MISURI located in Piazza Santa Croce in Florence, is the oldest artisan shop in this district that is renowned as the site of numerous tanneries and leather goods during the 14th century. MISURI continues the activity from 1906 and today MISURI is recognized as that remaining establishment that still retains the manufacturing principles of that era dedicated to Florentine craftsmanship. The practice of vegetable tanning stands disappearing in Italy; the exception is here in Florence from MISURI where there is no shortage of beautiful vegetables bags and accessories in tanned leather. Furthermore MISURI artisans still use the gold pressing technique leaf under heated bronze tools was introduced in Italy in 1400 and personalize purchases by hand with the customer's initials. I ordered a pair of red silk lined gloves that are simply gorgeous. Additionally, I ordered a pair of black cashmere lined gloves; both are lovely soft leather.

Oct 28,2023Loved the purse I purchased recently while visiting Florence. However, when I got home and went to use it, the interior pocket lining was not stitched closed. There was a four inch opening so the contents of the pocket fell through into the purse. I’ll have to repair but it’s frustrating since I paid a lot of money for the purse. Love the purse but please make certain interior pocket linings are stitched closed before selling.

Oct 21,2023I recently visited Misuri on a Tauck tour and purchased a gold chain and horn for my grandson and some leather items. Somehow I misplaced my gift wallet, and wanted to replace it. Half way across the world, the wallet arrived safely and securely. I am so pleased with my Misuri experience, though I'd rather be in Florence at Misuri any day of the week.
