Hireup is an NDIS registered online platform for people with disability to find, hire and manage support workers who fit their needs and share their interests.
I am a NDIS participant. Hireup scores for me on 5 key factors: 1. Hireup strikes a good balance between fairness for users/clients and for support workers. For example, Hireup cost to clients are reasonable and I like the fact that Hireup has penalty rates for support workers. As a client I think it is important that support workers are happy. 2. Hireup admin staff are very reachable and engaged. They always assist with any issue or enquiry 3. I am a screen reader user and I appreciate the efforts Hireup is making to improve my user experience by addressing accessibility issues on its platform. There is a little way to go but Hireup is taking steps to fix issues. 4. Hireup seems to attract quality support workers. I have been amazed by the skills of the support workers I have engage through Hireup. 5. Hireup pricing is transparen (including the charges to clients and the payment to support workers). The billing cycle is regular. This is very helpful to me as a self-managed NDIS participant.
I am grateful for the experience. Although I have injuries I have found it hard in the past to find work suited for me, I receive emails regarding positions available but due to my circumstances have been disappointed with jobs emailed to me not considering my injuries etc.., not being able to assist. so it's been a bit trying to find enough work. Which is ok. I am able to do the couple of clients that I have and am grateful for that. thank You Kindly for the opportunity. I am grateful for the professionalism shown at all times and if I have any queries I have had the required support to sort queries out. Thank You! :)
Hireup has been great to work with meeting some lovely, motivating inspirational, and interesting people along the way. For most of the part the system is easy to navigate. A few tips would be: 1. A HIREUP APP so its easy to check messages and access the system. 2. In my opinion some of the commission percentages taken by hireup is much too high. 3. Is there no policy around last minute cancellations fee etc? 4. The messages would benefit having an auto options for if people are 1.not interested in a job or a support worker or 2. your interested but on a maybe list or 3. interested get back to the person by a certain date etc. (Its very frustrating when people do not respond to messages or start a conversation and say they will book on a certain day/date then disappear). Finally: I like the system where we work directly with people//families/carers needing support so their are no barriers with communication, it builds trust, respect and good work relationships and friendships between the team ( meaning participant, workers and the families). Thank you
Easy to browse jobs and profiles, with comprehensive information provided by site users. Ample support from the Hireup team. Great opportunity to choose your own work and work your own hours.
At what point or is there when a participant/client that state's manual lifting require for their condition , wheelchair bound , unable to walk , do Hireup recieve or ask for OT clearance for Support worker's. There is a huge risk to both parties if anything was to happen . When someone state's they can get in to a car at what stage do you get clearance. When they say they need assisting with personal care ext any form of manual handling confirmed does the company get clearance to protect all parties. Seeing that alot of clients are high care their needs to be a clearance . Someone's idea of manual handling is completely questionable . I feel in alot of cases they are a 2 person support when in community . This needs to be addressed. The risk I. Not assessing prior to joining fire up is a huge grey area , OT nightmare and high risk resulting in both parties being covered. If you wish to chat further please call 0432966180. Jo
Started off ok but since trying to replace carers the responses have been average at best.
Very supportive network when needed both for myself as a support worker but also I have experienced first hand support to my clients also ina prompt manner. I believe hireup is a great platform for all involved.
Hireup is so far the best NDIS agency for me. Three reasons why I gave them 5 stars are; the rate is very good, the hours are flexible and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Great company to work for. They are on the ball with everything and so supportive. The Website is so easy to use
Much happier where I am now

It's a little tricky to find the right match. We've had a few false starts but when you have a team you can call on it's gold.

Feb 17,2020Hireup has been a wonderful, non-fuss, easily maintained way of managing my son's carer needs. The system is fairly easy to navigate and when I have had any issues, Hireup respond quickly to emails.
