A part to the marquee at my business broke. HOT were very helpful & then sent me the part free of charge. Would not hesitate to recommend.
I bought a marquee for £420 for my daughters wedding and assembled and fixed it to the ground according to the instructions. Within a few hours the marquee had blown away and almost all of the poles were bent beyond repair. It was not particularly windy and it is clear that this product is not fit for purpose. The customer service I have received since has been appalling. I have sent many emails that have been ignored and have had to phone several times to get a response. The response has been very poor - suggesting that the damage is due to 'wear and tear' when we had only had the product for 2 days and only assembled it once before the damage occurred. I would never buy form this company again and would not recommend it to anyone else.

SCAM! We ordered a tent it says 2-3 days delivery but was 14 days. The gazebo poles were damaged on delivery so cannot be used. I have spent a whole month ringing to chase a collection, I am told someone will collect but no one does. I have emailed and filled out their contact form. I am told i will get a call back from the English team, not the German team but do not get one. I would not recommend this company at all. I have sent photos of the damage so they are aware. I am promised calls back to confirm collection from couriers but they don’t call.
If you want to receive first class customer service I would advise not to order anything from House of Tents. We ordered a marquee tent on Saturday 17th June for a funeral wake to be held on Monday 26th June knowing that we had plenty of time to receive it as the website quoted delivery in 3-5 days. We received an email confirming the order a day after and another email confirming part of the order was being picked up by UPS and delivery would be made on Thursday 22nd June or Friday 23rd June. By Thursday 22nd June we had received no further emails confirming delivery so I rang customer services who advised the tent had been ordered from Germany for some reason and we wouldn't receive it in time - no-one advised us of this. After numerous phone calls backwards and forwards I was assured the tent had been ordered from their warehouse in Ipswich and it would be delivered on Friday 23rd June, but it couldn't be guaranteed. Friday came and we received no email with delivery details so I rang and spoke to someone called Julien who confirmed we wouldn't be receiving the tent as UPS had 'messed up.' We now had no tent for the Funeral Wake on Monday 26th June. All he could advise was for us to cancel the order and that a refund would be generated and if we wanted to complain to send an email to their services email address. In total I called House of Tents 22 times on the Friday to get answers (which includes times I couldn't actually get through) and all I was told all the time was there was no manager available as he was on 'vacation.' We sent an email of complaint on July 2nd. We received an email on the 7th July confirming the refund had been processed. This refund finally showed up on our credit card on Wednesday 19th July which was probably due to the fact that we were covered by Buyer Protection from Service Trusted Shops who we contacted with regards to this situation. The level of Customer Service I received was far from acceptable and the worst I have ever experienced. It is now Monday 24th July and we are STILL waiting for a reply to our email of complaint and an offer of any compensation for the stress and upset which was caused at this very sad time.

They simply do not seem to be interested in sorting out the broken parts I have on the gazebo I purchased from them 2 phone call and 4 emails and 2 weeks on still not doing anything to replace the broken parts. Hundreds of £ spent with them and being ignored. I wish I had not bought from them and would advise against buying from them.
We purchased a marque just over 12 months ago - one of the support legs become damaged in the bad weather. House of tents were quick to respond and agreed to replace the leg free of charge. We are very happy with their quick response and high level of customer service.

I ordered a Marquee from this company on the 01.06 from an event taking place on the 16.06. When the goods arrived over half of the items were missing despite the company claiming I had received all the required boxes. Missing parts even included the cover for the marquee rendering it useless! After a significant amount of time spent going back and forth with their customer service department I was promised that the missing parts would be sent in time to arrive before the date of the event. I then spent the next days constantly chasing to the point where I was told that the goods were on their way and was even given a shipping number. I then had to arrange to work from home only to find that nothing arrived. After another telephone exchange on the day of the even the company finally admitted that nothing had actually left their warehouse! Luckily the weather held out for the event which went ahead as planned (Minus a marquee). The day after a package arrived containing the missing parts and I received an e-mail asking if I would keep the marquee if they threw in a bag worth ~£50!! on a £450 spend. This was declined and after about two weeks of messing around I finally received my refund. I have to say that the customer care was shocking, think twice before you buy.
The marquee's where as stated and were easy to erect. House of Tents were let down by their courier initially who did not deliver all the boxes but did respond to our compliant efficiently and sent out the replacement box at no extra cost.

Equipment is well designed and of good quality. Unfortunately it was delivered with some shortages which drove us into panic mode waiting for a few days for the missing items! We consequently received extra items, which they did not wish us to return, so finished up being the beneficiary’s! Would use this company again
Poles buckled and collapsed in strong wind when blown onto side. (It was not possible to fully secure to ground due to ground conditions - gravel over rock hard ground).
Placed an order with house of tents for a premium marquee for a small wedding event. Any queries I had with the order were quickly resolved with a carry case thrown in for free. Much appreciated. Just waiting for the marquee to arrive and put to use. Will leave another review of the product once used. Would recommend so far based on their service!
The person I spoke to about my order was very helpful and did what he said he would and got our order out the next day. We were putting on an Ask Your Community day with a curry and lots of good conversation. The marquee really enable us to be comfortable and not worry about any risk of rain. We are not able to use our hall at the moment due to roof damage so this will continue to be useful for our weekly events. A big thank you to your team.
