Sep 02,2024No empathy to our disruption during stay.constantly email for resolve to the problem but never answered. Always had be proactive to get any response. Taken over 2 months to get a resolution to a major inconvenience to our family holiday. We were disrupted, inconvenienced and upset by the facilities and our holiday was compromised. Sorry Oliver’s travels but we will never use you again or recommend you to families who had asked for our feedback.

Sep 02,2024Villa Splendide was everything we would have hoped for in a villa while visiting Lake Como. The light-filled house enjoys incredible views of the lake and mountains. Its private location in quaint Cevenna makes for a quiet and serene setting among the pines. The bedrooms are well sized and appointed with comfortable linens. The beautiful pool, sauna, and vegetable and flower gardens were among our family's favorite hangout spots! Luiggi, the house manager, was extraordinary. He was attentive, friendly, helpful, and professional. The night he helped with a cooking class - along with Sicilian chef, Fausto - was among our most memorable and festive evenings. Next time, we'll enjoy more dinners at the house!

Sep 02,2024We stayed at the villa, Casa Ribeira, in Madeira, a fabulous place. Monique the host/owner was so helpful, responsive, and welcoming. It was an idyllic rural setting surrounded by farmland. The villa is located on the west side of the island, 15 mins drive from Calheta and not far from Ponto Monitz. The villa is perched up high (there are steps leading up to the house). The view is the first thing you notice, it’s overlooks the sea, we saw some of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve ever seen. The house itself was very stylish - beautiful layout, clean and very spacious. My mother took the downstairs bedroom with en-suite bathroom, my daughter and us had the 2 bedrooms upstairs - all bedrooms were very comfortable and had the fabulous view. The kitchen and living/dining area are great, the kitchen was very well equipped. The swimming pool was the main feature, it was a really good size and we had it heated so were in it a lot! There was also a permanent bbq and eating area outside. We think this villa is a perfect choice if you are looking for a peaceful and secluded place that is a short drive from towns and shops. To us it felt like a retreat and we had the most relaxing stay. It was easy booking via Oliver’s Travels and the communication through the booking process was very good. We received an email from Monique 5 days before our stay with detailed information and instructions, that was helpful and reassuring. Thanks for a wonderful and stress-free stay!

Aug 31,2024I attempted to book 2 different villas, in both cases, and after a deposit of nearly £2000 had been taken, a representative of the company mailed me to say the price advertised was too low and they wouldn’t honour the booking. Appalling consumer services and I think in breach of the sale of goods act. Won’t use again and wouldn’t recommend.

Aug 30,2024The company were quick and efficient in dealing with my initial questions including speaking to the owner to agree revised dates outside those offered. The descriptions and photographs were an accurate reflection of the villa and all relevant booking information was received in a timely manner. One mistake - I was provided with wrong contact details - was promptly rectified once I raised the issue, and was followed up to ensure I was satisfied with the outcome.

Aug 29,2024Our holiday in Crete was wonderful. The Villa was exceptional! clean, stylish, well equipped with and an excellent location. The owner was super helpful, on hand to answer any questions even organising a fridge stock for our arrival as we arrived late, which was invaluable. Steve was also very kind on our last day, which was really appreciated. Wouldn't hesitate to book this Villa again, great beach bar down in 5 mins walking distance and a gorgeous restaurant Thanasis, authentic Greek taverna, white table and blue table clothes, just on the waters edge, with great food ! All in all a great holiday. Thank you Oliver's travels responded to any queries we had and were very efficient, even providing a price match on booking !

Accommodation exactly what was specified. 2nd booking with this company and would recommend. Cheese and bubbly very welcome after a long drive through France. Really appreciated owner contacting us during our journey to check we had all the directions

This is a preemptive review of a villa booking for June ‘25, so cannot review that at this time, but I have to say this company really appears to value customers & not only meets expectations but beats them. Alison was extremely helpful (even on a Sunday…!!) thank you If the villa turns out to be as good as it looks then I’ll be back to review that with the same enthusiasm.
