Mar 29,2023I have had my dog insured with IYP for 3 years now, and she had to have some teeth removed in January 23 so of course I put in a claim for this. Now, 2 months later I have only just found out that my policy was cancelled at the end of December 2022 because I had not responded to an email to advice me to update my payment details! This email never reached me for me to even be able to update my payment details and allow my policy to continue! Bearing in mind that I had text and telephone correspondance with the claims team and no one even told me that my policy had been canceled! I rang the claims team about 3 weeks ago to chase up my claim and that is when I found out about the cancellation! I had changed my email address last year so whoever made the change at their end did not update my email address correctly hence me not even getting an email to update my payment details! So, 3 weeks later I have still not heard anything back from IYP despite chasing this up twice a week as I asked this to be escalated to management as this is not my fault the email was incorrect, also, as they have my mobile, why didn't anyone text or call me to advise me of this situation?! So I am now £650 out of pocket with no Pet Insurance! This is not good enough and I am not at all happy. I expect contact about this case URGENTLY please.

They won’t/don’t want to pay on any claims submitted..Why have I been waiting for 5 months since I submitted a claim for the death of our beloved girl, all the time increasing the interest on my credit card used to pay the vets..I have been fobbed off so many times by automated emails, and when you do get to speak to anyone on the phone all I have got is “ I shall send it on to a claims handler and they’ll get back to you soon” b@llocks! Get your sh!t admin sorted and start settling claims for people who are having to deal with a distressing issue as it is.

Apr 05,2023Just dreadful price-hikes with no good explanation. The last three years have been £310 then £350 (+13%) then £410 (+19%). Ouch! Be wary.
