I sent an email to Newton Property back on the 11th of July this year enquiring about some building enhancements that were signed off for back in 2019. I figured since there was no movement I would contact them to get an update if it was still being performed. I heard back a week later confirming that this would be looked into, and now 2 months later I've heard absolutely no updates what so ever. Newton, I hope eventually you can reply to emails as routinely as you send invoices.
We have a parking space that has a ground subsidence. I arranged with my factor representative to fix this but the engineers never came, this happened twice. This is OK things happen but then my representative started to ignore me after the second time, calls to him was he was away, emails unanswered. It has been months since I reported this and it is still not fixed. Still need to pay these people for the service.
Linda Thomson of Newton Properties is professional, efficient and effective. When there was an issue with a leak from the flat above Linda was the only person we felt actually cared and was extremely proactive in dealing with the problem. I can not praise her enough.
I have now watched my son wait 3 years to get this company to act to resolve a damp problem relating to required roof repairs. At present after multiple emails and broken promises nothing has been done making both his flat - and incidentally all flats- in his development unsellable. Newton have failed to get required quotes for the repairs and make any contact with property owners. Looks like the next step might have to be legal action?
My property manager at Newton Property Management is Linda Thomson. I have dealt with a lot of property management companies and property managers, and Linda is by far the best. She is very efficient and nothing is too much trouble for her. She always gets back to you with an update instead of you needing to follow-up with her. She has changed my opinion of property management companies. Linda is also just a really nice person to deal with, very friendly and approachable.
Our association appointed Newton inNovember 2022 after having a very poor experience with our previous factor. Since they took over the management, they have been very responsive. Our current Manager, Murray Manson is proactive and very helpful which is very refreshing after our previous factor experiences.
I found Michael very clear and concise in answering my query. He then followed it up with an email which he didn't need to do. It was a pleasure in dealing with him.
Michael responded quickly to my query about adjusting our direct debit and was very helpful in resolving it. I have contacted him several times over different issues and he is always helpful and courteous.
I've had to contact Newton Property Glasgow on a couple of occasions recently about the building in general and spoken to Michael Mullan.The problems have been dealt with quickly and efficiently on these occasions and am very happy with the service provided by them.
Where to start since Newton have been in charge our property factors bill has risen nearly 10x the price. We use to pay £40 per quarter now our bill is £351. Tried to double charge on electricity bill this quarter which at the beginning of last year was £1.33 now £171? Buliding's insurance at £80 pound per quarter? 30% bonus to Newton for our contract? Grounds maintenance 541.53? Between 24 flats 159 for a lock repair? 51.62 for cleaning? Feel like I am being ripped off.
In our time owning a flat that was factored by Newton, there were numerous occasions when we required assistance and John H. never disappointed. He was professional, responsive, helpful and never let us down when we needed help or guidance. It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with him throughout.
Their Team turned our Estate around from a poor condition and reply promptly to all my concerns. Managed to recover outstanding debt arrears to the benefit of all on the Estate.
We had an issue with workers leaving debris in our communal hall and stairway. Jack from Newton Property has taken steps very quickly to have this resolved, keeping me updated regularly. Very impressed with the way this has been dealt with. Thanks.
Taken to long implementing some works, not enough pressure applied to owners resulting in holding up projects. Owners need to be reminded the standard of the property has to be maintained, future sales of property will reflect on this. One property recently has missed being sold, reason was given too many children creating a lot of noise.
I’m not a fan of factors however, Laura has restored my faith somewhat. Everything is done in a friendly, effective & efficient manner. She ensures the property is maintained to an excellent level.

I always receive friendly and prompt replies.
This company have overcharged our estate for a number of years. Now after complaints and tendering we are paying well under half the price. No clarity on what we are actually paying for other than 1 square of grass being cut occasionally. A number of residents had refused to pay however this impacts on remortgaging. Newton demand full payment of any arrears (even for those who they have entered into payment arrangements with) when it comes to remortgaging. A horrible company. Avoid at all costs.
