The house itself is wonderful, as are the gardens , but the gardens do need some work. The mosquitoes are a real problem. But for the price there are things missing, a lack of good linen, lack of full length mirrors, no makeup mirrors. Extremely blunt knives. It just didn’t add up to a luxury stay. The check in was a real problem, we had flown hours from New Zealand, and the check in codes were wrong. If our son hadn’t been with us, we would have slept in the car. Loved the outside dining options. Beds were ok. Overall I was disappointed
I have always had great holidays via Oliver's travels. Their selection of holiday homes is really good and service always excellent. I have just booked a holiday for 2025. The response and service from their Travel Advisor, Chiara, was top class.
We had an amazing holiday. Booking the villa was easy and the information about the venue was good. We had an issue with the taxi transfer, the address given was missing some information, we phoned Rafael who gave the driver more info. They do not use what3words in Spain. The villa was comfortable, but 2 of the dinning room chairs were broken, we just moved them into a corner. The bedroom overlooking the children’s pool did not have curtains or shutters to block out the security lighting that was on all night. A minor issue, but made sleeping a bit difficult for my daughter. We would recommend using Oliver’s travels to our friends and family. Thanks again for a great holiday
Villa fantastic. Just info before hand misleading ie 800metres to fishing village and no clear description of where Villa was, not near Binibeca. On flight path but not too bad Otherwise enjoyable holiday
Be really careful when booking with this company as you actually aren’t protected and can be let down as easily as an air bnb. We booked a villa on the Southern cost of Crete over a year in advance. It was on the beach and amenities in walking distance. When we arrived in Crete I was told the villa had been double booked. I spent the whole day on the phone being offered villas that didn’t fit out party, villas that weren’t available for 2 days and villas in the middle of nowhere. I was offered one villa big enough and on a beach but they wanted a further £7,000. After hours of stress and phone calls I expected an alternative as I had no other choice. The villa itself was lovely but not great for children and not in walking distance to anywhere. Instead of the beach we were up in the hills. When we got home I wrote to complain but they ignored my e-Mail. Not worth the mark up.
Great experience and loved the villa booked. Communication consistence and informative
Mrs. Beatrice & Mrs. Lucinda were very kind and professional. Always on disposal and with quick response. All guests which booked trough Oliver's Travels nice and kind people, mostly mid age families. Your Croatian team advised well all the guests about details of my Villa Inka and island of Brač as destination.
the villa was not as described, with a n umbe of issues; cleanliness, poor faciliaties and not private, pool dirty on arrival, touilet seats broken and very smelly drains inside and our of villa. The plugs didnt work at all on bath or sunks. Fridage onarraioval smelt of vinegar, Cat faeces in all outside patio pots na scats using loungers and outside seating.
Lovely Gite and super hosts with plenty of advice for attractions in the locality.
Great house in beautiful small town. Provided all we wanted.
The experience was pretty seemless. Easy to book, great communication, and house was just as pictured.
I booked Trulli dei Limoni in September 2023 for a stay in August 2024. We had to chase for confirmation, however once this was sorted, we believed it would all be plain-sailing. How wrong we were… I called the day before departure with a few enquiries and received nothing in response from either Oliver’s Travels or the owner. In hindsight, this was a red flag, however we trusted Oliver’s Travels and believed them to be reputable. We therefore believed that any issues we might have would be easily resolved in resort. Upon arrival we collected our big supermarket shop and headed to the designated place for key collection, which was a B&B. The paperwork said that check-in was after 4 but did not state whether there were any restrictions on when the key could be collected. As such, we headed to the B&B at just after 3pm, but it was all locked-up, no one was answering the door and the owner was not answering her phone. Because of this I called Oliver’s Travels, but all they could offer to do was call the owner themselves. Because the toddler was inconsolable at this point, we decided to head straight to the villa and wait there, so that we could at least get the children out and let them stretch their legs. However, there is no mobile phone reception in the area where the villa is located whatsoever and we could not find it, despite seeking help from the locals. After driving around for almost an hour, we headed back to the B&B, which was still locked. My husband rang the doorbell and the owner’s husband spoke to us briefly from the balcony above. She returned with her daughter after a short while and said she had no booking for us and that there were clients in the villa. She stated on a number of occasions that we’d cancelled our booking (We hadn’t.) and asked to see our voucher. The emergency accommodation offered was not suitable: we are a party of six (the villa accommodates 6!) with two children and we were offered three separate rooms across two different B&Bs, which weren’t close in location. Additionally we had only one vehicle between the six of us. After a short while she offered us the use of one of her rooms whilst she was liaising with her contacts and I was calling you. Having experienced a holiday complication only two years previously it’s incredibly important for us to book with a trusted U.K. agent. I thought we were safe in Oliver’s hands but felt incredibly vulnerable for those four hours. It also baffles me that a company who markets itself as a luxury villa agent has no U.K. based support team on hand to assist when things go wrong, other than during normal office hours. At that point I should have had a direct line to a Manager, or someone with the authority to make quick decisions and assist us swiftly. This is not good enough and needs to be reviewed from a company perspective. If there are no Managers in the building (there were no Managers in until Tuesday because it was a bank holiday) there should be at least one who is on-call and this support should not be limited to office hours. The alternative accommodation offered by Oliver’s was not suitable as it was only available from Monday and there was still a suggestion that we’d have to contribute more (which is ludicrous considering we’d have had to spend two nights in emergency accommodation). Indeed, the employee seemed more concerned at that time with whether the owner would be refunding their monies back, rather than ensuring our safety or welfare. He went so far as to ask me to ask her to respond to his emails. Seeing that the owner had resorted to booking.com, I logged on myself. I showed the owner two properties that were suitable and she called the agent of one to arrange our stay. We lost the first day of our holiday because of this. Moreover, the owner was quite clear to us that she would not be compensating us. When I emailed our complaint on 25.08.24, I asked ‘what you will be doing to restore our faith in you as a trustworthy company and encourage us to book with you again in the future. I would also be interested to know if any operational changes you may be making as a result, which would make us feel more secure in booking with you again.’ However your reply on 27.08.24 did little to reassure me, as you refused to accept accountability, claiming that: ‘The contract you hold resides with the supplier’ and asking for our patience whilst you liaised with them. Since then, we’ve heard nothing, despite sending two emails on 31.08 and 17.09. You claim to ‘take all complaints very seriously’, however this is a joke. It is not enough to rely solely on the local agents when things go wrong and people need to be aware that Oliver’s Travels are not agents. This is a mere platform for advertising the properties of private owners like any other, and their awards are of little consequence.
Great experience with Oliver’s Travels - great communication with Bella who was so helpful and answered all questions very quickly - what a very efficient experience and the holiday was everything we hoped for and more!
We found Francesco very understanding of family problems during our booking process, he was very patient and considerate. He was also good at foussing on our priorities when offering a variety of villas
I needed to change the dates of our booking, Francesco responded almost immediately and after a short while all the changes were made and with no additional costs, great news. He was very responsive to my request and even phoned to double check everything was okay. Thank you Francesco!
The cottage was in a beautiful rural position which was very relaxing. Unfortunately it was let down by the most uncomfortable beds and poor bedding. The towels were so small we actually went out and bought our own. The pool did not have its alarm and its heating was not on so we were unable to use it which seemed a little strange for the second week in September. The kitchen was very well equipped and easy to use. We ended up leaving a few days early as we were so uncomfortable. Sadly because of these negatives would not recommend going to the cottage.
House was lovely and the perfect size for our stay. We all had a lovely weekend. Here are some recommendations of where improvements could be made - 1. More cooking utensils needed in kitchen - very limited on knives and pans. 2. No instructions provided for the hot tub - temperature was set at 22 degrees on arrival so we couldn't use on the first day of our stay. Also appeared to be leaking. 3. Not enough mirrors - for 13 women trying to get ready this was an issue. 4. Would be great if they was some Bluetooth speakers around the house and not just in the basement. Would certainly recommend for large parties as the dinning room was great for entertaining.
A Seamless and Successful Partnership! I've had the pleasure of working with Lucinda Garnier and the incredible Team Croatia, and I can't recommend them enough. From day one, the level of professionalism, communication, and support has been outstanding. They truly understand the needs of property owners and go above and beyond to ensure a smooth experience. Lucinda's attention to detail and dedication to our partnership has been nothing short of exceptional. If you're looking for a trustworthy, responsive, and effective team, look no further. I'm genuinely impressed with how easy and efficient they make the entire process. Highly recommended!
The villa was superb and in the most perfect position. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s does state that it’s good for families which I’d have to say that the stairs down to the pool for little ones would be difficult. Our children were 5 and 7 and were perfectly fine but had our other grandchild have come at 2 years old it could have been a problem. Also it turned chilly whilst there and although there was a duvet in the cupboard there wasn’t a cover for it or any spare linen for emergencies. The only thing missing in the kitchen was a water dispenser which we have had at previous villas and is so useful. A villa as lovely as this really need to install one. A beautiful villa which I would recommend.

Sep 28,2024The Villa Hodos ( real name Villa Pergola) in Lefkada was so disgusting and filthy (We have photographic evidence) that after two days we relocated ( at our own expense) to another villa. In many years of renting villas this is something we have never had to even consider . The fact that our bed was the hardest, most uncomfortable we have ever slept in was bad, but not enough to drive us out. But when there are black human hairs between the sheets of my daughter’s bed; when the grime on the floor of her shower leaves her feet actually dirtier than when she stepped in; when there is hair and grime lying on her bedside mat - along with many other grim and worrying items, then we had to move. Oliver’s real priority appeared to be to emphasise, repeatedly , that our contract was not with them, but with the owner. Fortunately, the villa we moved to was beautiful, spotlessly clean, wonderfully equipped, delightfully managed and significantly less expensive than anything offered by Oliver’s . They will have no more of our business.
