May 06,2021As an Eye Surgeon very experienced in laser eye surgery, who had previously undergone Conductive Keratoplasty (CK) treatment that had worn off (regressed), I was now faced with a choice of further treatments for my eyes. These included LASIK, with or without Blended Vision (PRESBYOND), or Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE). As I have no cataracts I dismissed RLE surgery immediately because of the significant risks and unpleasant side effects like permanent glare and halos. After a thorough and highly professional assessment by Professor Dan Reinstein and his team I was found suitable for PRESBYOND treatment. The surgery was quick, painless, and delivered an outcome beyond my wildest dreams. I have excellent spectacle-free distance and near vision with no regression after nearly 3 years. Highly recommended!

May 02,2021I had blended vision carried out at the LVC with fantastic results. From the first appointment to the 3 month check up, I felt well looked after with plenty of information and reassurance given. The operation itself was fast and pain free and, although I experienced pain in my eyes for a few hours afterwards, I had been warned that might happen and given eye drops specifically for that which helped enormously. My vision got better and better over the three months following the operation and is now really good for both distance and reading. I can tell that it is still improving every day. It is amazing to no longer wear glasses or contacts. I’m so pleased I had it done at LVC - the staff were all so friendly and reassuring. I would highly recommend the LVC.

Amir (optometrist) and Mr. Carp (surgeon) both did a brilliant job at setting me at ease about the whole process and making sure I understood and felt secure about my treatment. I would highly recommend LVC to anybody considering laser eye surgery. I had a very positive experience overall - the clinic's efficiency and professionalism was evident every step of the way.

Apr 28,2021The thought of laser eye surgery had always terrified me. However, my increasing frustration over contact lenses versus glasses and never having the right glasses at hand finally led me to re-think the prospect. So, following a personal recommendation I contacted London Vision Clinic and I am so pleased ... The time, thoroughness and care taken during the assessment of my eyes eased most of my concerns and the actual laser surgery was unbelievably quick and painless. The difference to my daily life has been improved immeasurably and the continued after care offered by LVC is reassuring. I would not hesitate to recommend LVC and believe that for such procedures it is critical to see out "the best" and not try to minimise the expense.

Every tiny details is thought out and delivered with such high standard as well as class. I was wholly supported and that included personalised support from Glenn over Xmas hols when I was unsure about a slight sensation I was experiencing which ended up being an eye lash in my eye! (Sorry Glenn🤦♀️!) I’m a real critic- & LVC you surpassed all expectations and nailed your care & hospitality- wish I have more eyes to treat!

Apr 24,2021Wow, what a clinic! Would 100% recommend, couldn't fault them in any aspect. From initial telephone enquiry through to my 3 month checkup so far, they have treated me like their only client!! The surgeon (Alistair) put me at ease instantly and the care he showed even by a text the evening after surgery checking everything's ok with me meant a lot. If you are unsure or wonder which company to use, do go for the LVC, you won't be disappointed!

Apr 23,2021I’ve been a glasses and contact lenses wearer for 25 years. As a result I have had several ulcers in both eyes, I was told one was dangerously close to my pupil which would have resulted in server sight loss, this frightened me enough into researching laser eye surgery. The London Vision Clinic has been professional, caring and easy to communicate with throughout my treatment! I would highly recommend them. My hobbies mostly involve water sports and now I don’t have to think about not being able to see when I’m in or on the water! This is the best well-being investment I’ve ever made!

The way I was treated and looked after from start to finish was just incredible, and even now after my treatment I am regularly updated by the clinic on my next checkup and informed on how my eyes are going with eye drops being sent to my home with ease. I had been considering surgery for some time, debating the pros and cons and after a thorough consultation with the staff at the London Vision Clinic I felt 100% confident that the option was definitely for me. The team at the London Vision Clinic were absolutely amazing and Mr Glenn Carp, who carried out my surgery put me completely at ease. I was made aware of every aspect of the procedure and completely understood how the surgery would work. The aftercare was second to none and Mr Carp himself texted regularly to see how I was getting on. My life has changed completely since ditching my glasses and I can’t thank the London Vision Clinic enough. For anyone thinking about taking the first step towards laser eye surgery, I would thoroughly recommend you take the plunge with the London Vision Clinic.

Apr 22,2021With a very high prescription, dry eyes and large pupils, I'd previously had a couple of assessments for laser eye surgery and been told that I was not a suitable candidate. Recently I read about SMILE, which sounded like a possible solution. I booked an appointment with London Vision Clinic, went through extensive tests, and was told that SMILE would work for me. Within a couple of weeks I had the surgery, and have been delighted with the results. Having had a -9 prescription for 30-odd years, I can suddenly see as soon as I wake up in the morning. The aftercare has been excellent. Everything about the experience has been impressive and I'd highly recommend London Vision Clinic.

Mar 31,2021I have worn a combination of spectacles and contact lenses for 35 years and am high myopic with astigmatism in both eyes. As I approached my 50th birthday, also began to experience the dreaded presbyopia. I visited a well known high street outlet and was informed that I was not suitable for laser eye surgery and was recommended for Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) which I agreed to. On the morning of surgery, I just didn’t feel that I was making the right decision and I rang to cancel, losing my pre-paid fee, I conducted some more research and noted that Which Magazine had listed the London Vision Centre as the Number 1 establishment in the UK for Laser Eye Surgery and I emailed for some advice. My Patient Care Co-Ordinator (Rhiannon) could not have been more accommodating and patiently answered my multitude of silly questions. She suggested that I visit the Centre for some diagnostic tests which would clarify my suitability or unsuitability for treatment. Due to my prescription Rhiannon advised that I was in the ‘High Profile’ category and that the treatment cost was fixed at £6,200. I travelled down and undertook a battery of tests with the Optometrist (Lizzie) who explained the function of each test and why it as necessary. I travelled back 3 days later to meet the legendary Professor Dan Reinstein who confirmed that I was the ideal candidate for ReLEx SMILE with Laser Blended Vision. He said that upon review I had fallen into the ‘Standard Profile’ and that the cost had reduced to £5,200. Professor Reinsten carefully went through all of the risks, patiently contextualising them so that I could relate to them and then, noting that I was a serving member of the UK Military, offered me a £500 discount which I gladly accepted. On the day of surgery I reported back to Harley Street having read all of the materiel and read the TrustPilot reviews. I was greeted by Nurse Ciara who immediately put me at ease, went through the process again, presented me with a small bag which contained eye drops, artificial tears, eye shields for sleeping in, Voltarol eye drops and even sleeping tablets to help me sleep that night if required. Ciara fed me chocolate and administered the numbing eye drops before accompanying me through into the Theatre where I was greeted by Professor Dan and his team. I was asked to lie down on the chair and manoeuvred into the optimum position. Professor Dan has an extremely relaxing voice, and he talked to me throughout the entire procedure, informing me what he was going to do and how I should respond, nothing came as a surprise. The eye lid was held open and a small suction cup began to lower over the exposed eye. Professor Dan asked me to focus on a small green light for about 25 seconds and then the suction cup was removed. I realised that the laser element of the surgery had completed already, the lenticule was removed and the Left eye was done in less than 3 minutes. The process was repeated on the Right eye before I was invited to sit up so that the Professor could examine the eye, place a protective contact lens in and escort me to recovery, Having suffered from two eye ulcers in the past, I was sceptical of the claims that there was no pain during surgery but I can honestly say that I felt nothing during the procedure, the numbing eye drops are extremely effective. I was worried before that I would want to blink during surgery; however, at no stage did I feel the need to, so effective were the drops. Professor Dan contacted me that evening to make sure that everything was well and I sept like a baby, with no pain as the anaesthetic eye drops wore off. The following day I returned to the clinic for Professor Reinsten to remove the protective contact lenses, confirm that the eye had already began to seal itself and verify that my eye sight was already above the legal limit for driving. As I had opted for blended vision, there is a period of time before I will realise the true benefits as the brain will need to learn how to interpolate the two images into one effective picture. My vision is not crystal clear yet, but I can read a newspaper, drive my car and watch TV without spectacles or contact lenses and it is only Day 2 post surgery. I cannot recommend the London Vision Clinic highly enough. You are not only paying for Laser Eye Surgery (which coincidentally was cheaper than the High Street retailer) but for the patient experience of knowing that you are being treated by an exceptional multi-disciplinary medical team, headed up the pioneering Professor Dan Reinstein and his world-class team of surgeons. You deserve the best, London Vision Clinic are the best – why go anywhere else?

I was very impressed with the service from the start, very professional, and with everything I needed or was likely to need provided. Very happy with the outcome!
