Sep 10,2024We booked a beautiful-looking villa in Turvey online almost a week ago. The full price, including amount needed for deposit etc, was clear enough. I received an email saying the provisional booking had been made, and that confirmation would shortly follow. Nearly a week later I still had not heard anything back so I phoned and was told they were still awaiting 2025 rates for the villa from the owner. This despite the price being given clearly for our dates on the website. The advisor I spoke to promised to get back to me later that same day. She didn't. I phoned again the next day and have now cancelled my booking. I cannot understand how a company like this can advertise rates on the website and only once you have booked work out what the rates are actually going to be! To my mind it's false advertising and highly deceptive.

Sep 10,2024Robert and Daniela are great hosts giving all the tips and help you need. The house is beautiful, for anyone looking for a peaceful stay in South France with wonderful views. We stayed with 4 kids (ages 8 to 12) and they loved the pool, darts board, billiards table and exploring the surrounding fields and local habitat. Plenty to do in the area, particularly great lakes for swimming in and lovely towns for visiting.

Sep 07,2024I rented Villa Paz in Almancil Portugal for a week's stay with family. The beautiful, well appointed 4BR, 4BA villa provided more than ample space for enjoying time together. The complimentary concierge service offered by Oliver's in prep for the stay was attentive and responsive, but a bit not what I was expecting. They offered what appeared to be a helpful service of stocking the refrigerator with essentials for our afternoon arrival. The concierge questionnaire asked specifically what foods and items we'd like to order. After completing the online order form, I received a response back with a link to the website of local food market(s), basically stating I should order the items myself. Ended up shopping prior to our arrival. The villa itself was impressive and comfortable. The patio and terraces offered views of the lovely grounds, pool and bbq. Many outdoor seating and dining areas to enjoy the lush surroundings. The bedrooms were huge, well appointed with en suite bathrooms and great closet space. Each with its own minisplit AC unit. Wanting to cool down the 2nd floor guest room on arrival, I discovered that the AC did not work. I called the maintenance person listed on the contact sheet, who came by promptly and found that there were no batteries in the remote. Same with upstairs tv. Unusable because of missing batteries. Why a simple thing like ensuring that there are fresh batteries in all remote controls throughout the villa was overlooked, was puzzling to me. The large kitchen was well equipped and provided enough cooking items and utensils for daily meals. The coffee drinkers in our group were impressed with the new, fancy espresso machine. However, it was way too complicated to use. We gave up and bought coffee locally. Looked all over the kitchen for a simple drip coffeemaker but couldn't find one. Finally, after a couple of days, I found one hidden away in a kitchen drawer. Unfortunately, it had not been adequately cleaned and a used filter with old coffee grounds was still in it! After cleaning the coffeemaker, we used it for the remainder of our stay. The large refrigerator was more than adequate for our needs. However, the in door ice maker did not dispense ice. When I opened the freezer door, and avalanche of ice fell onto the kitchen floor. The ice hopper was blocked because the unit was not maintained properly. The maintenance man kindly fixed the problem. All in all, our stay at Villa Paz was comfortable and enjoyable. I would have gladly rated our experience at five stars, but regrettably, the lack of attention to simple, pre- arrival details in the villa merited a 4 star rating.

Sep 06,2024Easy to book. I liked the website and account function. It was reassuring to know the concierge service was there. Contact was not intrusive. The one negative was regarding directions. The what3words was for the owners, not the house, and the name of the property was wrong, which was confusing when we were in the village. Other than that - brilliant

I needed to add two friends visiting for two nights and this was handled smoothly and without fuss. The accommodation was of a very high standard as were Oliver’s Travel.

Sep 04,2024Firstly, the booking process was seamless and easy. The Villa was as described and stunning. The concierge provided by David and Chrissie Lang was outstanding. Their knowledge of the area, local restaurants, wineries and places of interest really allowed us to explore the local area. The cleaning staff were a joy and went above and beyond. The Villa was absolutely as described and perfect for a large family and friends celebration. All of our guests were equally as blown away as we were. If there is a constructive point of feedback it would be regarding the building work on the adjacent golf course. Whilst this did not impact our stay, the road to the Villa meant driving through a building site and when work was taking place we could hear it in the distance. This was not a problem but advanced knowledge of this would have managed our expectations. A great holiday with wonderful local staff and we would recommend.

Sep 04,2024Villa Air was beautiful! We had a wonderful stay, the house is gorgeous, really well appointed, comfortable and luxurious. The location is fabulous and we got to enjoy stunning orange sunsets every evening that bathed the house in a lovely glow. The property manager Mike couldn't do enough for us and made some great recommendations for the area which were so helpful. The cleaning service that came daily Monday-Thursday was very much appreciated and a detail that I must have missed. We barely lifted a finger all week! Can I hop on a plane and come again asap?!

Sep 03,2024Communication regarding the stay was good. However, the description of the villa as "nothing short of true luxury" is a large exageration. The villa is tired and the photos used are old and no longer reflect it's current condition. In addition the smell of the oil tank permeatted through the ground floor rooms.
