Jan 18,2018Given the cost and the enthusiasm of the team, expectations were high. I regret it all took too long (Sep - Jan) with training in echelon; one module followed by another with a pause after each while the next was booked. Communication was good, especially with Gustavo. You might expect the broker to do more, adding significant value, than I could have achieved as an individual going to the necessary training providers and booking DVSA tests under my own steam. Standout was Gary from Rae Bus & Truck in Enfield. He was excellent in manner and content, with a necessarily robust and professional approach. This 20 hours of driver training is intensive, even/especially for an experienced driver - so do expect it to be intense! First time pass in all modules - Thank You.

Jan 09,2018Specialised HGV trains were great. Communication was good and planning and organising was also good. Nothing to fault from your side. However. I would recommend a review of who you choose to conduct the training. WTTS in Avonmouth who took mine were very poor for the ‘C’ class training. Unorganised and poor instruction until the last day when I had a new instructor (mike) who was excellent. The C+E class was better instruction all round with Kelvin. However the times you sent me for both classes changed both times without prior notice to myself. I only found out when I arrived for training. This is not good when you organise family things around the times you have been given only for it to change. That is my only concern for future trainees. I did pass both first time so maybe I’m being picky. Regards

Jan 04,2018I paid £2700 for this course excluding my initial CPC. What persuaded me to buy this course was the fact that they said they have a "92%" pass rate and they are one of the best schools in the UK (having to learn they are brokers and not an official school). I was told that throughout the process I will have an allocated personal mentor, no one ever contacted me until I contacted them to ask a question. I put in so much effort to pass my theory and hazard, and yes I did. Now, when it comes to the practical - I believed the price of £2700 would have surely reflected on the quality of the course here. I was allocated to a unknown school with a pass rate of 75%, an old vehicle (2011 plate) with a shaky steering wheel and ABS light on the dashboard. Furthermore, the instructor was constantly wasting and killing off time so I did not receive my full training in the first two days. On the third day I decided I do not want to go and was HOPING for HGV training to allocate me to another school - as they said 'the vehicles are always ready we just need a test date'. Well no - instead they advised me to go back. How can I go back when there is tension between myself and the instructor, where I know the instructor does not care about me passing? Where the instructor is no acting in a professional manner - and most importantly where I know I am not getting the training I have paid for!? I WISH I had done more research and went with an alternative school, where they have high spec vehicles and professional instructors. Stay away from this firm. I have been waiting since September to pass my license, the week came today and it has been nothing other than a negative experience! The price I have paid for has not reflected on any positive aspects other than lies, false advertising and misleading customers. My advise is, do your research, you can find a school elsewhere because Specialised HGV will outsource you to a small unorganised, unprofessional school anyway. Do not fall into the trap of paying a high premium - because you will not receive anything quality in return!

Dec 17,2017Training and service at its best. Got my class 2 and class 1 from specialised hgv and the support from the trainer was excellent thoughout the training period. The staff were also friendly and helpful to get my paper work sorted.

Dec 15,2017Very good experience, everything was simple and easy to follow. The only niggle, and I'm not sure how in control Specialised are on this matter was that the modules were quite far apart and my CPC practical test was two weeks after my driving test which meant I had to delay sending my licence away for update, but again not going to mark Specialised down for it as I may have been the only slots available
