Aug 25,2023Daniel C- taught our son English in Yr 11 when he was low in confidence in both Language and Literature. Daniel was very passionate about his subject and this really inspired our son. Daniel was always prepared for lessons and developed a great rapport with our son who went on to do very well in his GCSE English Lang and Lit.

Aug 25,2023What a wonderful find! Thank goodness for Mytutor and their incredibly dedicated tutors. Just the right age gap to engage youngsters as these tutors are generally studying towards their degrees or Masters. Our son's Geography tutor Eve deserves a special mention as she basically taught him the Geography KS3 and KS4 syllabus in an hour a week over the last 18 mths and he has just received a grade 6 (B). Background - Our son found the transition from a small village primary to a much larger secondary school in the nearest town really difficult. We saw our confident son who loved sitting his KS2 SATs becoming a withdrawn and anxious boy who was involuntarily throwing up on the school bus in the morning :-(. After 6 months of increasing anxiety, and pressure from school, threatening our son that his parents would face a prison sentence if he didn't attend school (Not helpful!) we withdrew him from school. I have been a teacher in a secondary school for 25 years, including senior management. I believed homeschooling would be an easy task. How wrong was I. Teaching your own children is a whole different ball game. Then I found MyTutor. My son and I selected a few tutors we wished to speak to and had a free 15 minutes with them and then decided on a 'best fit'. We found a perfect fit in Eve for GCSE Geography. Eve taught our son the entire GCSE syllabus in over 18 mths 1 hour/week with 3hrs/wk from Easter this year. What we hadn't accounted for was the strict stipulations of the exam boards with field trips for Geography but Eve worked with me, and last September changed from GCSE to IGCSE, a whole different syllabus. Eve guided us through the field trips we needed to carry out and nurtured Arch through his exams. He got a 6 (B) and was 1 mark off an 7(A). Grateful for her efforts isn't the praise enough. Thank you Eve, you are an amazing person and tutor and should defo consider teaching!!! Much love xx

He does not move on until i am confident this is something we don't get at school. Thanks Folahan for being amazing!

The model is faultless, great customer service, fantastic tutors and a safe, efficient, user friendly environment to communicate and teach. My son got on really well with his tutor and really connected with his tutor as he was young. I cannot recommend this company enough. Without them my son would not have got his maths GCSE.

Aug 24,2023My daughter had Daisy as a tutor and she was amazing. I cannot thank her enough for all the support and help she gave Freya. Freya really struggled with Physics and Chemistry and went from a 3, to achieving a 5 at GCSE. FReya would never have achieved this without the support and tutoring provided. She has really reached her potential. My tutor is straightforward and user friendly when managing bookings and payments. There is great flexibility and brilliant communication for both the student and parent. I couldn’t recommend my tutor enough.

Aug 24,2023Our tutor Jess gave my child confidence in French and this resulted in her getting the highest score you can get for GCSEs! Aside from the grade impact, more importantly Jess really made my child love the subject even more and she will continue studying this at A Level and beyond

Aug 24,2023Always easy to search for a subject tutor you are interested in, as well as matching the tutor to your set budget. I enjoy feedback from the tutor directly afte every lesson and a brief overview what the lesson covered and how my daughter responded to the challenges set. I can only recommend it. Easy to pay for lessons but also canceling the lesson or rescheduling is possible if necessary.
