Mar 11,2024We run Five Acres Community Garden CIC, based in Newton Aycliffe. We are a bespoke Day Centre for 16+ years School & College Leavers with Learning Difficulties. Following a grant from Great Aycliffe & Middridge Partnership (GAMP) We contacted Jorvik Tricycles to supply 3 x electric trikes for our Champions. We ordered 3 trikes, they were delivered when promised and you will not appreciate the difference they will make to our Champions lives, some of which have never ridden a bike before - life changing and absolutely marvelous. Jorvik Tricycles are great people to deal with - will certainly purchase from them again.

Mar 04,2024Ordered a tricycle on 27th Feb, item showed as an in stock item therefore should have been dispatched next working day. Telephoned today 4th March to ask if they had any idea when delivery would be, as website states 3-5 days. Only to be told by a really rude customer service member that the item was out of stock and we would now be looking at towards end of March. Rude person in customer service insisted that item would have been showing as out of stock and simply would not believe what I was telling her. We now have to wait for this item another 3 weeks or so. It is a birthday present, the person chose the colour ( there was only 2 colours in stock ) and now we have to tell her that it won't be there for her on her birthday. Really p####d off with customer service person, and if it weren't for the fact that this was chosen specifically by the birthday girl I would cancel. Would I recommend this company to others ? Not a chance. Really disappointed.

Feb 26,2024As an update trike assembly was easy and even more impressed with the trike - its the JMt7 - really well constructed, excellent components and a LOT of thought has gone into build quality and the best components. HIGHLY recommend this model and so many interested neighbours in getting one as well. Well done Jorvik! Easy to ride and 250 watt motor more than enough power.

Feb 07,2024Great experience on the new test track.Friendly people. James saw us ahead of our appointment as we arrived early and James was brilliant teaching Anna to ride the trike. We ordered and were told it would be delivered within a month and it is coming tomorrow after only 8 days.

Feb 03,2024Amazing facilities. Having a test track was fabulous, and being allowed to try out so much of the range went a long way to helping us to choose the right trikes for us. Rosie was wonderful- welcoming, friendly, knowledgable, supportive and so patient. We were even allowed to try out fitting a trike into our small van. We had a wonderful day.

Jan 19,2024Buying a bike has never been so easy — or hard… bikes are available everywhere and at a huge range of prices for a huge range of models and qualities. But buying an e-trike is totally different, and more so when I wanted to buy one for my beloved partner who no longer felt stable enough on a two-wheeler. And, this was in 2021 in Spain… and I ended up at Jorvik, where, in a couple of phone calls I was helped quickly, efficiently and in a very friendly way. Not long afterwards, after paying import duties, a huge crate was delivered containing the trike, that was easy to put together. Two years later, I needed some plastic trims that were eventually sent at no cost except the postage — a very reasonable deal! Only the import duties were ridiculous, but the trike was looking good again. A year later, a problem with a bearing developed that in the UK could most likely have been fixed at the local bike shop. But this is Spain and such matters work differently here. However, the important thing is how Jorvik dealt with my requests for information and suggestions. That service was amazing, fast, thoughtful, friendly and perfectly supportive for having the work done here… at a motorbike repair workshop! Full marks to Jorvik for being so supportive!

Dec 30,2023I have done over 4000 miles on my Jet E and could not be more pleased. I have balance problems and so not able to ride a normal bike. The trio has got my out and about in town and allows me to shop. I am now thinking of upgrading to a mountain version to allow longer journeys.

Dec 18,2023I love my trike and it is frequently admired . However it was stolen on 18th August 2023 nd I had to buy a new one. Naturally I had a battery charger and 2 batteries. The company refused to sell me a trike without a bettery and charger . This means I have three batteries and two chargers,

Nov 27,2023Purchased my Jorvik October this year and haven’t looked back’ a marvellous piece of engineering . Easy to use just takes a little more concentration than a normal cycle , the pedal assist used for the toughest hill climbs is great for me as I have MS and sometimes struggle towards the end of my rides . Would and will still recommend these tricycles to everyone who asks me about them .

Nov 24,2023Jorvik is a small company. I think all the staff know each other. I think all the staff really want me to be happy with my trike, and the way they handle its repair. I wish more companies were like Jorvik. ❤️

Nov 14,2023Very impressed with the build quality. Bit weird when you first ride it, being a trike. Got it for my wife and she loves it now. Disappointed though you have put up your prices by £600 each model, would have bought myself one if you kept prices as was.

I booked an appointment to meet with them in York, it was a great to see and try their Tricycles, the lady Rosie could not of been more helpful, she had an excellent knowledge of the bikes, was very personable it has certainly confirmed our interest in purchasing two electric tricycles from such a great company….thank you.

Nov 08,2023I bought a second hand Jorvik Trike locally. It had been neglected and a central wheel nut was missing from the back wheel. Hardly daring to hope I emailed Jorvik Trikes and Marta responded quickly. I sent her some photos and she sourced another nut despite the trike being quite an elderly model. This is in the post to me now and she offered me tips if I need them on riding a Trike. Caring and speedy customer service. Excellent

Nov 06,2023Having looked at the trike market Jorvik seemed to be the best option for me. I organised a demo sometime in advance. James spent quite sometime with me making sure the bike fitted me properly and that I was confident using it. On the strength of that I ordered their JMT 13 along with some accessories. It was delivered on time as promised. It didn’t take long to assemble and I’ve had several rides on it and I am loving it. Thank Jorvik for excellent service!

Nov 06,2023Prompt attention to the order & good customer information after a slight misunderstanding as to the availability of selected colour. All effort was made to supply the chosen colour. The delivery went smoothly & the lorry driver was both very helpful & courteous. The trike was very well packaged & arrived in perfect condition. The spare battery ordered did not arrive but another piece of unasked for equipment ( a spare basket) did. The company was contacted & the matter investigated & resolved very quickly. No further problems. I find the trike of the good quality i expected & promised & look forward to many happy hours of freedom & mobility.

Nov 03,2023Service worst ever. Absolute disgrace. I told them I am a disabled pensioner, deaf and I have a brain tumour and very poor balance. I bought the trike second hand as I needed to be able to safely go outside and could not afford a new one. I purchased from Jorvik a seat with back support and a set of indicators. The seat was delivered by a young Chinese couple who could speak no English. The package was broken open when handed to me.Seemed to have been stood on or kicked. No bubble wrap or similar protection. The seat back is damaged. They accepted no responsibilty for the damaged seat back despite me having sent a photograph. The indicators box was also damaged, as if the box had been stood on. They offered to refund the indicators if in ' new condition'. They were not in new condition when I received them. Their senior manager emailed me on 13 October 2023 demanding that I contact her 'IMMEDIATELY by telephone' despite me having made it clear in the first sentence of my previous email that I am deaf. Emailed me yesterday 2nd November, to say the returned box was damaged and pieces missing. In their email they offered to return the same damaged indicators to me but only if I authorised them to charge me an additional £8 for the privilege. The indicators cost over £36; similar ones available on internet for a third of the price. Shame on them. They may have many excellent reviews but if you have a genuine complaint about their service it is not worth contacting them.

Nov 03,2023The trike that I bought is very well made and in the words of the person who put it together for me "a fantastic machine". But, the description of who can ride a machine like this and what it can be used for is misleading. I run a small farm, I hoped for a pedal powered, SAFE, off road vehicle to get me round the property without using an engine. The trike I bought was described as suitable for my needs. These trikes do not have rear axle suspension and the rear axle is very narrow. Unless you are a strong athlete, skilled in off road cycling, you may, like me, find these machines frightening and unmanageable. I have been tipped off of mine several times because I didn't manage to lean out to counter balance the rough terrain in time, I hurt my shoulder badly and I am now afraid of the trike. Mine is for sale and I am extremely disappointed. Edited to add: Jorvik Tricycles asked me to write a review in exchange for touch up paint which I recently asked to purchase.

Mar 14,2024Attended to open day. Plenty of people on hand to help discuss the product. Also spent a lot of time helping me get the hang of how to ride the tricycle. Very useful having a good sized indoor track, especially for learning to steer.
