M247: Your technology partner for growth
I have been a contractor with a few MSPs who partner with this company. They've always had a reputation of having very poor support when there are issues. Become the butt of jokes at the companies I have worked with. Every time work at a company who has a production site in one of M247s datacentre I start to get nervous. So many times having to deal with an angry customer on our end and unable to tell them anything because M247 are down again.
NEVER NEVER NEVER sign up to these people. Some of the most dishonest people i have ever come across. emailed over and over, had multiple telephone calls with the company to terminate the contract (which was eligible for termination). Their customer service was so inefficient the contract was never terminated (their error) and i was charged for another 6 months and never got my money back. They are useless and bullies. STEER CLEAR OF ANY OF THE COMPANIES VARIATIONS: METRONET/VENUS/M247. All the same under various names.
It has now been ten days and counting since we haven’t been able to send emails to hotmail, outlook and live addresses. Quite frankly it is disgraceful that they haven’t resolved this issue in a timely manner. I rely on outgoing emails for client contact and quoting. I have tried ringing their support desk on numerous occasions and there is no reply even after long waits in excess of 20-30 minutes. This issue has happened previously and they haven’t done anything to prevent it. It has now reoccurred for the fourth time over the last couple of years. Their network status page is ridiculous as it gives no timescale as to when they will get the issue sorted. I think M247 are a not fit for purpose company. When are they going to get this fixed?
Used their lines on 20+ clients. Always fast and 99% reliable. Communications could be better, especially at install stage, but once it's in, little to no issues.
Support next to none existent. We don't get the speeds we pay for which is affecting our business (we do livestreams so as you can imagine... massive problem). We've requested support multiple times over the last 3 weeks which has led nowhere. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
M247 are absolutely brilliant at what they do! I have been working with them for nearly a year now, and I can attest to the quality of support they offer to businesses. They have been an absolute Godsend throughout the pandemic, as I'm sure many others will agree, keeping us connected and operating with speed and resiliency. They are very proactive in the approach they take to both solutions and customer support, and have offered guidance and advice before we even knew we were going to need it! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend M247 to any of my fellow business owners.
Prior to getting wireless connectivity for our business, operating was a real battle. As a creative agency, we need speed - but our connection was so poor, the team would sometimes need to go to Starbucks and jump on their Wifi! M247 revolutionised our business as the speed was so reliable, we were no longer reliant on fibre to the curb, and shared lease lines - so our productivity improved 100%. Downtime was no longer an issue and the service and guidance we got was great.
Decided to go with M247 for a 1Gbps internet connection in summer 2020. Wow. It's 1Gig UP AND DOWN. It really has revolutionised how we all work now, definitely worth the investment.
M247 have a great support team and provide quality services. Strongly recommend.
We recently had an issue where we thought we hadn't received a service. M247 completed an investigation into this which was in-depth and to the high level we require. We have now accepted the outcome of the investigation and the service has been returned to normal. Thanks for your support.
Not able to use my UC app at home which prevents me from working. IT tell me its due to M247s system being very picky over the type of internet i need for it to work. It is preventing me from doing my job which could result in my being furloughed.
Good installation but poor customer service.
I wish i had read the reviews here first as after using M247 for the last couple of years, the hosting service is stable & next to no downtime which is commendable, but if you need billing support you better hope it's not urgent. As even pre-COVID, it would take a couple of weeks. Now it takes months with what I can only assume is also a massive lack of internal comms with the responses to some of my issues. Maybe they can make things better in the future but the trust is gone for me.

M247 offer the worst hosting platform I have ever used. Our website is constantly up and down during the week with outages from 15 minutes to hours. They do zero monitoring on their hosting infrastructure and seem to rely on customers calling in to inform them of server outages. A truly atrocious service.
In July 2002 I registered a domain with Open Hosting and started a web hosting contract with them. Subsequently they were taken over by M247 and the quality of the service has improved. When I needed another domain to be hosted I had no hesitation in asking them to host it for me. I have had only one small problem with a SSL certificate that was resolved quickly by them. At home I use a good firewall and spam filters. It is interesting to examine their logs occasionally. Just to make sure that they are blocking undesirable traffic. I would only be upset if they showed that nothing had been blocked. Occasionally I do notify service providers when I encounter suspicious traffic but I never expect them to do anything unless they have reports from many different people. Equally I hope that M247 only take action if they have sufficient evidence that one of their clients is being negligent or malicious.
Poor customer service.
Good performance and very stable service. All the good they have done was unfortunately completely ruined when they made a charge mistake (not small, overcharged us £ 4000+). I could have accepted the mistake but the way it was handled was horrible: - Failed to take responsibility - Infinite numbers of follow-up (I lost count at 60+ emails and more than 30 attempted calls) - Delay in the payment even once the mistake was admitted In short, it took us 3 months to get our money back and that happened only after we escalated to the company's directors (which have been very responsive and helpful).
Quality services, great support team, solution-oriented. They provide clear and quick technical solutions tailored on any type of requirements. I strongly recommend M247!

Dec 22,2021I'm afraid that in my experience M247suffer from a lot of problems, so the consistency of their actual product is poor. Lots of disruption and lots of downtime, costing money through lost revenue, if you are an online seller.
