Nothing but a bunch of scammers. Originally offered me 450 for an iPhone 8 Plus 64GB and I sent mine to them in perfect condition via Special Delivery. They took over a week to 'process' it, then sent me back an offer for 300 due to 'scratches on the screen' when the phone had been in a case its entire life. If i hadn't read my email for 24 hours they'd have got away with it too. Total joke of a company, AVOID at all costs.
AVOID!!!!!! I have sent my iPhone 6plus that I had in a case since day one no scratches nothing! Sent my iPhone which I paid £7 by Royal Mail tracked and signed The phone was given a quote of £ 128 - went to £38 so I said no and I wanted my phone back had to pay another £10 to get it back! Very difficult to get a replay phone kept ringing with no answer Decided to do Apple recycling instead I would avoid this company has others companies under cash mobile
Shocking. “Offered” £556 online, they came back with an offer of £55!! Absolutely laughable, avoid.
Do not use this company as ripping customers off. They offered £550 for my iphone 8 Plus 256 and after lots of chasing, came back with an offer nearly £200 less. Like many, I am sure, i nearly early accepted the offer as extra hassle to get back and resell, but it is the principle that means I won't give this company a penny.
Awful company, took ages to process the order then knocked off 25% of the original value due to 'damages'. When recycling phones surely they expect phones with a little minuscule wear?? The iphone 7 I recycle had been in an original apple case for the year of its life and was in immaculate condition. Terrible sales techniques which is pissing customers off - just look at the reviews. Went to Mazuma and although slightly less, they didnt knock a penny and turned the whole thing around in a day.
Really annoyed with myself for not reviewing this company before I sent my iphone 6. I posted my phone to them on Monday 17th Sept, I received an email from them on Friday 21st Sept to say they had received my phone, so far so good. I hadn't heard from them since then, so I thought I would give them a call. The phone did ring out for a long time, but then it was finally answered, I spoke to a lady who confirmed that my phone was next in line to be checked & that they would contact me again this afternoon. Originally they quoted me £105, they have come back with a price of £33, what a joke. They claim it has scuff marks on the housing & that there is screen burn, this is a complete lie, since I've had this phone it has always had a screen protector & case. I have obviously rejected their offer. I just hope I get my phone back. AVOID AVOID AVOID this company, they are total rip off merchants.
Reduced offer on iPhone X by £150! Wish id read other reviews on here before I'd sent my phone. Offered £556 originally which was reduced to £410 do to marks on the casing which is total rubbish as its been in a protective case since day 1!!!!
Sent in an immaculate iPhone X 256gb in mint condition. Phone has been kept in casing and glass screen protectors since day 1. Having not heard anything for over a week I received an email this morning confirming the phone had been tested and “has scuff marks to the housing” and the offer has now been dropped by over £150. Phone line constantly engaged and no response to emails either. Avoid!
Shower of crooks! I think compare and recycle and mobile cash mate are the same company!! £300 for iPhone 7 Plus dropped to £200 after ‘testing!!’ They say screen scratches and scuffing on housing!! Funny since it’s been completely covered front and back from new. Interesting that the price has dropped on website since posting off phone! Never again!
This is by far the most dishonest mobile phone buyer I have come across, as by previous reviews I should have known better than be drawn in by the higher valuation, to be chipped by £150 due to light scratches is disgusting. I would like to know if anybody has ever received their quoted value. They had the phone for a week and only after chasing emails did I get my updated value. Avoid this Scammer at all costs. And also the lack of someone from the company trying to respond to all this dissatisfied customers shows either everyone is correct or they don’t care!
I am really worried now, i have read these reviews, i wish i had seen this before i sent my iphone X it was immaculate, i had it wrapped from day 1, so there wasnt even a finger print on it. Now all i have had is a email saying theyare looking at it, does anyone have a number to call them the one i have is 01213258504 and its constantly engaged. The price has dropped dramatically now since the new phone has come out and im just worried they will keep my phone, i have tracking for it as i sent it by special delivery. If they return my phone what condition will it be in.
I sent them my iphone x which was in good working condtion after getting quoted price of £556. They received my device, tested it and they transfered the agreed money to my account. The only issue is they take a long time to process the orders. I sent the phone on friday evening and they paid me Thursday the following week. Also their phone line keeps on saying busy all time. Getting through is a chance but the staff are nice. Think i spoke to a lady caĺled linda who was fab. I recommed mobile cash mate
STAY AWAY from this company if you don't want to be disappointed. I've sent my phone to them and never got money for it. Asked them to try to track it in their system using IMEI but not willing to help. STAY AWAY!!!
I wish I had read these reviews before I sent them my iPhone X a couple of weeks ago and have heard nothing since then . It is in top condition and I need the money to put towards a new iPhone arriving next week. Small chance of that happening I guess. If everyone who has had an experience like me were to get together and start a joint legal process to reclaim their money it would need someone with some experience in this type of action to come forward.
Avoid like the plague, this company are a bunch of con artists. The offer you get will not be the final offer once they receive their phone to their warehouse in Birmingham
Sent in my Galaxy S7 Edge with a quote of £162. When I got an offer it was for £16 stating my phone was damaged with a crack and screen bleed. Luckily I took photos prior to sending it to them. After rejecting the quote they sent my phone back and this one did have a crack but no screen bleed. Surprise surprise when checking the IMEI it's not my phone they sent back. I'm now locked in arguments with them and don't intend to leave it. Please I must stress AVOID using this company. Less risk on Shock or Facebook and you'll get more!
*****AVOID*****AVOID*****AVOID***** Claimed my iphone 7 had scratches and burn to the screen.....the screen was brand new and was replaced two days before sending the phone to them. Offered me a fraction of the price listed on the comparison site. Reviews state if you ask for your phone to be returned, it wont come back in the same condition. Appalling company
Damn I wish I had read these reviews before sending my Google Pixel XL to the bandits that are Mobile Cash Mate. Using the Compare and Recycle website I was quoted £189 for my device so I made my order. After receiving the packaging and everything I sent it off and duly received an email saying it had arrived (I paid for Special Delivery). It took almost a week for Mobile Cash Mate to assess my device, when they did I received an email claiming that the device had Screenburn and Scuffs to the housing...….when I sent the phone to them it was in PERFECT condition with the exception of a few tiny scratches on the housing that you had to look hard to see (definitely within anyones fair wear and tear guidelines) and definitely no screenburn (suggest Mobile Cash Mate Google Screenburn so that they actually understand what it is and how it is caused and how it is very unlikely that a phone of less than 2 years old will have screenburn!!!). As a result of this they offered my just £18.90, seems like they have used this tactic with pretty much everyone on here and when you reject the price there is a sorry attempt to persuade you otherwise and that they pay the best price!!! Anyway with the next bit I guess I was lucky in that my device was returned to me in the same condition that I had sent it in, I was worried that they may send back another device but luckily I had kept the box and was able to cross check the IMEI number. I have now taken my phone to O2 who will recycle it in store where you get an initial inspection before they quote the price. I have been quoted £160 so they have sent it off and I should see the money soon. In a nutshell DO NOT USE this lot, they want you to accept the re-assessed price and I would bet that they then send the phone to another recycling company and get what they are worth or simply sell them on to unsuspecting consumers
Dreadful , awful , crap , misleading company , False , Offers you a great cost but read the reviews .. shocking I sent my IPhone X to them and god I wish I didn’t they had my phone for 72 hours and I wanted it back having to pay £10 to get it back to me .. They said they got my phone but testing wouldn’t be done until they decide and couldn’t give me a date . So I asked for my phone to be returned .. DONT SEND YOUR PHONE AWFUL COMPANY TO DEAL WITH AND ALWAYS LINES ARE BUSY AND RUDE STAFF ... MICKEY MOUSE OF A COMPANY AND ALSO LOOKS LIKE THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN SPREAD THE WORD DONT SEND ..

Oct 05,2018LYING DISHONEST COMPANY! Avoid! Regret not looking at these reviews beforehand. They took over 7 days to give me their offer and then lied saying it was scratched and had a burn on the screen! The phone had been kept in a heavy duty case since the day I received it! My advice is to sell privately on Facebay or something similar. Have sold some phones in the past to recycling companies but never had such a blatant attempt to rip me off. Look forward to receiving my phone back to me asap.
