Primarily a review for the order and installation process so far. The order process was smooth, Josh did an excellent job of explaining what was going on and managing my expectations well and clearly. He even called personally to explain a booking issue that had arisen, and already been fixed at that point, which was definitely appreciated. The install date was a few days after, and Zak was on time, and ready to go. Even offering to vacuum after the install. All in all, a smooth, professional process, much better value than my previous ISP. I hope this continues.

The man who introduced me to Grain and the chap who installed all the fittings, apart from being polite and efficient, where of the understanding that some people of my age, 79, are not very into modern tech. So took that into account, which was much appreciated. So, all in all, thanks for a good job.
Very quick to sort the installation and the engineer, Dan, was professional and left no mess. He also made sure I was connected and waited until I had my computer working.

Engineers were good, fitted everything, no issues with that. Was told by 3 people I would have signal throughout the house. Literally have signal in one room where the box is fitted, rest of the house has zero connection and constantly reconnects and disconnects. Technical help, were no help whatsoever. Trying to up-sell a WiFi booster to me, I should not have to pay more than I agreed to, when I was told I would have signal throughout. Now I can't even get a callback to sort it. Wish I didn't bother switching to Grain, more hassle than it's worth. AVOID if you're considering signing up! EDIT 26/10/24 - I have now had to cancel Grain as no one could be bothered to call me back, I had to chase them for assistance, and even then they wanted more money from me to fix the issue, made it SO HARD to leave within the 14 day cooling off period - added insult to injury they are now charging me £40 to cancel when they cannot provide a service that's fit for purpose, defeats the object of a 'cooling off' period when you charge people for literally nothing! I'm not cancelling for fun, or out of choice, it's because you can't provide the service I am paying for, for the price we agreed to! Absolutely awful company, please avoid!
Where do I start?... The broadband is great, never had any issues without prior warning. The customer service is exceptional!! I recently got scammed by another internet provider, believing them to being working partners with Grain... They weren't! I spoke to Steven and Tom and managed to get all the information and support I needed to get everything straightened out. May not sound like much, but having my anxieties eased and being understood made the whole ordeal a lot easier; and ultimately make me feel like a valued customer. Thank you Steven and Tom for all your help today :)
