Jan 17,2025Our stay at AYANA Segara was wonderful. The accommodation was luxurious, and the selection of restaurants throughout the Ayana resort meant that you always had a variety of cuisines to choose from. The buildings are beautiful, the gardens luscious but the staff are by far Ayana’s best asset and management should be very proud of each and everyone one of them. We were there to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and my 70th birthday and all the staff celebrated with us in some way throughout our stay. We were constantly showered with lovely gestures like birthday cake, chocolates, flowers and cards. We received cards almost daily, most handwritten and decorated, from the Manager, restaurant staff, service staff and housekeeping and they all made us feel very special. A special thank you to the Manager, Barli, Putu and Ayu from Kerang, Novi from Luna Bar, the restaurant teams from Scusa, Sami Sami, Satia from Dava and Rio and Ditya from housekeeping. Thank you and we loved meeting you all.

Jan 16,2025I have around $1700AUD of credit with Luxury Escapes and tried to book a stay ($799AUD) at LE online today. Received a message saying I needed to call LE (they're an online travel agent - calling them I felt like I was back in the 80's). After talking with the LE support staff in Australia (friendly) and UK (quite rude and unhelpful), it appears your process for "fraud protection" requires me to provide my passport or drivers licence image to a generic support email account that I can only guess a multitude of people have access to. Obviously this isn't happening. I would like to think that Optus, Medibank and the rest of the PII breaches taught Australian companies something but it seems it hasn't taught LE a thing. LE are therefore holding my $1700 until I email them my sensitive information. I have no knowledge of, or confidence in, how LE will handle my data. There are far better ways of protecting your organisation, and your customers from fraud. The LE process currently is effectively saying "we dont trust our customers, but we expect them to trust us".

The real standout though was the enormous bathtub—it was like nothing we’ve ever seen before! We spent hours soaking and relaxing, completely immersed in the beauty of our surroundings. It was the perfect space to unwind after a day of exploring the city. One of the most thoughtful touches was the butler’s pantry, which truly elevated our experience. It was fully equipped with everything we could need—perfect for those moments when we wanted to entertain or simply enjoy a quiet meal in the privacy of our room. We were able to enjoy our weekend without a care in the world—whether we were sipping drinks by the window or simply taking in the beautiful view. The entire space was designed with our comfort in mind. The staff at The Star Grand went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Every interaction was met with warmth and professionalism making us feel completely looked after and special. Their attention to detail ensured that our stay was effortless, and we left feeling truly valued as guests. A definite must-do during your stay is the Sky Deck. As hotel guests we had direct access without the need to wait in line, which was such a treat. The views from the Sky Deck are nothing short of spectacular—it was the perfect place to take in the city skyline and surrounding beauty. And, as if all of this weren’t enough, free parking was an added bonus that made our stay even more convenient. It’s a rarity in the city and it made our time there even more stress-free. We’re already eagerly anticipating our next stay in August—we simply can’t wait to return! If you’re planning a trip to Brisbane, look no further than The Star Grand. Jan 16,2025I had booked a luxury escape and the 7 day cooling off period had finished, my family circumstances changed dramatically not long after. I spoke with Lucas S and it has been awhile since a person showed true human empathy and had not just shut me down and spoken contracts to me. Lucas S went way beyond what he should have. I would recommend Luxury Escapes to everyone if you want a 5 star holiday with 5 star customer service, I hope to re book in the future if circumstances change and would not hesitate to give Lucas’s name to people I know. I will be forever grateful for what he did at stressful time

Jan 20,2025Great location to stay when you have an early flight out of Tullamarine. Great staff, very quiet rooms and the food is wonderful especially for someone with Coeliac disease. Will certainly stay there again and highly recommend this hotel
