Jul 15,2020well i would first like to say that the sunset deluxe 3mx3m that i ordered on the 19th june arrived last week .we received an email to state it had been shipped the next day so we were probably looking at a delivery date about 26th to 29th going on the information we were given.we received it on the 8th July .I have now constructed the gazebo and it is very well made .it was packaged very well and was delivered by a uk based firm that were happy to help get it to the house .NOW I SEE THAT THERE HAVE BEEN A LOT OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING CUSTOMER SERVICE. I did have some email chat to find out the progress of shipment and was always answered and reassured what was happening. i think the problem is when it lands in the uk .its probably in a back log in a warehouse so longer delivery times.i do agree that there should be a better way of communicating but in these present times it is probably a bit more long winded .

Jul 08,2020Very poor after sales service. Advised delivery of 6m x 10m Marquee would be Monday 6th. Only part delivery arrived. No one answering phone to advise. Automated email advised would repsond within 48 hours. Tuesday 7th recieved further part delivery, but critical items still outstanding. UPS advised missing a box and it 'may' arrive Wednesday. Wednesday no delivery and no repsonse to email. Telephone advising 'out of business hours' despite being 1pm in the afternoon. I have a 'part marquee' that I can't install and can't speak to anyone at House of Tents. Shockingly poor service in this day and age. Will avoid at all costs in the future and advise anyone to do likewise.

Jul 06,2020Update 15/6/23 Had a request to provide more information ? This complaint was raised in 2020, its closed . 4 star is for the German Team, no stars for uk team. However l did have issues recently. I have had an issue getting any response from the UK team, tried unsuccessfully for many days, in the end l spoke to a very helpful person in Germany who answered all my questions, very professional , cannot say anything positive about the UK team. Update 10/7/20 After many attempts at trying to contact the UK numbers for House of Tents, I tried Tool Stop, and had an immediate response from two Gents: Andreas and Ismail, both very helpful and keen to resolve my problem, these guys were in Germany. Upshot is replacement item for Gazebo has been shipped, still nothing coming back from the UK bunch, and they say they will respond in two days. I will post a separate rating for Toolstop, but House of Tents are not rated here. I Purchased a Gazebo from House of Tents recently, initially the ordering element of the product was easy, it always is when theres money involved !. The product arrived on time from Germany via UPS. It all seemed to be seamless, until that is when I found a problem with the assembly, one of the main posts was not aligning with the frame, I could not complete the assembly. So, Ive called numerous times , finding the telephony system continually busy, with Agents never available, but requested to leave a message or to call back later, then the line went dead. No option to leave a message. Ive now sent a handful of emails with pictures of my problem, a week later there has still been no response, I have a half built Gazebo and getting very annoyed. The automated voice on the telephony system advises that if I could leave a message that customer service will respond in two working days, it has been a week!. No reply to voice or written requests, Customer Service at the house of Tents don't exist. I even opted to talk to sales via the phone options, again with nobody available to answer the phone, and then the line went dead. Theres obviously no after sales Customer Care at this company, I have a product that is half built and cannot be used until my problem is resolved , maybe BBC watch dog may be knocking on their door soon.

So much so that even though I haven't recieved my order which is now late, I have no interest in going ahead with this purchase now and I'm even beggining to think its fraud. I'm reporting to the bank now and will continue trying to call them.

Jul 05,2020Firstly I'd like to say the pop-up gazebo is a 5 star, the structure is brilliant and the material is such good quality, however, the velcro sides are not long enough to secure properly around the poles, leaving gaping gaps down the sides letting the rain, cold and wind in. Upon keep pulling at the the velcro to try to secure it, it began to weaken the stitching, which has now become weak and coming away from the material, therefore I'm unable to have sides on( I only purchased this 2 weeks ago) In my experience of having gazebos I've never not had one that has no extra protection on the side,this has no zippers nor side material which fastens from canopy to floor,so it does leave gaps all down the sides. My biggest complaint is that I have emailed HOUSEOFTENTS firstly for a price on replacement sides, NO REPLY!!!! 2nd to then explain my reason for needing replacement sides NO REPLY!!!! I called customer service many times always get told it's very busy call back or EMAIL them(jokes) as they dont get back to you. House of tents, your frame structure is fantastic, your customer service is very unsatisfactory, I'd like replacement sides please.

Jun 10,2020We have received our lovely Sunset Premium 3m x 4m gazebo a couple of days ago and erected it this morning - thrilled with it. Excellent quality and very easy to put together. We ordered this product during lockdown alongside other garden products from other suppliers within the UK. House of Tents fulfilled their delivery timescale (all the way from Hamburg Germany) -unlike many other UK suppliers with whom we placed supposed 'in stock' orders and are still awaiting delivery some 8 weeks on!! Very well done House of Tents - will be recommending you to all our friends. Just need the sun to return in the UK to use our lovey gazebo more!

May 02,2020Very bad quality tents, i purchased the economy tent and it collapsed the over night. The bars broke and damaged the roof as well. Assuming the tents are for outside they should be strong to at least hold and not break if i knew this I would have put the tent inside hahaha. Dangerous as well as they can break on anyone and cause injuries, but the company dont care about this they just care about the money and not safety of customers. Anyone buying tents for outside use or to use to go inside dont bother buying here as it may collapse on you

Mar 07,2020Bought this 3 years ago to build a boat in, due to the many storms we’ve had it’s taken a real battering but has stood up well. The roof has started to leak now so I contacted House of Tents and they supplied a new one at reasonable cost and very quickly. Great service. I can now look forward to another few years boat building, I can thoroughly recommend this product.

Feb 20,2020Bought this as a industrial 4m by 8m , from Germany,heavy duty use cover for my motorhome , at work , after 2 weeks in a sheltered high walled exterior outside place at work , most of the eyelets had ripped out , the doors at the front zippers had broken , the elasticated straps had snapped , I had to cable tie the covering to the bars , drove over the entrance bars , it flattened them ,as they were round poles for the frame work , just cheap crap ,E mailed the company , sent photos , they said it was just wear and tear , and said they would give discount , on new doors , I said ,What after 2 weeks,,, and then 2 week later buy more doors , don’t buy and don’t bother , ,, I told them I would give bad feedback , I’ve been in business 37 years , and the customers are your bread and butter ,,🙈🙈🙈

Feb 14,2020I ordered a 3 x 3 Sunset Premium Garden Gazebo from House of Tents last year. The length and weight of the delivery parcel was challenging for the carrier and for my wife and I! We are both in our seventies but, after a few false starts (the assembly instructions are in the form of diagrams), we were able to erect it ourselves despite its height. The gazebo comes complete with anchor bolts, which I drilled into the paving slabs on the terrace. We had a few issues with the curtains (tie-backs), which the House of Tents team resolved speedily. Storm Ciara recently destroyed the roof tarpaulin, so I ordered a replacement from House of Tents by email on Monday and it was delivered to my home in Lincolnshire on Wednesday. I am highly impressed by the efficiency and speed with which this company cares for its customers. I commend it without reservation. I am so glad that I anchored the gazebo or Ciara might have got it airborne!

Dec 29,2019I looked at various 4x8 storeage tents to use with a building project, I ended up with the economy version at £500 + £19 p&p, because I couldn't work out why from the description and instructions that the next level up was £800 + £150ish p&p the only difference seems to be a ground bar and leg pole diameter. I made the order in the evening and after some reflection I sent an email to ask them to hold the order the same night, I called the office just after it opened and was told the order had been processed and couldn't be stopped, the only option was to send it back. We realised it would need some additional support during assembly the supplied pegs wouldn't of held in a light breeze so we used rebar to peg it down, but the whole frame was somewhat flimsy and was going to need extra support, unfortunately before the roof battens, bolts etc arrived a "light breeze" according to the weather forecast had lifted the entire tent over the hedge and snapped 50% of the poles, 8 of the 10 legs had snapped. I called to price up new poles but it's not that simple, emails part no's and quotes needed, best I could get was about £10 for leg pole and if you need more than a few bits its cheaper to buy a new one, it was 4 days old! Gas pipe, nuts bolts and washers some time, 10 bags of postcreat, 100m of roof batten, 10 heavy duty ratchet straps, 200 large tie wraps, some more rebar, some cls, boxes of screws, washers. To sum up the cover is very tough the frame is not, spend some time to add cross bracing,the elastic toggles snap or the knots pull through, for a tent this big concrete ground anchors are needed or proper ground pins. This tent has now stood up to some severe wind, in truth much more than it was designed for with no further problems. Update June 2023 Got to say I'm pretty impressed with this tent now, over 3 years it's been up in a very exposed location, the cover is still really good and still waterproof there are some bits that are starting to wear through, but it has survived some really stong gales and to be fair it isn't intended to be used continuously, after adding the extra wooden roof batterns for some extra bracing the frame is still fully serviceable, all the original elastic toggle straps failed quite quickly, however similar size one's are readily available online, Ebay/Amazon for a few £s and they last quite well. Definitely 4.5stars now up from 3 stars originally.

Thomas and the team were brilliant from start to finish, they helped me with the selection which proved to invaluable advice, the product itself was better than expected, solid, easy to erect, with multiple points of entrance / exit, under advice we purchased the extra tie down kit which ensures that the Tent stays solid even during server weather, which when living in the North of England is highly recommended. I very rarely wright reviews, however such good service and product deserves two mins or any ones time, shop with complete confidence.

Aug 18,2019Bought a Garden Gazebo Hardtop Sunset Deluxe loft grey, 3x3m that looks absolutely stunning. Looked at many cheeper ones before buying. Wasn't impressed with any I looked at or reviewed. From the discription of this product it convinced me this was the right gazebo for me especially as it can sustain all kind of weather. The roofing pannels are 8mm thick the largest I found. Had a issue whilst assembling and emailed customer service and sales manager Diego Aspesi was very professional and resolved the situation ammediately. I would highly recommend House of tents for quality and service. I would be happy to send anyone a photo on request. Gary

Aug 15,2019I ordered a marquee and it arrived within the time stated. Had a couple of issues with the item but these were sorted very promptly. The marquee looks very good and is sturdy. Will definitely use the company again. I would recommend this company to my friends and family.

Jul 22,2019We ordered this marquee for an OAP garden party event in July. Marquee was easy to assemble and was perfect for this event. Very happy with the overall look and structure. We did have an issue with badly damaged boxes on arrival and parts missing. Replacement parts did not arrive on time for the event and had to be chased which was disappointing. We managed to source parts ourselves which luckily worked on this occasion and the replacement parts are now with us with a complimentary bottle of PVC cleaner. Thank you!

Amazingly quick delivery direct from Germany, nicely boxed with good instructions. HouseOfTents quickly replaced a few stripped bolts without fuss, we had probably over-tightened them. Good and helpful communication. Highly recommended, always go for the best you can afford.

May 30,2019i could not have wished for a better price or a better service as we had from houseoftents, as a community we purchased a 4m x 6m marqee/tent at a cost of £270 so always on edge spending the clubs money from abroad, but i did call the uk number and got a very pleasant lady on the other end of the phone answer a few questions about ordering,delivery and what to do in the event of damage on arrival as it said to inspect things on arrival and i doubt the delivery driver would want to wait for that,but she said that did not matter.so we went ahead and ordered it wednesday morning 8am it arrived as promised next day thursday at 1.30pm, checked to see everything was there next day it was and undamaged put it up the next day (on my own) so it can be done with exelent instructions supplied, it is very sturdy,well made and very strong. i would be very happy to recomend this company and there products without hesitation. i would give them 5 stars for professionalism,delivery and cost.

Jul 16,2020Just received the 4mx3m sunset deluxe gazebo, and finished constructing very happy. I agree with previous comments about the shipping slightly longer but it does say this when you place the order. All parts arrived, quality is better than i thought it would be. Just 2 points for me 1 is they are slow to communicate to emails and point 2 the construction time of 4hrs for 2 people is achievable if all you do all day is build these gazebo, reality is at least 7 to 8hrs the roof was a little fiddly but when fitted is solid. Top tip whatch the video that shows construction it helps more than the instructions i found. All in all great
