App is intermittent at best. Drops in and out. Charger has required multiple restarts and customer service has been poor apart from one call where the individual was extremely helpful. Disappointing experience and has actually left me out of pocket due to app not working correctly for managing off peak sessions.
App blocks my charging, deleted and reinstalled several times, reset power but no change.

It is useful to finally be able to lock the charger. BUT it doesn’t always register the charge I.e. the car charges but there is nothing on the app regarding the cost of the charge. E.g. I charged my car yesterday and the app said that there was no charging yesterday.
The app is so different to the first and am still getting used to it. I like the fact that I can lick the charger via the app to stop unauthorised use. There are now a lot of households with 2 electric cars. The app would benefit from the ability to add a 2nd car with differing charging capabilities
The overall communication and sales process with this company has been excellent. The entire process has been very smooth and seamless, from my initial enquiry through to installation.
Installed a home car charger earlier this year. Ive had no issues with installation or the charger at all. Price is Very fair and one of the only companies willing to allow monthyl payments instead of an upfront cost! Thank you Egg

Dates provided at the start of the process weren't actually available and the installation process took much much longer. On top of that the communication was terrible, no-one is ever available to answer the phone with queries or updates and I am now being asked to pay an additional £238 pounds for a custom installation when this was not needed on carried out. Overall a very bad experience. Subsequent follow up with the customer service team has resolved all my issues. Whilst slower than I would have expected, the person dealing with it was very helpful and all problems resolved.
From start to finish the level of service has been superb. Everything was thoroughly explained. We were installed today and the engineer was friendly and helpful, even made our baby laugh. He took his shoes off when he came in the house and was very knowledgeable about all things in the EV sector, I also really like the location of of our charging point and more importantly the aesthetics of it, others I have seen are quite large and cumbersome but ours is neat and tidy. Would highly recommend egg. Well done for making the process easy and straight forward and for providing superb customer service.
We wanted to add a second Powerwall to our home. Egg were able to source and install one 6 months quicker than anyone else, so we choose to go with them rather than our usual company. It was a good decision. They handle communication very well, did a great job of installation and were generally supportive and professional. They missed the fifth star since they missed the initially promised date (or they would have been 9 months faster than everyone else) and missed wiring our Zappi monitor CT clamp to the newly installed Powerwall
one star is generous, if you are looking for ev charge or solar - then look at the reviews it says it all. The comms I had were slow or no existent. just like the others missed my install date with some fabricated nonsense. Still have my money, so will have to contact bank. Rang another firm today and got sorted straight away and fitment in 10 days.
Slow communication. I was expecting replies to emails and phone calls sooner than they have been. Due to egg delaying the email communication, I was told that I've missed the installation date that I wanted, which was no fault of mine. Admittedly the electrics at my house needed upgrading, which were done fairly pronto.
Simple set up, app works well, fairly priced
Egg recently installed my solar panels along with a Tesla Powerwall and a Zappi car charger. So far everything is working perfectly. Now "spring has sprung" the panels are generating a good chunk of energy and the battery is storing that for the evening when the sun has gone down. Charger routes any excess solar energy into the car and boosts overnight on cheap rate. So far I'm very happy with the installation. Let's do the good bits first! The installers were absolutely first rate. There was a few issues with the quality of the roof so we had to have that replaced before we could get the panels on. The installers worked around the roofers and everything got finished on time - even though the guys had to work late on the Friday to get everything commissioned. I genuinely could not praise the installers enough. The not-so-good? As others have mentioned, communication can be sporadic. emails can go unanswered for days/weeks. There is a phone number but it's automated and unless you know the extension number of the individual it's impossible to get hold of them. I suspect everyone is (or was) working from home. No issue with any of that but an extension number on the email signature would be nice. There is also a fair turnover of Project Managers (I think I had three different people managing my install). Final invoice bore no relationship to what I'd agreed. We'd supplied our own scaffolding and this got lost in the noise which is sort-of understandable. Adding VAT to a solar/battery install (which should be zero-rated) is definitely not though! In fairness though, that got sorted quite quickly. On balance, the entire experience was a positive one - the quality of the kit and the installation is excellent. I would recommend Egg as long as you're prepared to battle their email and phone system.
Solar & battery installed February 2021. All worked well. March 2023 system failed. Diagnostic test advised to contact installer. Daily requests for help over the last week have been ignored. Disgraceful customer support. In fact, no customer support. And finally: Egg have responded & sorted everything. Thank you
