Recieved an email on 10th August stating they had recieved claim and it will take 10 weeks max. I emailed 11 weeks later to find out what was happening with claim, said they needed vaccination details and any other vet I have used. Supplied the info the same day. Received email back saying as he was a rescue dog they would need all the info of the rescue centre and the date the centre took him in or full medical history for the time before I adopted him, otherwise they couldn't settle claim. I replied with all the info I had, bearing in mind my dog is 6 and I have had him since 6 months old. I also noted that my policy gives no restrictions for rescue dogs and they should be used to dealing with rescue dog claims. Next email from them said they are contacting my vets for a full medical report and I should also contact my vet to request one and referenced my vets details for my information. It was NOT my vets information but in fact the rescue centre, I emailed to advise them of their mistake, only to be sent an identical email giving the same incorrect information. I have emailed again to advise of the incorrect information and have not had a reply. It was a simple claim that had no relevance to any medical condition of which my dog has none anyway. If you want full medical history, ask for it when you send the claim pack out for the vets to fill in, surely if the claim was linked to any previous conditions the vet would state that on the claim form.
Life cover doesnt mean life cover, only 8 years. The percentage of the vet bill isnt mentioned until you take out policy. Looked like you only pay the excess fee. Just about everything has a get out of paying out clause. I.e. proof of pedigree and inoculations up to date. (I have a rescue dog, owner died, no one to ask about these things). Have no confidence in bills ever being paid out on. And looks like only life saving ops paid for, so what is the insurance for?? Apart from illness. The price was fair thats all I can say.
Easy to get a quote and complete relevant details. However, the biggest thing about insurance is how well they deal with your claims, I hope we never need to find out#
Very good and helpful new bank card got me back a bit quick when I lost the old one lady on telephone very helpful Thanks
A good quote for what seems a comprehensive policy.
Had my claim acknowledged on the 24th July 2022, and still no sign of settlement. I have been with this company since 2018 and have never made a claim, every piece of correspondence with this company just goes round in circles. They even sent me incorrect information, contradicting a previous email they sent me. Luckily, I keep all emails as evidence as I do not trust this company at all. It is like they are looking for excuses not to settle your claim, they ask the same questions, it takes them sometimes 20 days to respond, I wish I had read the reviews when my policy came up for renewal because I would have left. Please avoid at all costs, I had to make a claim for my other dog who luckily was insured with a different company, they had the claim settled within a month, so 4 months and still counting for a settlement is not acceptable.
I am still waiting for the insurance for my dog that died in June very upsetting Sue Green
Been insured with Insure your paws now for about three years plus and always paid by direct debit. First time Gad to put a claim in, it has taken three months to get an answer on my claim and still not received payment. Beware, Very slow dealing with claims.

Terrible, I am still waiting for them to pay my claim after 2 months!! They send emails saying they are busy because they have had a 'lot of claims' well that is what you should expect as an insurance company. I called two weeks ago and was told it not even been looked at and that they would send it that day to an claims assessor. Still nothing, I pay for a £10k lifetime which is not cheap, but I would never have gone with them if I knew how bad they would be. I am now going to start the formal complaint process and will take this to the Financial Service Ombudsman as this is totally unacceptable!
*** No Better Than Scammers*** I bought a lifetime policy with £10,000 of cover for vets fees. At no point when I was buying the policy was I told that “Cruciate Ligaments” would only be covered for a total of £3,000. The bloody X-rays and initial medication were £1,000. I have tried and tried to speak to someone, absolutely no chance. These outfit are “No Better Than Scammers” Had I been made aware prior to purchasing the policy that such a common injury would not be covered then I definitely wouldn’t have bought it. How on earth can you claim to help and care about our animals- you don’t give a S**T it’s just about money.
Easy to deal with, spoke to a real person which is always a benefit :-)
Made a claim in July for my dog’s cancer treatment and it’s now late October - I haven’t heard anything except a couple of automated emails saying it’s taking them a long time to settle claims at the moment (no kidding). In the same period they’ve managed to automatically renew my policy, nearly doubling my monthly charge. Don’t insure your beloved pets with these guys.
Policy prices are competitive, but I wish I never changed from my last company. That’s as good as this company gets. I made a claim back in July and still haven’t heard back or the claim been settled and it’s now nearly the end of October. In this day and age that is totally unacceptable. Stay away from this company, wish I read the rest of the reviews on here about them not settling claims.
A very competitive quote for the lifelong policy. Not the least expensive but we had excellent service from IYPs for our previous much lived dog so very happy to engage the company again. All very straightforward to set up on line.
Great and easy to talk to customer service! They sorted out something i put wrong on the policy straight away!
I received a reminder about renewing my dog's insurance in good time therefore I was able to do some online research to ensure that the renewal quotation for the future year remained good value for the future year. I was shocked to find that a new online Insure Yours Paws customer (as opposed to a returning customer) was quoted a service £12.00 cheaper. I thought it only fair to contact the supplier to ask why this was the case - however, the response was totally unsatisfactory. I was informed that the quotation which I had received by email was £1.00 per month more expensive because I had made contact with them ..... thus I had utilised the customer service and this results in a cost? But I only contacted customer service AFTER the quote was received! It seems despite several attempts the customer service advisor could not understand my call was as a result of the more expensive quotation (and the reason for my call) - I wanted to ask if I could receive the same offer as a new customer (why should an existing customer be penalised for returning)? Obviously there is no option to discuss the anomaly online therefore a phone call is the only way a discussion can be held. Eventually, the lady said she would put a request through to a different section to ask if any discount was available to me - she promised to return my call the following day. Having experienced other situations where a return call is not received, I asked the lady for her email address/some way that I could get in touch with her to follow up rather than involving someone new ...... but, for whatever reason, she would not provide either her extension or her email address. She did however promise to get back to me - and she told me "I give you my word" I will call you tomorrow. 5 working days later still, no call from any Insure Your Paws customer services. I was very annoyed and indeed I felt like going to a different insurance provider at that stage. Against my better judgement, I decided to write to customer services to request a different advisor followed-up on my query. I had not experienced any difficulty during the previous year's insurance policy/procedure, so I thought that one bad apple shouldn't spoil the outcome for the company. The day for renewal arrived I was left no choice but to renew using the online service. I had begun my research with ample time but the unsatisfactory service from the customer service department and the time taken for any response (which incidentally did not offer the lower rate), meant I remain disappointed. I just hope if I need to claim I obtain more empathy and understanding - time will tell
I felt extremely embarrassed with my vet how long it took for insure your paws to settle the claim I made for my pet. This company is hell bent on making sure they have received all medical history before settling any claims. It does not matter if you have every bit of info to give them. The company will verify all information given to them by contacting all vets that have ever treated your pet in the past. They want to know about full vaccination history, who you got your pet from and on what day. They want to see all your dogs papers before they settle. For me it took 7 months for the company to settle a claim for my dog. So embarrassing
I've used Insure Your Paw for 6 years and up to this year have been brilliant. I made a claim in July and it took me over 10 days to get through to them on the phone and I must have wasted at least 10 hours on hold. 3 months on and they still haven't processed my claim. Stay well clear of them

Dec 04,2022The reason people take out pet insurance is so if they need to make a claim they know they are covered with payout around 7 to 10 days .well not this company 13 weeks I’ve been waiting for a £300 payments as still not got it your better of putting the payments in the the bank if I could give less than 1 star I would.
