Lepetexpress offers a fantastic service for anyone traveling with pets across the Channel. The experience was smooth and hassle-free, thanks to their well-organized and professional approach. The seats were comfortable, and the minibus was clean and equipped for both pets and owners. Both Brenda and the driver were incredibly helpful, guiding us through all necessary checks and ensuring everything was in order. It's good value for money considering the limited options for traveling with pets. I highly recommend staying in Calais overnight to avoid any last-minute issues. Overall, a reliable and stress-free service that I would definitely use again. 4 stars!
This is by far one of the most amazing service provider I have ever used. Not only to travel with my dog but in general! Brenda and the team keeps you updated during the trip, they help you with all the documents and make sure there is no hiccup along the way. Honestly is a no brainer if you are looking into ways to cross the border with your pet. I have used this company several times and everytime we feel taken care of by the most professional team.
I took the pet express with my pug back to Uk, Sean was my driver from france to uk, I I could rate it higher I would top service best way to bring your fur baby to and from UK 100 percent recommed
I had a wonderful journey back to UK with my pet from France thanks to Le Pet Express. After learning I could not go back with my pet to UK by plane, the world has stopped. I was contacting various travel agents, British embassy and trying to get my head around how to return home with my cat. Likely I came across on internet Le Pet Express service after talking to Brenda she put my mind to rest. I booking the journey with them and Brenda checked my pet documents pointing out what needs to be amended. The driver was very friendly and helpful. It went way better than I expected. Thanks to Le Pet Express team for a great job that you are doing !
I don’t usually write long reviews, but I thought this one might help others. Overall a great experience with this company. The driver was obviously very knowledgeable and provided step by step updates as the process progressed, as well as giving ample opportunity for the pets to come out of their cages for a drink/walk as needed. There was also a stop close to the border so that we could grab a coffee etc. while we waited for our train number to appear for customs processing. I travelled with a dog from France to the UK, with 4 other pet owners. The van can take up to 5 people, and appeared to have 6 medium sized cages to take the animals right next to the owners seat, with space just above for bags, all well secured. The Frethun railway station where pickup occurs is very quiet, with no food/drinks available other than vending machines. If you arrive early you might think you’re in the wrong place! For people used to crossing the previous land borders between European countries the process of actually crossing should be relatively familiar with 2xpolice and 2xcustoms checks all occurring before boarding the train. There is also an additional check of animal paperwork prior to getting to police/customs checks. I had a uk animal health certificate, and the check was relatively straightforward, but I had a 10min wait in a queue before getting to the actual check (I’m not sure how busy it is usually). Paperwork is looked at, and you’re asked to scan the pets microchip yourself with the reader handed to you. If the paperwork is in order it seemed to take only a few mins, but while waiting in the queue there were at least 3 separate groups arguing about deficiencies in the paperwork they had, so use Brenda’s knowledge to check your travel documents beforehand! If taking a dog on this route, my suggestion is that you perform the tapeworm treatment required as late as possible, while making sure you take into account the min 24hr period prior to crossing. I had a flight delay so travelled across a day later than planned, and channel train bookings are also sometimes cancelled - there were people in front of us who were turned away due to a train cancellation meaning that they had to come back the next day with potentially expired certification. These sorts of delays could mean you’re travelling later than planned. I’d suggest that the actual tapeworm treatment window should be between 1 to 3 days before travelling to be certain. Arrival at Ashford was straightforward, with drop-off right in front of the building. We arrived within the 6:00-6:30UK time window advised by Brenda by email. The vehicle itself was modern and very clean, with cages/seats etc all good/better than expected. The driver advised that they were planning on increasing number of vans in the coming months to 3, with more crossing times available. Overall an excellent experience.
I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude and say a huge thank you to the owner of the business and our driver that day. They were professional and efficient from start to finish. My cat is safely back home and couldn't be happier. Best regards, Theo
Excellent professional service from Brenda and the team.
I had THE BEST experience with the service. I’m so grateful this exists and it couldn’t be easier. Super comfortable seat, very clean and everything went very smoothly. I highly recommend NOT travelling from Paris to Calais the same day to avoid any train cancellations/issues (trust me, I went through it and it wasn’t fun). Stay in Calais for the night and have plenty of time the day off to get to the station where the driver will meet you. Lovely service and will definitely book again for the next time I take my doggie with me abroad!
I cannot speak highly enough of Brenda and LePetExpress. The two of us brought our dog across from London to Paris for holiday and back and the entire process went so smoothly from booking, the pre check of documentations, the pick up, the shuttle experience, and the drop off. Brenda and her team are highly communicative, transparent, organized, and professional particularly through the process of registration, documents, customs, etc that is genuinely confusing without their experience. On one of the legs we ran into some hurdles with documentation and Brenda was such an incredible resource and partner as we navigated through it successfully. We were so grateful for her depth of knowledge, patience, comradery, and support. This is an amazing service and would highly recommend to everyone.
Pet Express offers a great service and one of very few possibilities to get over the channel as a foot passenger with your pet. The driver was very friendly and helpful and drove a clean minibus. I had problems at the pet reception centre in Calais and was fortunately able to get a place on the service for the following day at a good discount. Please make sure your pet passport is not missing one single detail! The Eurotunnel staff are pedantic. Mine, despite being absolutely up to date with vaccines, worming treatment etc. chip corresponding to the same dog and being the same passport we have travelled on regularly for the last 9 years, they insisted on the vets’ address page which was missing so this involved an expensive, cash only visit to the vet and another night in a hotel. Despite these problems with Eurotunnel, Pet Express did everything they could to help rectify them.
I was so impressed with this service, great communication and Brenda was so helpful when I had a problem before setting off. The bus is clean, comfortable and well-equipped for both pet and owner. Barry, our driver, was helpful and friendly, he made sure we had the right documents and guided us through the Eurotunnel checks. I also think its good value for money given there are limited options to get your pet across the channel if you don't want to drive yourself. I was very grateful for their help to take my puppy to France, and will use their service again. Thank you!
All went very well. Service was punctual, easy to find, very friendly and overall very helpful - can absolutely recommend.
Really great and reasonably priced service. They collected us, kept us updated of any tunnel delays and the whole process from booking to drop off was really smooth. We will definitely use them next time we travel.
What a wonderful service. Brenda made everything easy for us pick and transfer to Calais so stress free. Wish I'd known about it earlier will definitely use it again.... infact already booked for September !
Brenda and Sean are the sweetest! They helped me and my doggy go back home on time , although there's been some obstacles along the way. Don't worry if you've never travelled with your furry friend before , you're in good hands !
It was a great experience to travel with them from Calais to Ashford International, they communicated each step very clearly and helped to ease the whole process of travelling with a dog.
This service was absolutely amazing. The entire process was smooth from booking through to drop off. Brenda was friendly and welcoming, her knowledge of the process, requirements, regulations etc was amazing so I had complete confidence in the service. I would thoroughly recommend Brenda and the team to anyone - it could not have been easier and less stressful!
DO NOT use this company's service, please. They made me go through one of the MOST UNPLEASANT days of my life. I booked the service with this company in April to travel with my dog on June 8th, and I received email confirmations of my reservation, and everything seemed fine. The day before my trip, I went to the website to take a screenshot of the reservation and realized that my reservation had been canceled. I never received ANY email or notification from the company about this cancellation. When I called Brenda to clarify the situation, she told me that unfortunately, there was a problem with the website and my reservation had been canceled. Brenda was extremely rude, completely lacking in empathy, arrogant, and overbearing. Her solution was to include me 8 days later in a service from France to the UK... 1 WEEK LATER! When I brought my dog from Panama to Paris, and I had to fly from Manchester to Paris to pick her up, paying for hotels and other super expensive costs. Brenda, you are a DISGUSTING person... you should not work in this type of service, especially when emotions and feelings are involved like relocating with your pet (which for many are literally like a child). Then I hired another transport service, which cost me double what I had paid at Le Pet Express... and the person who attended me at that company told me that Le Pet Express always does this kind of thing because they don't actually have daily trips. They base their service on meeting a minimum quota of people traveling per day... so if you book a day, and unfortunately you are the only one who booked that day, they will cancel you without any explanation or solution. DO NOT use this service, I would much rather pay more money but be at peace than risk living the unpleasant experience they made me go through.
The service is unique, reasonably priced, and extremely helpful for navigating an otherwise challenging journey.

Dec 04,2024I should have left this review a while ago. These guys are the best! Taking your beloved pet across the border (especially the first time), can be so stressful. But they will answer all your questions, have great suggestions for vets, and are so responsive in all ways. I dealt mainly with Brenda, who was just the best. She'll do everything she can ahead of time so that you won't have any problems on the day. Then, on the day of travel they went above and beyond. Sean was great. So nice. So helpful. Took care of everything. Both going to France as well as returning to the UK. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
