energy, the OVO app works with the charger, its only costing me £5.80 for a full charge. Totally happy and would highly recommend Egg
They seemed helpful and willing to help to begin with but all the information they kept asking for. We just gave up. We enquired about installing an electric charging point. They asked us for pictures of the water stop tap, electricity meter, where we wanted the charger. Every time we sent in pictures, it wasn’t enough. We were asked about bonding around the water stop tap. We told them it was plastic they still insisted we needed it bonding. We were told it needed an isolator switch but we I’ve spoken to my dad and he says it doesn’t need an isolator switch. He is a qualified electrical engineer. We were also told it would be £135 but we know someone who had their charging point installed by egg for free. The person who my husband spoke to on the phone was very rude. We just gave up trying to get the electronic point installed by them in the end. It’s not worth the hassle.
Had issues with the new Indra app released in April and I got stuck in a setup loop. After speaking with Indra over the phone I have managed to resolve and access the app properly. The person I spoke with was really helpful and really pleasant! The vehicle details on the Indra app are limited for my vehicle and it sure fly shows a different spec. With no option for my own spec. All that being said, it works fine now and works great with the charger so far.
I had my EV charger installed by Egg over a year ago. What prompted me to leave a review was the recent upgrade of the Indra charger app. I needed help with upgrading the app and Egg were happy to support. Great post install customer service and quick to answer my questions.
Great from start to finish. Installer arrived on day agreed at 8:30am and installed without issue. Well done Egg! Very happy
I have some post-sales issues and I'm very dissatisfied with the total lack of customer service from Egg and also Indra. Nobody answers calls, the Egg chatbot is pointless and, 7 days after submitting a request for someone to contact me, nobody has called me back and my issues remain unresolved. Indra (the charger and app supplier) are equally unresponsive. Don't be fooled by the good pre-sales support!
Took almost 12 months to get the charger installed. After waiting months for the engineer to arrive they realised they couldnt fit it. Months later after no work being done it was decided that it could be done. A secondary installation company installed the wrong “more expensive” charger. I was expected to take a 4th day off work for it to be rectified, which I couldnt do, so now im paying more for a charger i didnt order, nearly a year after i placed the order, when electricity prices are now nearly double. I had previous charging issues with Eggs charger. After many emails, raising services tickets and then writting a review here they came to sort the problem, but had weeks without being able to charge my car at home. Now I do not need their charger anymore cancelled it with 30 days notice per contract and after more than 75 days they have not sent any one to uninstall the equipment and continue to charge me for that despite not using the service. I have sent more than 6 emails over these 75 days and the only response I got was that they would contact me . Today, I got an email from their account department saying I owe them 150 pounds that I have not paid bills from last year, whereas I have all statements from my bank showing that since I signed up I have not missed one single payment. This is all outrageous!!! I have sent another email asking what is going on, why they are doing that to me! I am very disapiinting especially for being a person that want the EV to invrease in the country. But with companies like that it will be very difficult. I expect them to get their act togather and refund my money charged after the 30days notice and fix these funds they are wrongly saying I owe them.
The Engineer was amazingly good and efficient at his Job installed unit perfectly would rate him 5 stars alone happy so far so holding off giving a better score because early impressions and all that great start hoping if a problem arises it will be sorted out in timely fashion what else to be said they came they saw they conquered
Egg - easy sign up options, manageable monthly payments for the charging unit, timely and neat installation. The Egg plus £3/ month subscription is well worth the small amount of money for the additional features and coverage guaranteed.
Responsive requests and good choice of contractor for the install
The customer service support has been first class thank you. The product works to a high standard and the fitting was completed very carefully by the electrician. I recommend this company to anyone interested in getting an EV charge point fitted professionally.
Terrible customer server, still waiting for a call back form a visit in January. charger still not working properly and all I a get is we will get some one to call you back!
From the start, the process was easy and I received great communication from the team to set up the installation. No issues with the installation or the charger. It even links in with my energy provider to give me better rates per kwh.
Super friendly and helpful throughout the whole process, charger was installed within 3 weeks of initially placing my order.
Does this company still exist? 4 visits to get my Egg Charger in place. First the charger wasn't working - they brought a new charger- another day then it would not connect to the internet then when they came for a third time the charger was broken by the installer and then after 4 visits I have one or 2 issues but after leaving numerous calls and emails they are not calling me back at all. Go to another company AVOID AVOID AVOID Egg - most stressful experience ever - and everyone blames everyone else! However ILONA ROTHWELL has been very helpful, very apologetic and worked very hard to sort out my issues

terrible customer service can never get through ev charger incorrectly installed in january, still trying to chase them to fix this now 4 months later indra, egg or the installation company won't take responsibility - meanwhile i'm signed up to a 3 year contract for a charger that doesn't work on a schedule

May 03,2023This is my second review, first one was on the 13th March. I would like to point out that the EV charger "installed" is still not working. Emails back and forth over 10 times as the phoneline is useless. Egg also keeps demanding money for a product that isn't working properly.
