Scum bag thieves, don’t sent your phone to them, if you do and they steal it, ensure you have the phone blocked with your provider so they can’t re-sell it. Their office address is supposedly 87 Bracebridge Street, Newtown, Birmingham, B6 4PJ if you want to send them some feces in the post.

Like a lot of others I wish I had looked at these reviews before I sent my phone to MobileCashMate. My conclusion is the same as others - it is a scam. They deliberately overvalue your phone - and, particularly do not provide for the real condition of the phone to be a factor in their initial offer. They simply ask if it is working. Then when they get the the phone they just knock 25% of the quoted price for alleged "scratches" - that are, definitely in my case, no more than normal wear and tear. My guess is they are manipulating people - expecting that they will just accept the price offered as that already have your phone. Steer well clear is my advice.

Just like everyone else says - absolute scammers. They revised an offer for a Google Pixel in immaculate condition from £180 down to £18 due to 'screen burn'. Yeah ok, good luck conning the next person. Edit: Music Magpie just paid me £180.50 for the same phone which mobilecashmate tried to tell me was worth £18!!

Avoid like the plague! Liars and scammers!! Send my phone off for recycling, I was offered £110 online however once they inspected the phone it was reduced to £44.25. This was because the screen was scratched, case had worn marks and device was locked to a network. Device was not unlocked and the phone was eventually returned to me. I have inspected the phone it is unlocked to any network, the screen isn’t scratched and there are no wear marks on the casing!! I have now sent to a more reputable company but I have lost value in the phone because of the delaying tactics of this cowboy company!!

If it were possible to give 0 I would. Avoid these cowboys at all costs. I was given a quote of around £150 for Samsung in mint condition (it had been protected from day 1). Sent it off Special Delivery and they came back with an offer of £15 as they claimed case was scuffed and there was screen burn. I told them where to put their offer and demanded the phone back in same condition it was sent. I had taken photos prior to despatch and made them aware. Got phone back still in mint condition. I have since sent phone to O2 recycling (my usual recycle choice) who due to time lapse offered me £130. They have received phone and paid that amount into my bank. Trading Standards need to get on this Companies case as they are the biggest con artists currently on the Web.

Like everybody else I got a good quote - £95 and sent them a phone that was in PERFECT condition. No scratches front or back due to being in a case for most of its life. I got a standard response "Your phone has scuff marks on the housing also light scratches on the screen". A cut and paste job, standard for everyone and completely untrue. Result = we will offer you a very competitive price (not) of £71.33. Now I have to pay £5 to get my phone back!! It had better be in good order when (if) it arrives AND and extra £10 if you want it insured for its true value. Wish I'd checked out this site in advance. Stupid me. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS, THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.

ABSOLUTELY DISGRACFUL AND VILE COMPANY! DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! Was offered £310 for what their company would describe as a used device I.e not brand new and not broken with minor cosmetic damage. My device did not have any cosmetic damage and worked perfectly but still that’s the category it fit into so that’s the one I used to obtain my quotation price. My phone was also locked to Tesco which I selected the option for and still my quotation price remained at £310...so I sent the phone to them. They ‘analysed’ the phone and determined that the price they would give me was £166, approx half of the original offer. This was due to my phone having in their words.....’marks on the housing’ (It does not have any marks on the housing and even if it did this should have been accepted in the original quotation as the minor cosmetic damage they report to accept as a ‘used’ not brand new or not working device) They also stated that the device was locked to O2 (This is also incorrect as the device was locked to Tesco which I disclosed during the initial evaluation and which did not change the quoted price of £310) I will be submitting a complaint to trading standards. I have sold numerous devices to other competent company’s in the past for the price they quoted with no problems at all. THE SOONER THIS COMPANY IS OUT OF BUSINESS THE BETTER.

Sent my Samsung Galaxy S6 off having been quote £81. About 2 weeks later they finally admit they have my phone in the testing centre, nearly a week later they claim there is a bubble on the screen and offer my £8! - nothing wrong with my phone at all, got it returned. Don't waste your time with these cowboys!

Worst experience ever! If I’d have read the reviews before sending my phone, I wouldn’t have bothered with them. Mobile cash mate quoted £140 for my phone on a comparison site. My iPhone 6 was in immaculate condition, but when they received it and EVENTUALLY contacted me 4 weeks later, they told me there were scratches on the surface, scuffs on the back, and the phone was not unlocked. They re-valued it at around £40. They were impossible to get hold of. Sometimes the phone would just ring out, and after several attempts of getting through, I arranged for my phone to be sent back to me. Posted it out to music magpie a few days later and was paid within 2 days- £114. MOBILE CASH MATE ARE A JOKE!

Their online offer was 90 quid which dropped to 25 quid once they received my phone. Apparently my phone, that had never been used without a case or glass screen protector, was scuffed and had screen burn. They assured me they offered the best market prices but I turned their revised offer down and had my phone returned. I subsequently sold it on a more reputable site for 90 quid. Absolute cowboys. Avoid!

Total garbage. They offered me the highest amount for my Samsung Galaxy S7 (£168), and I expected their offer to be reduced slightly as it had a little chip at the edge, but otherwise was fully functional and in great condition. 3 days after having received my handset, they offered me just £17! They claimed the screen had 'air bubbles' which is completely false. It took 10 days, 2 emails and a phone call before I got my handset back. This site is a total scam and should be avoided at all costs!
