Avoid this awful company like the plague ,my phone was in exceptional condition .Only a Samsung S5 but always in a rubber case and a good screen cover. They offered £ 42 but then said it windscreen burn and the waterproof charge cover was paint faded, of course it was ,it had been opened thousands of times. They revised their offer to £ 3.90 pence and was charging me £ 5 to return it. RIP OFF MERCHANTS, AVOID AVOID AVOID .Brian from Hull.

Wouldn’t even give them a star. Appalling service!! Sent my iPhone X a week ago and still haven’t received an update called the company yesterday who claimed it would be sorted by this morning!! I’m still waiting! I’m absolutely furious as I could of sold the phone privately for more than what they offered but thought this qwouls be a quicker service. I normally read reviews of companies but failed to do so on this occasion MY mistake NEVER again

MobileCashMate offered me the highest price available based on a comparison site for my iPhone 7. Unfortunately all I saw was dollar signs and sent it off straight away before reading reviews... big mistake. I was offered £246.10 online only to receive an email 5 days later that I was only being offered £143. According to the email "Your phone has more than average wear and tear around the housing". This is a SCAM. My iPhone 7 is in perfect condition (I can't emphasize this enough), it has always been in a case, with a screen cover and I've looked after it very well. There are no marks on my phone screen or on the housing and it functions perfectly. I honestly expected them to rough it up and damage it when they returned it. I feel for people who have no option but to accept their pathetic offers because they need the cash desperately, it's exploitation and really sad. Do not use them, you will 100% regret it just like I did.

I wish I had read reviews before I used their service. They give you a positive quote then reduce it to 10% of the original offer.

I wish I had read the reviews before I sent my phone to them!! Upon receiving my phone I was quoted £100 less than original offer due to scratches on screen and scuff marks on bezel.Luckily I had taken pictures to prove this wasn't true as it was in excellent condition. I used extra bubble wrap to send it to them as the piece included would not have protected my phone. I have just received from O2 the amount that I was originally quoted by mobilecashmate. Do not use this company they are trying to scam you. I wouldn't even use 1 star to rate them but had to for this review

I found this firm via a comparison site, and wish i'd read up on them before using them. Offered me "up to" £155 for my phone, and then when I sent it off (special delivery as recommended) received an e-mail saying it had 'scuff marks on the home button' (there isn't a home button on the phone) and 'screen burn' (there isn't) so they could only offer me £16.50! On rejecting this offer, I had an e-mail saying they would return the phone but that they recommend doing so via special delivery for which they charge £10. Which is more than it cost me to send it to them special delivery. An absolutely nonsense of a company, avoid at all costs.

Do not use this company. I too have had a rubbish experience with these people - offered £275 for my iphone 7 then revised to £160 because of light scratches and screen burn - it had a new screen fitted a week before i sent it! And then I had to pay £5 for them to send it back. Appalling company!!!!!

Do not use this company. I was offered up to £160 for my google pixel. I paid £8.50 to send it off and couple of days later got an email to say my phone had light scratches and screen burn. Phone was only 4 months old and did have some very small scratches but not screen burn. They offered me £16! Bit of a difference. I declined and received my phone back after a few days later. Went on to sell my phone to Mazuma mobile with no problems whatsoever.

My my! I can only laugh at myself now. If you are reading this, you have more sense than the rest of us. Looking at the reviews it’s pretty much the same for all, basically this is how it works: They quote you a great price, send you a pack, you send your phone, THEN ONCE THEY RECEIVE IT THEY WILL OFFER YOU MORE OR LESS HALF OF WHAT WAS QUOTED, stating it has scratches cracks and what not(mine had none) So even if only every third person decides not to go with the hassle of getting the phone back, they have made good business. Iphone 7 one year old, £270 quoted 160 offered. Silly old me. Avoid.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I sent a brand new iPhone X which was still in the plastic wrapping in perfect condition. They have responded that my phone is scuffed and knocked nearly £90 of the quoted price. They scuffed my phone and are an absolute scam of a company. The customer service is appalling especially by one representative called Linda who called me a liar over the phone. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I wish I had read the reviews before I sent the phone off. I have asked for this to be returned as getting no where with complaining as they seem to be used to damaging people’s phones and scamming them.

Absolutely appalling service. Sent a phone, they said never arrived, well the package did but not the contents. They then said they would dispute with Royal Mail and respond. This was over a year ago. I email constantly and now they don't even reply to my emails. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER. They are crooks, appalling service to boot.

76£ quoted for my old Sony z5. It was immaculate. No scratches, chips etc. Sent it to them and they messaged me there is screen burn and a chip on the edge of the casing! There was nothing wrong with it. The shocking thing is, they then offered me £7.50 for it, yes £7.50!! I said send it back. It has arrived and is okay with no chips or screen burn!

Do not use this company. They change the offer once they have your phone. I traded an iPhone 8 plus and was offered £506 on the web. Once they had my phone they offered £380 and said it had a scuff on the housing. The phone was immaculate. I phoned them to find out why they had offered a low amount and they resent another offer for £430. Still £76 below the website offer. I end up spending £7 to send it and £10 for them to send it back to me via special delivery. I am only given 2☆ as they managed to send my phone back in one peice on the Friday afternoon and was received on the Saturday morning. I have since sent my phone to another company and they have paid the full £506 for my phone. Stay well clear of this company.

Shoddy company, I'd avoid at all costs from now on. Please read others reviews and don't make the same mistake I did. Long story short I upgraded my Samsung galaxy s7 to an s9 recently and decided to sell my s7. Wanting to avoid eBay I went on comparison website to see what I could expect, mobile cash mate was the best deal offering £170 for my phone. So I packed it up sent it tracked. The phone as stated was in perfect working order with very little to no wear and tear although it did have a couple of scratches on the front screen these however didn't affect the phone and were noticeable only if you were up close and the phone off. I then received an email after they received the phone saying there were deep scratches on the screen and bezel and pressure marks and they could only offer me £16. They offer high to get the phone then find non existent damage to bring it down to a ridiculous amount. I declined the offer and asked for my phone back, 2 weeks later it arrived and the screen is scratched to death. Embedded scratches and dents that weren't there before. I have complained and plan to take it further. Avoid like the plague. Totally a scam.
