Feb 14,2021We had a cold call from this firm and we were given a price for a window and brickwork to turn our garage into a room. They sent a surveyor around and 3 weeks later, we got a phone call to tell us it would cost another £900. I couldn’t afford such a price increase and I asked for my deposit back. It was their mistake but there was no negotiation with them at all. It was £900 more or we are not doing the job! Thank you for your reply below but we were told that we had to pay for the building regulations separately ourselves, anyway. For you to say this was the reason for the increase in price is misleading.

Feb 04,2021I have my suspicions about this company. Let me tell you a story. In around 2017 we had our fascias, soffits and a new window fitted by a company called JWS based in St Helens. When we came to sell our property we discovered that the window had not had FENSA registration. I investigated and found JWS had gone bust. But then discovered this company called JWS home improvements, and read that this was the same company operating under a slightly different name. I called JWS and they claimed to be a totally different company who knew nothing about the works we’d had done. So at cost to ourselves we had to have a building control inspection to regularise the work. Lo and behold, today I had a knock on the door from someone from JWS. First and foremost pushy and patronising ‘is your Mr at work love is that why you can’t make a decision’. Erm no, my Mr trusts me to make decisions as I do him because I’m not a moron because I’m female. Thanks. Secondly, this man, when I explained I knew of the company already clearly remembered installing the window in our loft, and clearly recalled where our old house had been without me even telling him. Strange that, a company with no links to the former company but funnily enough the same person worked at both? Sales people were pushy last time too. In summary, I don’t trust them. I see they have lots of great reviews, but I would have to question why they feel the need to cold call and use pushy tactics if business is that great. Make sure they register your work when needed.

Jan 26,2021Just had our conservatory roof done, tiled and insulated, plastered and spot lights. We could not recommend this company enough. Excellent job from start to finish. Three really good lads did the work. Mark, Adam and Eddy. Work finished in no time and very professional, cleaned up and took everything away. Thank you from Mr and Mrs Hodgson

Dec 23,2020Excellent company I was informed when workmen where to arrive all arrived on days stated and jobs done were totally satisfactory. Had conservatory roof upgraded and two doors fitted, no mess at the end of any of the installations. Would use the company again without hesitation.

Dec 18,2020After an initial visit for a full quote, and the subsequent fitting of windows to my house, I am delighted with the look and feel, and especially the reduction of noise and increase in heat. Yes, there was a delay but in today’s world, is that really an issue? Especially when I was informed and updated at every step. A very professional job and a special mention to the fitters Craig and James who completed the work without fuss and cleared everything away. Job well done JWS 👍🏻👍🏻

The guys were reliable, they worked hard, the job was completed on time and to a high quality. They also cleaned up after themselves! From the initial quote to the finished product, we cannot recommend JWS enough. Thank you!

So glad we did ... From start to finish Shay & Tony where so hardworking and professional as was Terry the electrician and his apprentice. The work was completed in 3 days as they worked non stop. Nov 10,2020I agreed to a salesman coming on the premise that there'd be no hard sell and they were a local company- absolutely nothing like safestyle or those firms mentioned on programmes like watchdog. We were promised a no obligation quote, good for 12 months. This didnt happen and the sales man was just like a safestyle salesman. He gave the sales patter, the vague discount, followed by the 'tell you what, if you sign up tonight I will phone my boss to ask for more discount' - telling my husband the boss was a multi millionaire who was probably sat sipping a whisky and we were disturbing him ?! He had been at our home for over an hour and at this point we realised we wanted him gone. I think they were a small local firm thats been taken over by one of those massive companies who use the same sales practices- they did our soffits years ago and they were great - these feel like an entirely different company now. Massively disappointed and they've lost a potential customer.

Nov 05,2020I love the door and it’s very beautiful and strong and makes my house warm as no cold can enter . The two guys that fitted the door were so lovely and friendly and warm to talk too . They fitted the door to the highly standard. Only I forgot when I was buying to ask for the door that don’t lock its self . I highly recommend it to anyone and they cleared all the Rubish and took old door . Thank you JWS for your super service

Oct 27,2020I was doubtful that a solid roof on our conservatory would make any material difference, however I was wrong! We have had the conservator for 20 years and have only been able to use it effectively for a few months each year due to temperature extremes. Within a few days of the work being completed it was evident that the temperature balance in the "new room" was much better than I had expected - we have created a new functional inside space that feels like being outside! I had to admit that my wife was actually right! A first time for everything! JWS staff were exemplary in undertaking this work. They were professional and courteous throughout the work, from the initial meeting to the very end, and the quality of the finished product was excellent. Thank you JWS

Mar 02,2021JWS installed a full refit of Faclas, Soffits,Cladding and guttering to front and rear of my property. Very happy with the cost. Installers turned up when they said they would. Only took 2 days. No mess made. No disappointments. Absolutely second to none Customer Service.Very accommodating. Easy to reach. I would most certainly recommend this Company as they are most trustworthy and reliable. Great Job. Great Company
