Not sure if it was blatant forgery or a sneaky iPad invoice trick, but my "signature" on the bill locked me into a $500+ charge for 15 minutes of work—way more than the work order I signed. VISA wouldn’t budge. Now I’m on a mission to expose this scam. Don’t trust those fake reviews—Mr. Rooter Kamloops is a ripoff, no chance they’re highly rated!
I would give a zero if possible. Horrible Company! DO NOT USE! Way Over charged for repair of water in my basement. $6000. Said there was a break in the cast iron pipe under my laundry room floor. Sent an apprentice plumber who didn't know what he was doing. Pipes didn't even line up after he was done. Tried to tell him how to adjust it but wouldn't listen & caused 2 additional leaks. Here 12 hrs. Had to send out a journeyman plumber to FIX it all. Another 12 hrs. After concrete dried they sent another 'plumber' to reset the toilet, but when the journeyman came to fix the 2 leaks they caused, found that the bolts were not even attached to the flange. So another 3 hrs 8:13pm to 11:50 at night to fix again. Such a waste of my time. After all this I still had the original problem. So he looked at the cleanout outside the house & saw water. Sent a camera man out, found & cleared what they called a "soft clog" out by my sidewalk. Then, lo & behold that was my only problem!! Very unethical & unreliable. Incompetence of both office & workers. Didn't return calls. Kept getting schedules mixed up. Failed on every level. Will tell you all kinds of things that are wrong just to make money. WOW a lot of negative reviews on YELP, Trustpilot and Birdeye. Should have looked further because don't know how their site shows better ratings. Consumer Beware! It was an awful experience all around.
He did a good job!
Well I don’t use google or facebook. Would like to say that Reyes and Jordan in Albuquerque provided excellent and prompt service today to unclog a plugged drain line we have been struggling with for weeks. Made time the same day we called, were clear on what it would cost, finished the job successfully, cleaned up and told us it was guaranteed for 30 days. Perfect.
employee attended leak and stated they needed authorization. I obtained authorization for next day to fix leak. Next day they decided I need additional authorization before starting work. Why not just refuse the job on the first day? Now I have wasted days finding a plumber and could have been scheduled with another plumber. Waste of time!
If I could put zero stars I would. They came out to repair a leak. Which they said they did. Fast forward 3 weeks after the renovation including new subfloor, tile, and drywall from a great Reno company I went to clean the dust out of my shower from the tile work etc. The water is still leaking through the floor down into the first floor like nothing was fixed. THOUSANDS of dollars and WEEKS of my life were wasted on their incompetence. Work is going to have to be re-done and they may have put more damage into my house. "Customer Service" is a joke. They don't have anyone available to come look at it. I honestly don't want them to touch anything else, but I don't know if my insurance will be willing to let me switch plumbers since it is after hours. Would and will not recommend to anyone. STAY AWAY.
Adam was early and fully prepared. I appreciated that he had a 10-year plumbing history on this home. He quickly accessed this issue, identified the price, and completed the job. He also made a suggestion of some longer tern solutions. Well done, Adam.
We had a plumbing emergency that Mr. Rooter took care of in the promised timeline. Beverly was very friendly and helpful with dispatch. The follow up repair turned out to be a nightmare because of our home insurance AHS, but Mr. Rooter pulled through again, came promptly and fixed the problem and finished the job to our absolute satisfaction. Dustin and his crew - Taylor and Austin - were super courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you guys, you saved the day. We will use Mr. Rooter again if needed. Chris
I would give them 0 stars if I could. Shoddy work...we had a dishwasher install, and 2 bath shower faucet replacements. The screws connecting the brand new dishwasher to the countertop stripped out day one...so now it comes right out of the cabinet opening. The upstairs tub faucet is loose and overturns - brand new from Lowes. The downstairs faucet was installed OK, but they left a larger than before service hole in my drywall. They told my wife...we don't do that and don't have a cover in the truck, she called me and I told her that there was shelf wood that they could use.... they put two screws in and it fell out two days later. I fixed that myself. I also put screws in the dishwasher bracket to keep it from coming out, but it was installed crooked to begin with, it seems to be working correctly, but time will tell. Don't let these folks near your plumbing. Worst part, this cost 2 grand!
Andy Jacoby came to my 1930 house to deal with a suspicious noise I thought might be a leak, and not only did he find it but he also pointed out several other issues with the home that might have resulted in the pipe freezing in the first place, and did manage to fix the pipe in what was originally a diagnostic call.
I hired them to fix a clogged toilet. $360 later it's still was not resolved. They came back out and installed a trap for $790 which they did not install correctly and did not solve the problem. They came back ran the camera second time and said they would have to go underneath the home and replace all the pipes for $10,000 and would refund me the other two trips that were worthless. I had another contractor come out and do the complete work for $1,220. They refused to refund any of the previous payments
My basement flooded. The technician Todd was on time and extremely professional. I've hired other companies in the past, but Mr. Rooter is the only one I trust going forward.
Jan 28 2025 BEWARE !! Mr Rooter charged $814.00 to install $99.00 kitchen faucet. Their crooks , they don't give invoice upfront so you don't know detailed prices. They don't have hourly labor prices they have flat rate price so you have no idea what the charge will be. I had to stop payment on the check to get them to negotiate a new contract, refunded $700.00. I should have taken them to small claims court, it still cost me $1800.00 for plastic trap work. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE !!! office in Independence Ohio.
I had to get my 83 year old mother kitchen faucet replaced yesterday and had my sister call Mr. Rooter Plumbing of St. Charles, MO. They charged $649.25 to install a faucet for less than 2 hours work!!. This repair had to be done and I feel they price gouged and overcharged us ($371 to install customer supplied faucet and $278.25 to install new dual shutoff value that I'm sure only cost no more than $25 for part alone at a Home Depot! Doubtful I will ever use their service again epecially after warranty expired. Invoice #148636498 This is a $200-$300 repair/replacement at best, NOT $649!!! Think twice because you decide to use them. This is ridiculous. The repairman was only duing his job, so nothing against him but this is a ripoff, especially for elderly folks who have no other alternatives.
Very expensive. $325 is their minimum fee even if the job only takes an hour. Their work quality is good, but $325 an hour?
This past summer my toilet kept running because the fill valve needed to be replaced given the flapper was old and no longer sitting flat. I had also wanted them to disconnect my showerhead and put another one on, and replace the hose running from the toilet to the water valve. In the end, the cost of the fill valve and the small hose, and the time to replace them my bill came to $1,300! They said it would be extra for them to unscrew the shower head and put another one on. I was going to replace the fill valve and unscrew the shower head myself but because of my severe back issues, I was unable to bend over the tank nor reach up to unscrew the shower head. The replacement valve that they put in, which looked similar to a plastic red and black fill valve we'd buy at Canadian Tire, was allegedly "the best fill valve on the market", and as such cost me multiple hundreds of dollars. The bill did not show any breakdown of product prices nor did it show hourly labour rates. Further, I presented my status card which entitled me to a tax rebate of the provincial portion of the HST, under section 87 of the Indian Act (Canada). After 2 trips to the van to call his boss they denied the use of this card. All-in-all I am an older disabled single woman who was ripe to be taken advantage of by Mr. Rooter. I'm not sure how the young man who provided this service was able to look me in the face and present the bill.
Contacted Mr. Rooter for a simple water line leak repair, price quoted $560. Called another plumbing service and job was completed for $150.
Great job done by Bill and crew. Complete water and sewer. Appreciate the effort and expertise. Front office ladies were great and knowledgeable to deal with as well. Highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.
Excellent service from James K and Greg. They were very knowledgeable and knew right away what the issue was and fixed it. They are both very experienced. I would recommend them both. And Marie L the representative that handles the appointments is excellent in communicating to the customers regarding the appointments.

Apr 19,2025I was hopeful going into this appointment. I scheduled service for Friday, April 18, between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM and cleared my calendar to be available. That morning, I received several calls starting around 8:00 AM asking if I could take an earlier appointment — I wasn’t available, so I didn’t answer. I assumed they’d still come during the scheduled window. When I hadn’t heard anything by early afternoon, I ended up calling to check in — only to find out the appointment had been canceled without my knowledge. Later, two technicians were sent out anyway and arrived last minute, around 2:30 PM, staying until nearly 5:00 PM. This disrupted my workday and caused a lot of unnecessary stress. They completed the work — unclogging my bathroom sink and installing a lavatory faucet — but the final cost was $1,100, which felt excessive for the services provided. On top of that, they called my workplace without my permission, which crossed a line for me. The technicians themselves were courteous and efficient, but the lack of communication, the scheduling confusion, and the high price made this a frustrating experience. I hope the company takes this kind of feedback seriously to improve how they handle appointments and customer communication.
