I had the misfortune of having to deal with them. It was my mistake I should have checked out the reviews. Anyway they qouted online £180 for my iPhone 6 Plus 64GB. It was in immaculate condition no scuffs, scratches or dents. A week later after several chase up emails they revised the offer down to £130 because it allegedly had scuff marks. I wasn’t having this nonsense price. They held my phone at ransom and sent me non existent Royal Mail tracking number pretending they’ve returned it. They’re a liar and a con. Avoid them at all cost. I would not even give 1 star but to write a review you have to!
How does this company make money.? Offered me £265 and then upon receipt offered me £26.50...Makes no sense as they then have to pay for postage . the only good thing good about it, was return was swift....
Please please stay away from this company as they will rip you off. The worst company I have ever had dealings with. You have been warned
see other reviews, avoid avoid avoid
If I could award zero stars I would. This company is a total nightmare to deal with. Postage label doesn't insure your phone so send at your own risk. Phone sold was in PERFECT working order and 100% FAULTLESS, received an email stating it was scuffed on the back case, this was not the case as I had photos to prove it, originally offered £265 then reduced to £225. Had no choice but to açcept offer as value had dropped elsewhere. Takes them forever to answer the phone and are a bunch of chancers, avoid at all cost and send elsewhere as it takes them a week to payout after they receive your device.
They offered me 121 quid and changed it to just over 12quid.. They then says I may have to pay for returning it... What a bunch of chancers avoid this company.. Wish I read reviews beforehand grrrrhhhh
Awful experience do not use. Had to pay £7.50 to send my phone to them as the value was £251 and their service did not cover this, when they received my phone they claimed only worth £25. My phone was 11 months old and had no scratches but they claimed screen burnout. I wonder how many other customers have been told this? I also had to pay £10 to get my phone back!!!! Do not use
AVOID! Took ages to get a phone valuation following initial offer and once finally received valuation they claimed there were issues that did not exist.
Dreadful! Had my confirmation that they received my iPhone 7 on the 30th November. After still hearing nothing I emailed to ask what was happening, in which I had this response on 4th December... I am very sorry for the delay in processing your order, we aim for devices to complete inspection within two working days from confirmation of receipt. However, we are currently experiencing a delay due to a large volume of parcels we have received. This has unfortunately extended our processing time to a minimum of four working days. If you have not received an offer email by the close of day on Thursday, please let me know and I will contact our warehouse to prioritise your device for inspection. Thursday evening comes, still heard nothing. Assuming they don’t plan on getting back to me at all and if they do they’ll have dropped my quoted price right down. This money was going to be used for some Xmas shopping but I doubt I’ll even have it back in time!! Avoid at all costs. Dreadful service. Dreadful company
Avoid by any chance.
I should have been able to tell that this site was poor when it sent me a ‘free’ postage label, but only guaranteed for value up to £50 when they offered me £133 for my phone. They then kept it 2 weeks and revised the offer to£73 due to alleged scuff marks, white screen and not genuine Apple screen - see other reviews. Took them one week to return it. Offfered £127 elsewhere. Do not use this company.
Only gave one star because I had to ! As a lot of other reviews, AVOID. Was told £120 for galaxy s7 in perfect working order with no damage at all. Took several weeks to eventually tell me it had scuff marks and screen burn on white screen, rubbish, offered £12.11 !! It was sent back promptly and worth £95 on my usual choice which I will stick with in future. Cowboys.
First off, I guess it was my fault as I didn’t read the reviews.. Oh well. Initially tried using Music Magpie but they never actually sent me any delivery labels so went to Compare My Mobile and chose MOBILECASHMATE. I was selling my iPhone X 256gb phone, less than a year old, put straight into a case when bought and never dropped. Was quoted £510, sent it off, had to chase as it was ten days after I’d received a confirmation email. Then got an email this morning offering me £398 because “Your phone has scuff marks on the housing” thanks but no thanks.
See other reviews - in my opinion i think the faults have been contrived to devalue the product - however i am not expressing this as statement of fact and merely my own personal opinion. I accepted revised offer as it was more hassle than to get phone back in god knows what kind of condition. I used a few years ago and no hassle - don't know what has changed. Avoid - plenty of competition in this market.
Got offered £179 for my iphone 7, it had a cracked screen so I got a new screen fitted put it in the box and sent it off was surprised when I got an email telling me it had above average wear and tear but more importantly it had a pressure mark on the screen and as such they could only offer me £134, I should have read and took notice of the other reviews on trust pilot, be warned
Sent my iPhone 6 (working and no cracks etc) with the expectation of receiving £75. Got an email after about 2 weeks to say ‘slight discolouration on the screen only visible on white screen, this does not meet our t’s and c’s therefore can only offer you a reduced price ’ Was expecting maybe £70 or £65.....they offered £13. Absolute joke. Luckily I asked for it back and they sent it. Received it after a week. I took it to a local place who gave me £80 for it. They said nothing was wrong with it. Wish I’d read the reviews before I sent it. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!
Send them a perfectly good phone and they will tell you its damaged in some way in order to offer you less. They pretty much hold the phone to ransom by charging you to get it back. I'm sure this company will just change its name again soon.
The worst service I’ve used so far! I was quoted a £95 price and because my phone had dents (which took them over a week to figure that out), I was given a £10 offer for my iPhone 6... now I have to pay £5 to get my phone back.
DO NOT USE !!!! AVOID Quoted £204 online and sent on Thursday next day delivery cost me £6. They received it Friday. Heard nothing for days so I called them got no answer the phone line just kept ringing. Finally got my offer email offering me £173 due to “discolouration of the loud speaker” absolute rubbish I cleaned the phone thoroughly before paging it up in layers of bubble wrap before sending so that it didn’t get damaged in transit. So I called them to ask why they offered me a lower figure and I received no answer at all from them. DO NOT USE THEM THEY ARE TIME WASTERS AND DONT COMMUNICATE WELL. IT IS NOT AT ALL PAY SAME DAY.

Dec 28,2018Initially offered a good price online for my Samsung S8, sent it to them R.M. Special Delivery so it was fully insured (cost £7.30). Took them a week to come back with a price, 25% lower, their equivalent of grade C. The phone I sent had minimal scuffs, NOT GRADE C. Rejected their offer, chased up return, no reply. On Christmas Eve I received an empty envelope from Mobile cash mate, clearly ripped at the top, should have contained my S8. Now have the nightmare of dealing with RM claims process, with no guarantee I'll be compensated for loss of phone value. Please don't have anything to do with mobilecashmate, first time I've had anything go so badly wrong, such a nightmare happening at Christmas. I'd recommend sticking with the better known mobile recycling companies, never gone wrong with them.
