She was incredibly easy to work with and always just a phone call or email away. Her communication was top-notch, responding promptly and thoroughly to every question we had. What really stood out to us was how genuinely nice and personable she was throughout the entire process. For us as property owners the contact with the consultants is really good, we always get a swift reaction on emails within a few hours, and this always results in a booking confirmation. The preselection of clients by them are always a perfect match with our property. When ever there is a specific request from a client outside the standard requirements they always try to find the best solution for all parties. Aug 20,2024The villa's location is stunning - incredible views of the lake (Magiorre); walkable to the nice little town (albeit incredibly steep roads with no pavements); easy drive to the nearest larger town & railway station (Arona); lovely pool; and challenging (in a fun way) local 'roads', some of which had gradients you wouldn't believe! Our only gripes were how hot the villa was - we admittedly misread the description of 'aircon only in the top 2 bedrooms' as 2 of the 4 bedrooms had aircon but we naively assumed there was aircon in the rest of the villa. The reality was literally only 2 of the bedrooms had aircon, no other rooms, so it made the villa uncomfortably and unpleasantly hot most of the time. When we arrived and when we left the owners flung open every door and window to get some air in, but it also invited every fly and mosquito too so we got pretty badly bitten. Aircon in the lounge should be a minimum for a villa of this size, quality and location! We also had an issue where the owners lived 300km from the villa so when we had a problem with the safe on day 2 and couldn't access our money, passports & jewellery; the owner couldn't help. We finally got access to the safe the night before we left which wasn't ideal and made for a quite stressful week trying to get hold of cash etc. Have a spare key for the safe with a neighbour surely? So overall a '5' for the view, pool, location and quality of the villa; downgraded to a '3' for the lack of aircon and hassle of a broken safe!

A good and functional website complemented by great service from real people (Danielle on this occasion - thank you). Whilst this review is based only on another exemplary booking process we have every confidence that the actual booking will be great given previous experience and the confidence inspired by the excellent service.

Aug 19,2024The booking process was easy and the villa we stayed in was perfect for our group - big grounds with loads of entertainment (pool, basketball hoop, badminton) for kids and very private - but what made the holiday special was the very helpful owner of the villa who organised a private boat trip for us and gave us lots of useful advice on everything from restaurants to activities.

I have been inundated with so many unnecessary communications. Please Oliver's Travels be more succinct and don't bombard your guests with too many emails.

Oliver's Travels have a wide selection of first class properties and from conversations with owners I understand Oliver's have visited many of the properties to make sure their travellers spend their precious holidays in a 5 Star property.
