After looking for wedding suits for myself and 3 groomsmen I came across Hawes and Curtis in Leeds. I'd looked at made to measure, off the peg standard and off the peg designer - all of which had cost/quality implications. Anyway, the team at Leeds really looked after myself and my son, the best man and we chose a suit - three piece for me and three matching 2 piece suits. Patrick in the shop guessed the sizes for the other two groomsmen based on photos that I showed him with the promise that if they were wrong they could be swapped. Trouser length alterations were included and any adjustments to the suits could also be made at additional cost. On the fitting day, we were dealt with very quickly and effciciently and nothing was too much trouble. Despite the store being busy on a Saturday morning, Patrick made sure we were happy with everything. Overall delighted with the service, quality and value of the suits. Thanks.
Nice shirts, terrible return process! I want to return three shirts. I like the look but they don't fit. I need to set up a pickup at my home for the package. BUT WAIT! Hawes & Curtis passes the return process off on Global-E. Global-E, in turn, passes me off to DHL. Ridiculous. I have never encountered an online retailer who makes it this hard to return an unwanted purchase. Avoid Hawes & Curtis unless you know their merchandise fits you. If you think you might end up returning an item - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Second time order an order is not fulfilled as they now no longer have the size available which was in stock when I placed the order. Bad inventory management on their side. Avoid.
Terrible customer service Terrible product Do not order online especially if international Do not buy any merino product as not only are they extremely poorly made but even turn up with holes in them. My entire experience with this company has been not what I expected and only shows both the decline in both product and customer service over the years The only real customer service I received was from someone in the UK team and since I ordered international there was nothing they could actually do apart from try and send emails themselves to chase up the international team International team was a different person every time and took so long to respond to a refund claim I had to threaten to involve PayPal Magically after email to say I was handing it off to PayPal did I receive a response At the very least the return company they use was good but trying to get a tracking number work on your return is impossible I would highly recommend shopping elsewhere
I spent over three thousand pounds over the last two years at this store; on the most recent order wishing to return 4 shirts, their returns policy is a SCAM; Unhelpful and inconsiderate. Sorrell did not want to assist me with a return and refund on items that had not been worn and were absurdly too big, misleading sizes and grossly inaccurate sizing, shirts that hang like tents on you and oversized sacks yet advertised as SLIM FIT, utter rubbish quality and service, will never buy from them ever again, 3k spent over the last year, was it worth it losing a customer ??????
A suit jacket was faulty. The response was totally unhelpful (the complaint hadn't been read clearly, as they talked about cuff buttons - which are, absurdly, sewn closed without the buttons done up - though that wasn't my complaint - there was a clear manufacturing defect with the jacket breast pocket meaning it draped poorly and would have been impossible to wear a pocket square with. None of this would necessarily have been an issue, but they're now charging me £3 (after I'd already paid extra for next day postage to receive the suit for an event on time, that I then couldn't wear due to the defect), to return their faulty item. If it hadn't been faulty, I wouldn't have been returning it - absolutely appalling service for a fault caused by their sloppy workmanship.
I placed an order online. I doc not receive any shipping confirmation. I contacted the company 2 business days after I placed the order, they said it was shipping out soon. Website says it can take up to 4 business days so I waited. 5 business days after I contacted Hawes and Curtis and E-global. While waiting for a response, I tracked my order but saw it was cancelled and my payment would be refunded. No explanation. No email. No one contacted me to inform me. I reached out again. Response was package has been lost in transit to our international dispatch hub. This is 10 days after my order was placed.

Its hard to find a place to provide feedback after ordering, weirdly enough I was never emailed to ask for feedback which I might have expected, unless I've missed it. Ordered a last minute shirt I needed midweek, got delivery which coat £6.95 which is fine but I get the product and the sizing was completely inaccurate. It directs you how to measure different component lengths but then doesn't come as ordered. Arm length was off by nearly 2 inches and the width of their slim shirts would look well only if I gained another 4 stone. Login to request a returns to see a further £3 charge ontop of the price of the item which is ludicrous. I'd of kept the shirt if it was sized correct because the quality feels up there. So after all that faffing about I'm still without the shirt I want but now £10 down.
I saw a nice raincoat online and sent an email to ask about sizes (I recently found that other companies sizes vary enormously) so I told them my measured chest size and waited for a response as to whether or not I should buy a size up. Their customer services wrote back to talk about their SHIRTS!! They guided me to an online shirt size guide! So it appears that Hawkes and Curtis customer service reps (Sorel) don't bother to actually read the emails on screen in front of them. Presumably, he scanned it, picked up a few "key" words and completely missed the point of my question. Not a good sign.
I recently online purchased a shirt, skirt and trousers for work, but I am experiencing an issue with the zipper, which keeps falling down and doesn’t stay up. I am very upset about this, especially considering that it is an expensive brand. I am unsure of how to resolve this problem. I would appreciate speaking with a customer advisor about this matter. I am happy to return the trousers if they can be tailored. Otherwise, I would like to discuss alternative solutions. Given the high price, I expected better quality and I cannot recommend this brand to anyone who has high expectations for premium products. I look forward to your prompt response. Thanks
Poor service, poor quality fabrics. Poor products. Bad environment, outdated store. The flagship store doesn’t have a nice feel to it, just feels very old. I could sense tension between management and staff. Derrick & Haja are the managers but are the most rude and unprofessional managers I’ve witnessed. Sometimes I go in and Louis is acting manager. Very unapproachable, never seen him smile once.

Great service from Aymanh at the Bishopsgate branch this past Thursday, helped us out with style and sizing on a few shirts for various functions, warm and welcoming. And the shirts look great as well, will be back!
Awful service - My teenage son ordered a shirt online on Saturday 22/06/24 for his prom on Monday - last minute purchase but he loved the shirt he assumed because the store is open on the Saturday then that day qualifies as a business day for next day delivery i paid for the shirt & the DPD next day delivery of £9.95 to be sure he received it in time the shirt wasn't sent till Monday & arrived Tuesday too late for his prom, mistakes are made it is what it is, i will just return & get my money back but then it is not even delivered to our home it has been sent to some random shop that i now have to find to collect the parcel to send back i am returning the shirt but will have to pay £3.00 for the handling fee & there is no mention of the £9.95 delivery charge to be refunded
I had a very disappointing experience with company. My order was cancelled without a clear reason, and customer service merely instructed me to repurchase the items. There's no assurance that I'll get them at the same price, which is frustrating. When I reached out about my missing order, I was provided with a tracking link that led nowhere, and eventually, my order was cancelled altogether. The lack of transparency and poor communication is unacceptable. I expected better from a reputed company and unfortunately, this has been a horribly disappointing experience.
Unfortunately, my experience with purchasing a shirt from your store was extremely disappointing. I bought a shirt for my sister's wedding abroad. The staff was friendly and suggested I try on a universal shirt, assuring me that the chosen shirt would have the same fit and would definitely suit me. I trusted them and did not try on the shirt in the store. When I got home, I didn't unpack it to make it easier to pack in my suitcase. Unfortunately, when I opened the shirt the day before the wedding, I found that it was perfect except for a major flaw—a pull at the back. Given the situation, I had no opportunity to buy a new shirt, so I had to wear the damaged one. Upon returning to the country, I went to the store to file a complaint. Unfortunately, my complaint was rejected. The staff claimed that I must have caused the pull and because I had worn the shirt, they couldn't replace it. I understand there are procedures, but in my situation, I had no choice and was forced to wear the damaged shirt. I wasn't asking for a refund, just an exchange, as I was very satisfied with the shirt's quality. However, after this incident, I've lost trust in the store and am unlikely to make any future purchases.
Purchased a suit from the store in Jermyn Street in January 2024. The suit looked very nice and fitted me well so I was initially was very pleased. I wore the suit roughly twice a week for around 4 months before I noticed the elbows were looking a little bit thin. Upon further inspection I noticed the fabric had completely given way and frayed so I took it back to the store who told me it was due to wear and tear after six months of light month I do not agree however they agreed to repair it. The repair was completely sub standard as the gave way again only a week later. I again took the suit jacket to the store who again said they would repair it and let me know when the jacket has been done, this was nearly a month ago and I have had no contact from them. Since this time the trousers have now torn from the point the two leg sections are joined together, again the fabric has given way. Not sure how this company has such a good reputation as my experience with this suit is enough for me to never purchase any item yet a lone a suit from them in the future and I certainly would not recommend any of my friends and family there terrible quality suits I will stick to Hugo Boss in the future. Aug 03,2024Ordered shirts I wanted ordered some I didn’t really want to make up the basket to get a deal all the ones I wanted were then flagged as not available all the ones I didn’t really want were however all were shown as available on line. They will be returned but having read the return review not looking forward to that. Good shops don’t bother with the on line until they sort it out really poor and will not purchase again as poor service doesn’t deserve customers
