Sent them my Galaxy S8 Plus, they quoted £266 then dropped it to £199 because it apparently had some scratches on the screen and scuff marks on the body. Total bs, the phone was in brilliant condition. I rejected their offer and am now waiting to get it back. I will send it to O2 instead. Just annoyed that I didn't review this before like i usually do, was in too much of a rush to get it all done. You live and learn. UPDATE: got my phone back and sent it to Envirophone got the price they quoted within a couple of days from sending it.
Sent in my Samsung s6 in vgc no visible marks etc. They quoted me 83 quid originally, waited over a week to get a response and they came back with your phone has screen discolouration on a white background??? And therefore we can only offer you £8!!!! 😂 The phone was checked over in an 02 shop prior to sending it to these crooks and was found to have no faults and they offered me £55 should have gone with them. Phone now hopefully being returned. Absolute con merchants.
Absolutely shocking, I decided to use mobile cash mate as I knew my wife’s phone had an issue with the microphone hence why it was replaced and I though it would save any hassle of using eBay as the state quick turn around. Well the evnolope arrived within 4 days I sent it a day later and it took 6 for them to telll me they had it, a further 5 days later i received a message saying it was tested and the offer was £12.34!!!! So not only did it take 15days to get a offer they also have taken the pish and not even picked up the fault that caused us to change my wife’s phone it has now been 4 days since I declined the offer and still no sign of the phone. I would advise if you want to sell your mobile phone don’t use these people they are crooks. And in fact I could of sold it on eBay with the fault listed and still made triple there offer. And had it all done in 7 days I will never use a service like this again
Do not use this company. I work in marketing and understand entirely how important online reviews can be to the success or otherwise of a business and am cursing not looking at their reviews until after I sent my phone to them. Big mistake. I sent an immaculate iPhone 7 to them and, once received, was advised that they would knock £50 off the offer price due to screen scratches. Lots of people I would assume just agree because they can't be bothered with the hassle of having to arrange alternatives but out of principle I asked for the phone to be returned (and paid another £10 for the luxury to get my own phone back). Luckily the phone was returned (and is still in immaculate condition) and has since been traded in to O2 who honoured their offer price without any issues. Please avoid. I rarely / never feel compelled to write negative reviews as I know full well how detrimental they can be to a person's business but was so cross on this occasion I didn't want anyone else to fall foul of what are clearly shady business practices. Avoid.
Took over a week to send offer and then offered far less than is reasonable. Especially when they also make you pay for shipping the item to them in the first place.
Quoted GBP133, took a week to acknowledge receipt, another 5 days to respond. Phone was locked to EE - my mistake - which brought price down, but then mythical damage etc (it wasn’t damaged) so they quoted GBP41. I declined & now need to pay to have it returned. But since they don’t answer phones, I can’t even do that. How can I get my phone back?!
Similar experience as the other customers. I was quoted £141.00 for my Samsung S7 edge. They received the phone and after about a week claimed it was suffering from screen burn, which it didn't, damaged bezel, it didn't as been in a case from new and screen scratches which were so minor you couldn't see them. Offered me £62.00 which I declined. Obviously they off very good prices on line and after they get the phone they offer a massively lower price making excuses about damage that is not there or grossly exaggerated. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Sent them a brand new phone bubble wrapped never been used, took them a whole week to get back to me and offer me £100 under original price saying phone is scratched 😡 it’s spanning new FFS. Avoid at all costs they are a cowboy outfit. Should of known from there location that it was going to be dodgy AF.
Antony 2 reviews Con Company Same experience as others. Was offered £116.10 for a iPhone 6s 16gb online. This is the email I received from them Your phone is a 6s not 6 also locked to EE and is not unlocked. Your phone has scuffs on the housing also screen lift and screen burn on the screen. Please note your item does not meet our free post terms and condition therefore a charge of £5 will need to be made. Please note that the price on line is an up to price and is subject to condition of your phone in line with our website terms and conditions and market value. It does clearly state on our website that the price is an up to price. We aim to offer a competitive market price and can confirm that we are able to pay you £13.00 Please click one the following options to progress with your order. Their was definitely no screen burn as this was a new screen fitted approx. 4 weeks ago 4th October. the only damage was some very light scratches top right hand corner on case. They are also stating I said it was a iPhone 6 and not a 6S why would I do that. They are now requesting I pay £5 to get my phone back. This is one big con. AVOID THIS COMPANY DO NOT USE
Same experience as others. Was offered £146 for a iPhone 6s 64gb online. They said the phone was covered in above avarage scratches ( which it definitely is not ) the phone was bought by me direct from apple and kept in a cover since day one! They then proceeded to offer me £80 for the device. Which of course I rejected. This is a absolute con company avoid at all cost. Awaiting the return of my phone. It took them 6 days from receiving my phone for them to send me a poor deducted offer!
Makes out they will pay you the proper money advertised then emails to try steal the phone for £80 cheaper!! Based on “condition”
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! You will regret it because they are SCAMMERS we sent off an excellent condition Samsung Galaxy S8 a few weeks ago they has offered online £251.00 then sent an email offering £188.00 a £63 drop for chips that weren’t there. We declined and demanded the phone back! They weren’t very happy and expected us to accept their ridiculous offer. Stay away from this company!!
Looks like this company WAS excellent in 2016 and since has just tried to rip people off. AVOID. NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE
The worst company you can ever go to, take ages to inspect, tell you your phone is unlocked so you have no choice but to pay £5 before they send it back, SCAMMERS!! I can’t explain how bad this company is, I think any reviews on here that have 4-5 stars are probably them trying to bring there company back around, nothing but a joke!
Worse company to send your mobile phone. DO NOT SEND YOUR MOBILE phone to mobilecashmate. They are a bunch of scammers. They will make things up in regards to your mobile (Scratch) because they don’t want to pay the full price they originally quoted. You have been WARNED.
Sold two iPhones 7 plus in good condition, was in case and screen protector whole time we had them. Gave less because of scuff and screen print, will not use them again. Used them before though two years ago, went well, but not this time.
Total rip off Phone sent was perfect, they state it has scratches Offered £150 rather than £210 DO NOT USE !
They sign for my phone Monday morning they acknowledge having my phone on Thursday following Monday endless un answered calls they finally answer to say mine is in the next batch to be inspected, Wednesday they email me to say my phone has screen burn and the offer of £56.00 for my 5s is now £0.00 and if I want it back I have to pay £5 nearly two weeks later I’ve still not received it back. Please do not use this company they are thieving muppets out to rob you my phone was in perfect working order now I’m out of pocket and and 1 month on I still don’t have a phone or money I expected for it..
Send them my iPhone X, which was in perfect condition. Took them over a week to respond, and took about 3-4 days of non-stop calling to finally get through to them. When they finally responded they claimed their were scratches on screen and back so offered me £150 less than original offer. I declined and got the phone back, absolutely no scratches on it anywhere. Complete and utter scam. Avoid at all costs. If I could leave zero stars I would. Will never use them again.
Mr Alan Fowlie
Nov 16,2018DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. Sent them my Iphone 7 plus with an online offer of £245, offer after inspection and testing came back at £183 with the comments of "pressure marks on a white display" & a few light marks on the housing. Since the day that I received the phone new it has been in a case with a screen protector on it. Cost me another £10 to get it back from them for insurance purposes which is an absolute joke as it only cost me £7 to send it to them. Promised for before 1pm Monday delivery, will wait and see what happens. I really don't have a warm feeling on this one as I don't know if it is my phone that is coming back to me and will it be packaged securely.
