Disappointed and let down over the years they have been our factor. Lots of talk at past meetings between the Property Managers and property owners. No minutes recorded at these. Poor communication, unsatisfactory work carried out, no follow-up of services given, no solutions to resolve issues from them, inaccurate billing on numerous occasions. Owners feel ignored. A questionnaire sent to owners closes before many get time to complete it. These are some reasons why the owners are now looking at replacing Newton with another factor. G20 0PR
As a cleaning contractor, we have been carrying out works on behalf of Newton Property Management for several years. From a contractors perspective dealing with a factoring company, we always hope for good clear responsive communication, and to be paid correctly and on time. In this regard, Newton's have always been great to deal with. Sharon and Natalie in particular who we deal with regularly, have always been extremely pleasant and helpful over the years. I would strongly recommend their services.
Good communication and excellent customer service
John went out his way to help the commercial unit in the Herald building find the leaking property (ours) and assisted the tenant to switch off the water tank and was able to help me get a supplier when my original one had let me down .
Had issues with the lift.. The contractors promised and failed and communication was bad.. My wife and I are elderly now, and the lift being out if order was horrendous... John Hempstead, then stepped in, and within 24 hours had the issue resolved. Even although John was on annual leave, he battled and kept on to the contractors, until they got the issue resolved... Jack, who is John's assistant, also stepped up to the mark, and also kept on to the contractors until it was resolved.. So in an environment where factors and property managers are consistently under the cosh, john Hempstead and his assistant Jack, pulled out every stop, to resolve everything, even although it was the last working of Xmas.... So thank you guys, you made Xmas a lot better for us with your strenuous efforts to resolve a very difficult situation.. Well done.. Robert draper.. Glasgow harbour development..
Absolutely horrendous service from Newton Property Factor. Currently losing our tenants over Newtons lack of effort to try and resolve a water ingress issue for our flats building which is ultimately down to them. They take weeks to respond and when they do they never have a solution. We, and the rest of the tenants within the flat building pay a huge amount per month to Newton and I really question where this money goes! I will most certainly be taking their horrendous service to the news and currently seeking legal action. Avoid this company at all costs!

Lovely experience today phoned newtons today as our new factor . Lovely Abby took the call very professional , friendly and helpful what a difference from our previous factor felt listened to. I then spoke to Fraser who made me feel heard and reassured me . JF
This company is a joke, we only get bill twice a year, can't even send a bill on time, still waiting 1 month on, to get bill.do they not want paid for there services, pure discrace we have to chase them.

NPM claim transparency and promise no kickbacks or commission. Read the very small print. They charge 30% commission on insurance on top of a monthly fee for managing the property the property Insurance in a small flat is more than double a two bedroom house in a similar area. Other
I deal with Rachel Craig at Newton Property and she is very efficient and friendly to deal with. Rachel always answers back and always deals with all requests promptly. I feel when I deal with Rachel she always tries her best.
I contacted Newton Property Management with a small complaint about my invoice. It was quickly acknowledged and resolved by Tamur. I also received official written confirmation in the same afternoon.
Enquiries and requests have been dealt with efficiently. A few dealings regarding issues at the property (all resolved). But I have to give special credit to Laurent Chanas in accounts since he is particularly professional and helpful and represents the organisation well.
We managed to move from Newton in June after 5yrs and 5 different property managers. The last property manager (John Hempstead) gave a first class service, but was fighting against all that had gone before but the situation had by then become terminal. A previous manager had been hostile and off-hand to the wishes of the owners (and Residents Committee) and did not deal with emails in a satisfactory manner. Newon made promises they did not keep (restitution after a botched job) and in my opinion did temporary repairs rather than a definitive job whenever possible. Their communication was unsatisfactory and they were slow to deal with urgent problems (water leaks) which has let to an increase in insurance premiums.
