Sep 17,2024This is the first time I have complained about a holiday company. We have had a really dissapointing, stressful experience with Oliver Travels. The quality of the accomodation was far below the standards that one would reasonably expect particuarly given the substantial sum of money we spent on the accomodation. The property was shockingly inadequate compared to any villas we have rented in the past. The property was grossly misrepresented. The complaints procedure is basic, disorganised and amateur. We have had to send numerous chasers to be taken seriously or heard. The offer of holiday credit to spend with Oliver travels is the result of weeks waiting for the case to be looked into. We have since rebuked this but now no response. The complaints procedure involves them speaking with the villa owner and pretty much denying our experience. They have a 48 hour response condition in the terms and conditions for our complaint to be registered which they did not adhere to. They work as an agent for the villa owners not for the customer. If you have a bad experience they don't seem to in anyway take it seriously or care. The service is unprofessional. When you spend over £11,000 for a weeks holiday you expect some sort of follow up customer service. How was the holiday, how was the accommodation? Nothing. I would seriously look at alternative options when booking a villa with Oliver Travels. We have used Simpsons Travels this Spring and they were simply exceptional.

Constance was a great help giving us a selection of five that met our needs for 11 of us ranging from a 4y/o through to active teenagers and their parents and grandparents wanting walking access to a village and restaurants. Sep 16,2024Great location loved the property. Olivers Travels as always gave great care before the holiday. Sadly the property is looking a bit tired and not very clean. It was certainly not of the high standard we have come to expect from Olivers Travels. That said, it is a great property and the owner was kind, nice and helpful

The house was gorgeous and good value but everything else has been a catalogue of errors that rumble on over a month later. - child safe pool cover not functioning - told impossible to fix as “it’s August” - property manager told me I was a bad mother - abusive texts about us leaving bin bags when we had driven around for nearly an hour looking for the local bins to put them and had also sent an apology email - two iPads left at the property have not been returned. We can see them being used in France but Oliver’s travels are “struggling to get hold of the owner” - zero customer service - multiple weeks to reply to any email - no apologies, no effort to resolve problems - offered me £200 not to write a bad review which I declined Oliver’s Travels and concierge don’t belong in the same sentence

Sep 13,2024Nice location and lovely house in the heart of Lourmarin, Great for family holiday with twentysomethings who like dining, culture and great outdoors. Feel a little attendance to small things might have been better considering the price. As beautiful as it is, its rather silly not to offer soap in the showers in my view and be so inflexible on the timings in and OUT ie not negotiate 4pm and out before 10am were not at all to be negotiated. very silly . Also we had the frustration of something wanting to come around the day before we left to talk about keys when we felt we still had a great 24 hrs of our vacation. Wr felt it nosey and down right rude and irratating.

Sep 12,2024We had an excellent stay at Château de Champ Carré. The owner is very friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful party with friends and felt right at home. The rooms in the main part of the château are magnificent and the rooms in the hunting lodge are really charming. It was a perfect stay, and the fine weather made it possible to enjoy a swim.
