Jan 30,2024Purchased a storage tent for almost £900. I was advised it was comming in 7 boxes..only 5 arrived ..all damaged and loose items. I immediately contacted the supplier, supplied photographs and requested they collect the damaged boxes and provide a refund. They refused, saying the boxes often get damaged and that I should tell them what items were missing and they would send them on to me. The first thing missing was the TENT in a box 5M x 1.2 M....yep that big. There are over 100 items in the boxes and how was Ito know what is missing unless I try to assemble the thing. It could take months before it would be assembled waiting on missing parts. They then said they would then send a courier to collect the 7 boxes and when they get the boxes back they will arrange a refund. I told them they only sent 5 so how can I return 7? I spent 2 weeks trying to locate the missing packages...I even went to the couriers warehouse to ask them..they did not have it. They have refused a refund until they get all the boxes back. They are arrogant and unhelpfull. I tried to work with them but their attitude is simply...not a lot you can do about it we have your money. I have approached my bank for a refund and await their help. Thank you for your reply, which is disingenuous given I have correspondence telling me that NO refund would be given until ALL the goods where back with you and NOT when collected. As I explained on the telephone and in emails I did not have all the goods to return because they were never delivered and I should not be made to wait for a refund until you have located the undelivered or lost items. Further your correspondence to me clearly states that you often have packages delivered with damaged boxes due to the size and weight of the items included. This would be best addressed by putting them in more secure packages not by asking the customer to try to assemble a 6M x 3M structure and for them to itemise what is missing.

Putting it up single handedly was no problem although, because of the 6m length, I opted to stand the frame full height and unfurl the roof panel over the completed frame as I wasn’t happy to lift such a long construction, with the weight of the roof and fit the uprights on my own. So I used builders trestles and scaffolding boards to give me a steady work platform to reach the apex. All told, from unpacking to erected and bolted down, 2 hours. I used hilti M8 fixings and 25mm penny washers instead of tent pegs. It makes for a sturdy storage area on a concrete base.

Jan 26,2024We had a problem with the pop up tent bag and House of Tents were so accommodating and very generous in their customer service. Yacob arranged for a replacement bag to be sent. Would recommend House of Tents to anyone who was considering buying any type of gazebo.

Jan 25,2024I am an existing business customer of House of Tents having purchased a 15m x 10m tent. After a storm in December, the tent fabric ripped beyond repair. I ordered a replacement on 13th December 2023 and paid that day. I was told it would be dispatched within a couple of days. It is now 25th January 2024 and the new fabric has still not arrived. I have called and emailed, been told that it was dispatched in December and was delayed due to Christmas post, promised calls back but nothing. After calling again on Monday 22nd January 2024 I received an automated email as follows: Dear customer thank you for ordering with House of Tents. We are happy to tell you, that your order 100656381 of 13.12.2023 has been dispatched today. The person I initially dealt with was very helpful but has now shown that he really couldn't care less during phone calls and then never calling back. Very unimpressive.

Jan 16,2024The after sales service was outstanding, Spoke to a lovely guy on phone called Michael (UK phone no). Our gazebo blew over the 6ft fence in the last storm because we did not think it could possibly be blown away as took 4 men to lift it back over, I was surprised the only damage was 1 leg which the metal had actually split, Michael found the part was delivered within a week . Thank you so much House of tents glad we bought from a reputable company
