I originally listed with Tepilo, who went into Administration without informing us. When I eventually found out that emoov were able to take over, and provided proof that we had paid Tepilo upfront, they took over. We got lots of viewing requests after reviewing the asking price- Tepilo had suggested a price far too high. Emoov negotiated an offer which we accepted. We are now hoping it all goes through successfully.
I was nervous to use emoov because the high street agents tried to discourage me saying you will never get a professional service. I have to say that has not been the case.It was the most professional and stress free experience. I was so impressed with them that I used their solicitors to complete the process. My daughter also used emoov and between her and myself we saved over £20,000.
Easy to use portal and process for booking viewings works really well. I had a dedicated agent to look after me and my listing, the communication and process was excellent, prompt and simple. My house sold within 3 days of being on the market! I honestly don’t know why anyone would use a high street estate agent when the online service is so much cheaper and the level of service is so good.
Awful Service, don't use! Definitely don’t pay in advance - an option I had to do unless you use their conveyancers. There is no financial stability behind this company. I paid up front for the service which was initially with Tepilo which then got bought by Emoov during the process, it wasn't great with Tepilo at all but it got one hundred times worse when Emoov took over. hey set me up with photos on rightmove and zoopla but after that did very little, it got so bad at one point that i couldn't get hold of anyone at the company at all! This went on for two months! I have since complained and i haven't had a response at all and that was months ago! In the end i sold it myself, acting as the agent. Only use if you don't want an agent and want to advertise on rightmove.
Having been through the conveyancing process many times and used high street agents and another online agent, I would choose to use Emoov again. As its a lot cheaper than using a high street agent so there will always be positives and negatives. Positives: You have a choice in what conveyancer you use, other online agents tie you into using their conveyancers and frankly from experience they are awful. They take 48 hours to respond to queries if not longer so in time sensitive transactions when you need to move swiftly this is not ideal. They also work in teams so you never get to speak to the same solicitor, thus going round in circles and they have a massive workload so again so difficult to get queries resolved in a timely manner. Negatives: as obvious as it is you don't get that continuity as you do with a high street agent. No direct line or email address to your named sales agent. I tended to speak to a lot of different agents. The lines are always busy, long waits and if you get through your details are taken down and someone calls you back, that can take 24-48 hours. I wouldnt pay upfront again, I would advise using an alternative deal that allows you to pay when you complete on the sale. ***Thank you to Andrew in the sales department if he still works there as I hear Emoov went into administration recently***
Would not recommend! After reading reviews of people selling their houses in days or weeks it looked great. How wrong we were. Once our house was for sale we had very little communication. Hardly any viewings at all and lots of cancellations. Trying to call them we was put through to answer machines. At one point we had weeks of nothing happening at all. Got fed up after a few months and withdrew the property and swapped to a proper local estate agent. But we paid upfront so lost all out money nearly £700 down the drain. Biggest regret of our life.
Initially it was great and very easy to arrange to see properties through Emoov. We found a property we liked and then ran into some real issues with communication. Emoov staff were very very rude on the phone. After spending ages to get through multiple times the phone was picked up and put back down again to cut me off. I was told different stories each person I spoke to and one huffed her breath at me. The way she answered the phone was disgusting. After that I never considered looking at a house listed with them again. Highly recommended you look else where or sell through another company.
I say DO NOT use this company because they take your money and run! But now they have gone into administration there’s no pint. They took and ran with our money In June! We’ve been chasing and chasing for a refund and our property keys back for weeks now and has absolutely no response. You cannot call them either because they do not answer the phone. You can leave a message but just as they don’t answe the phone, they don’t reply to email. Now we jwr are desperate to get our keys back. I’ve even messaged their so called CEO via linked in. Nothing! Give back our proper keys. Thieves!
Emoov have now gone into administration so don't bother using their website which is still live.
I find emoov really polarising. Some aspects are great, as they should be, but others are of a very low quality. I paid upfront which was the cheaper option and was left thinking if I had paid upon sale, if I would have received a better service? The emoov experience begins with an estate agent setting your sale up. James Kenyon looks after the Manchester area. James was great, the property was set up online expertly and very quickly, definitely 5 star service. James' advice regarding the sale and marketing was invaluable. However, a friend of mine I recommended to use emoov in a different area of the country found their agent's service so poor, she demanded a refund. It was slightly embarrasing. I didn't use the refer a friend scheme as I didn't remember/didn't know it existed. Once the property was on the market, I was handed over to the contact centre and this is where the local agent no longer has control. Customers are able to amend marketing materials themselves online in the emoov portal which was really useful. Viewings are mainly arranged online although potential buyers can also call the contact centre. I held viewings myself, as hosted viewings cost extra. However, holding viewings yourself can mean that the feedback provided at the viewing may not be honest. One problem is that emoov don't collect feedback after viewings via an agent unless specifically requested, only e-mails are sent and it is often ignored by buyers. It makes it easier for your viewer to not bother providing any. Your property is not in control of a specific agent at the call centre at this stage, so there is no continuity of service. The telephone line can be very difficult to get through on. I did use the online chat service most of the time as the telephone line was a waste of time, although online chat has been taken off the portal. The agents at the end of the telephone differ wildly in property know-how and professionalism. It "feels" like any call centre. It doesn't have the feel of a property business. There is no strategy discussed with anyone to help your property achieve its best price at offer stage which I did expect and was quite disappointed when this didn't happen. Once an offer is accepted then a specific agent is appointed. I had Sarah James, one of emoov's sales progression agents, who did provide excellent service worthy of 5 stars, especially considering my sale has been very challenging! Sarah has handled all the usual aspects of the sale process highly professionally. To get hold of Sarah, there is no direct telephone line, so using the general telephone number means it may be a few hours before I am able to speak to her, when she finally receives my message from one of the contact centre agents. Direct lines and personal e-mail addresses are very much needed. In addition, the emoov online portal becomes almost redundant at this stage. It would be a good idea to develop some more functionality. Where emoov provide their more personalised service, it can be excellent, but the more general service aspects really need improving. I would be hesitant to recommend in future. I think online estate agency will work well, when done properly and emoov just need to up their offering. I would imagine the entire online estate agency industry has the same problems and needs to as well.
* PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE USING EMOOV * In this modern world we have all had the misfortune of dealing with companies that fail to deliver even the most basic customer service. Emoov have literally re-wrote the manual on how not to treat people. Phones that never get answered, check. Surly customer service agents who are literally stealing oxygen, check. Ghost viewings (which I assume is not allowed), check. In the 3 months my property has been with them, they took 3 weeks to arrange photo's, they have failed to update property details - TWICE - they have lost my account, I have had NO actual viewings and when I complained and demanded the property is removed from their site they now won't answer the phone. Finally, when I rang to complain, I was accused of 'attacking' the customer service agent as though I have some sort of teleportation club that I can send down the phone lines - Be clear, this an established tactic to avoid recording complaints. Dear customer, if you believe nothing else in this review I leave you with this, THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY BUT THEY DO NOT WORK FOR YOU.
Excellent service and value. Our agent Navjeet Birdi has been on hand throughout chasing up strong leads. The Emoov package is everything you need to sell as long as you’re realistic with your valuation. It’s definitely the future.
Property has been on market for 2months. Still waiting for the for sale board to go up, despite numerous calls. How long does it take ??? Why take the money and not supply what you have been been paid for?? Never again!!!!
I used Emoov to sell my property: good experience, I found they were always available to discuss my needs; customer service and Sales agents were polite and quick. Someone always contacted me back when I left a message. Portal is easy to navigate, my ad was easy manage, fees are reasonable compared to the crazy ones from High Street agents. However, I must give 4 stars, as they have recommended me to their partner conveyancing firm, which has been dreadful. Please Emoov: find a better partner, conveyancing process can be complicated but this company was not good at all.
Thanks Mr Ali for his help. We are blessed to know him for a long time and his professional service is exceptional and I recommend his service at anytime.
Emoov have treated all involved in the sale of my house with disdain. They do not deserve any star at all. Buyers have been treated appallingly one offer received and accepted, then rejected without consultation. We have been trying to speak to someone all week and all calls on our part have not received the courtesy of a reply. In the past instructed Tepilo and had a bad experience with them also. Unfortunately high street estate agents will be rubbing their hands together, I say unfortunately because over the many years working on the legal side, my only feelings are they are all bullies and not interested in the feelings of people. A proper governing body is needed. I signed an agreement to defer payment, thinking it will come out of the proceeds of sale, I had not realised that Shawbrook would pay the fee up front and now I am being pursued to pay a bill for a service I did not get! I have asked Shawbrook to provide me with evidence of its payment, but they don't seem to understand and keep saying I have asked for evidence of my debt to them. They have delayed so long Mashroom have now taken over and I cannot put my claim to the administrator. What a mess.
Buying a house using Emoov is like pulling hens teeth, no call backs, no email replies. No interest at all. Two weeks and still no contact, My solicitor cannot get any answers, I'm back out there looking for another house because NO-ONE can get any information from them. These people are truly incompetent. When I find another house I won't even bother viewing it if it's with Emoov. PS - I'm a cash buyer, purchasing a house with no Chain !!
I have had my house for with Emoov for the last few weeks after an amalgamation with Tepilo my experience so far has not been great , they are slow to feedback and respond to call requests , they have failed twice to go to my empty home to support viewings , as Iive miles away from the property. I also noted that on the website my property stated off the market I contacted them today early this morning discuss these concerns , was advised I would get a call back still waiting Not what I expected
Great experience with Nav from emoov, 5 star service

Mar 29,2019I have had a great experience with Emoov, and can't speak highly enough of Jason Burke, our sales progression agent. He's always available to help, via email and phone, and is very professional. I've felt like he's always listened to us as clients, and I look forward to working with him right through to completion. I would recommend Emoov to anyone selling a property, not only to save a huge amount of money, but to receive great customer service and support.
