ESC Review. I had my solar panels system service last week. The gentleman arrived on time showed his pass and got on with the job. Told me everything was OK. Did mention that I could probably do with extra battery what I liked was not pushey when I said not interested as couldn't afford it.
I always find ESE easy to deal with and responsive.

Your company installed two three kilowatt batteries in June last year. 1 The installation was poor which necessitated a return visit to get the ‘App’ working and replace a circuit breaker that kept tripping. 2 From the date of installation, the yield from the solar panels deteriorated. I was told that [a] the panels needed cleaning and [b] that they were old and needed replacing. I have now had the panels cleaned and asked a local solar panel contractor to carry out an audit on the installation. His comments were: 1 the cabling around the batteries is dangerous – they get quite hot 2 the replacement circuit breaker was OK but not exactly state of the art and/or suitable. 3 The output from the panels is 100% 4 Some cable work was carried out on the roof inverter at the same time as the batteries were installed which has caused the loss in output. The loss in output over the past year amounts to a minimum of £1500. All this has been reported to Marcus Lightfoot several weeks ago with the intention of getting one of your engineers to fix the problems and also to compensate me for loss of income. I am still waiting although I understand that it might be possible to get someone on site on 1st August. As a general comment, I would say that your service – both installation and support – has been poor. I think that Marcus has maybe done his best but is limited by other priorities. In the past, I have threatened to make adverse comments on TrustPilot when no support was available. I hope this is not necessary now. As a final comment, I am interested in the Carbon Capture Offset Monitor but I think that I might be taking a big risk to let your engineers loose in my house again. Yours sincerely.

They do an annual inspection of the PV panels. The chap who did the inspection, was polite, knowledgeable and very quick.
Brian was very easy to talk to and friendly. He made the visit trouble free but at the same time, he was also efficient and informative.
Had a phone call from ESE group to renew my solar contract. Spoke to Angela Wilson who told me all the offers they were offering there was no pressure on which one to buy and it was a pleasure talking to Angele many thanks T Conneeley

The technicians arrived on time, checked everything then found the fault, a broken wire in the meter box caused by a recent visit by the electricity board engineer. Fixed it and left after ensuring everything was working correct. Very happy.
The engineer kept me informed of his arrival time, he even gave me a cursory call initially the day prior to his visit. He arrived promptly, showed me his ID the set about his tasks . He was polite and and answered any questions I had during his visit. There was little fuss and he completed his visit.
The guys fitted my carbon offset monitor neatly in my electrical cabinet. They were on time, pleasant to talk to and efficient in what they did and all tidied up before they left. Well done guys.
To say am disappointed by there response to my issue is an understatement. I waited a number of months for the Carbon monitor to be installed, but was not overly concerned as we were in the winter months . It was eventually installed I believe in March or April of this year. The date should be easy for you to confirm. Whilst there was a WiFi issue that day, I was informed by ESEs operative who installed the monitor not to worry about it as it was all being recorded and I would not miss out on anything generated. I have plenty of verifiable data I can provide ,as to what my system has produced. So, I can only assume yourselves or Rowan are not being honest about the service or the monitor. I waited to call you back as I believed your installer was telling me the truth. So based on this not urgent. When I was eventually connected properly I am then informed that I have lost a number of months of carbon credits even though I have reading from both my energy company and the carbon monitor that was fitted. ESEs response was dismissive and hid behind a clause in the contract, and after two weeks no response to my email laying out the facts The only reason your company got my business was because of the monitor , as quotes were very similar in price. I was expecting better service from your company and will be reviewing both ESE and Rowan's responses to this complaint. I was considering another installation on one of my rental properties, but not happy with their response. Regards Mark Hodge So in response to ESEs stock response of not responding to the issue your installer said my output was being monitored and I would not lose out even though he could not conect to the WiFi.
