Simple and straightforward process from signing up to arranging installation, everything was smooth and took place very quickly within a week. I rang the customer service number after signing up online as I needed a relatively quick install, and they put me in touch with the installers who gave me a date within a week. All working perfectly afterwards. Customer advisers over the phone we're faultless. A great alternative to the other options on the market for ev charging, and very cost effective

Excellent service from start with Dan explaining everything, arranging 0% finance and taken over by Jade who moved the paperwork and appointments. Installers went out of the way to get what had to be sorted and completion by Jade with rest of the documents. With request Joe the technical manager was also very helpful in explaining the software. Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (......only one day since installation)
The company has been an absolute joy to work with. Nessy has been super attentive, provided lots of communication with super quick replies and has been super friendly talking to her on the phone. This my first leap into the EV and EV charging world and I'm glad I took it with Egg and Nessy. The website itself is sleek, modern and easy to use. It provided me with a clear overview of monthly costs, any helpful optionals that they offer as well as a great finance option. I chose to take the Indra Chrager while they were still offering it and it works very well. The installation company that Egg uses were very helpful, giving me advise on the easiest way to install the charger and where to put it. The installation quality was brilliant. I definitely recommend this company I'd you're looking for an EV charging solution. Though they offer solar and battery packages as well, which all look very good.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Five Star experience from start to finish 👌 I’ve just recently bought solar from Egg and wanted to run the system before giving my review. The 0% finance offer made it a no brainer for me. From start to finish the company was brilliant, thank you. They are professional and friendly, explaining any question I had in a way that I could fully understand. (The install date was also much faster than other companies had offered me.) Throughout my order they kept me updated about what was happening, and the next step in the process. During this process they helped me understand how to run the system. I've been really impressed with the team and would highly recommend them. Definitely a ‘cracking’ company :-)
Nessy was great at sorting a new installation of our Autel unit after our Indra caused so many issues! Chris our installer went over and above to sort out things on the day. Great job team Egg!

Charger failed on 1st April. Sent 89 emails including raising a complaint. Engineer called - said he would call the next day to arrange a visit - 10 days later he got in touch and still couldn't send an engineer out until the next week. Took a day off to wait for the engineer, at 9 am that day I was messaged to say he wasn't coming. 8 days later engineer attended, turned the unit off and on again and went away. No change to unit status. Another engineer attended, did the same thing, ran a diagnostic, said it was fine. It wasn't. Third engineer changed the unit but it still wouldn't charge from the APP. Fourth engineer changed the unit again - still wouldn't charge from the APP. 35 days after I reported the fault it started to work after no support from Egg or Indra.
Solar installation all fitted and working in 1 day. Now more free electric and tax free income to help pay the 0% 2 year loan. It's a no brained as it also adds value to the property!
from initial enquiry , through installation and Egg followup , struggle to fault . Niggles with schedule/ tariff, partly down to my ignorance handled with care and patience by Nessy , very impressed . I find important that with any such install , and 3 x parties involved - Egg , Indra, and Octopus Energy , potential for " handing on " issues , but Nessy able to identify boundaries and advise on next steps. Had the charge installed and at first the service was fantastic, however I now have a fault less than 3 months after installation I have sent over 6 emails and left 4 voicemails because they never answer the call. here I am now 5 weeks down the line and I’ve had one response which to say turn it off and back on, absolutely shocking service I’m currently having to charge my ev car from a service station at 6x the cost every two days I wonder if this will get there attention
The good points have been communication from Egg, however the bad points way out weigh this. Installation took quite a while from initially requesting the charger. Team from Leeds came to fit the charger (when i'm in Aberdeen this seemed quite far to travel) didn't have the correct charger available, i'd specifically requested a 3G connection as i don't have a WPS capable router, and a WiFi charger was the only one they had available. The options were to fit it or wait until they'd headed back to Leeds to collect a 3G version and given me a new date. Needless to say i rearranged my house network to allow the charger to be wired to a mesh point. However since fitting the charger it has failed to work more often than it has worked. Initially wouldn't fully charge the car overnight on a scheduled charge. Lately has a constant red light on the display, and requires turned off at the circuit breaker and back on, sometimes needing done 3 or 4 times before it actually comes on to be able to be used. Despite reporting to Egg and being told someone would investigate with Indra and get back to me, after at least 3 weeks i'm still waiting for anyone to contact me. Any emails i send are responded to fairly quickly, but they don't contain any useful information other than telling me they've reported my issues. I have now cancelled my direct debit and instructed Egg to come and collect the charger, however even that seems to be too much to get organised!

Very disappointing service from Egg. I would think very carefully before signing up to a ‘loan’ with this company for one of their ev chargers. They have no policy or support in place for you if you decide to move house. The main reason you would sign up to Egg is to avoid paying upfront costly equipment and installation fees, you can instead pay monthly for the charger itself and installation. However if you move house there is zero support, they offer their indira approved electricians to uninstall and reinstall at the same price it would have been to pay upfront in the first place. So you end up having to pay the loan and then £6/700 anyway. Unless you’re planning on never moving house I would never use Egg, just for a company where you pay upfront, otherwise if you move you pay twice. If you’re desperate for a company where you can pay monthly find a company that have a house move policy built into the terms and conditions or who would be willing to help their paying customers, as Egg do neither.
