Customer service just not as strong as it should be
The call quality as well as the customer service is exceptional. I had very little problem transfering my number from Nettalk and I would have expected more issues.
After being a consumer of Phone Power since 2009, I can honestly say the quality of services have only improved. In fact, I couldn't resist convincing my aging mother to leave her long time phone provider for a much more affordable plan Phone Power had to offer. And she loves it to this very day!!
High quality technology, at one of the best prices around, especially when calling internationally to mobile phones. The reason I only give 4 stars is that Phone Power does not offer voice mail messages as written out emails, only as emails with a sound file you have to listen to. I was used to being able to read my voice messages from my previous IP phone service.
I filled out the online application (very easy) but someone had to call me back a few days later and confirm every detail of what I had ALREADY provided in the application. This seems redundant. I asked if they need any more information from me and they said that they didn't. I waited 2 weeks (not hearing anything from them) and finally sent them an email requesting a status update. They replied in 2 days saying the order was rejected because they needed my Comcast account number (Comcast was my voice landline provider) but they were able to find the account number from one of their vendors (strange and slightly disturbing how they can get this information). I would have happily provided this account number had they asked for it initially. The little VOIP box arrived 4 days later and it worked perfectly. The number was ported over successfully 7 days later. All of this, from start to finish, took about a MONTH. Contrast this to porting a cell number from one provider (Verizon) to another (Google Fi) which I accomplished in less than 30 MINUTES just a few days ago! There's no reason that this process should have taken as long as it did. The service itself it great. Works just like my previous service and integrates perfectly with nomorobo.com.
i BEEN GETTING CHARGES FROM PAST 3 MONTHS & SERVICE STILL HAVE NOT STARTED. sPOKE TO CUSTOMER SERVICE & THEY TOLD ME THEY CAN CANCELED THE SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH ADDITIONAL CHARGE. WHEN I DID NOT EVEN GOT THE SERVICE THEN WHY I SHOULD BE CHARGED I SHOULD GET MY CREDIT. NO RESPONSE YET SO I CALLED CREDIT CARD COMPANY FOR DISPUTE
I recently switched my home phone number from a local carrier to Phone Power. I couldn't be happier. The price is reasonable and the customer service has been great. There were no issues keeping my same number; the process was very smooth. I have no hesitation recommending Phone Power to others.
I used the phone adapter that Phone Power sent for free and installation was basicly plug and play. The quality is better than the AT&T voIP was. The price is close to 1/3 what AT&T was charging (new plan is unlimited phone minutes, old plan was 300/month.) I was informed that the Phone Power adapter was not powerful enough to use for my entire house, I am doing that anyhow and it seems to be working out just fine. My house is small and the adapter is powering 3 telephones.
nice to have app to rollover calls to your cell, but cannot adjust volume on incoming calls - too loud; probably can adjust recorded message but I am not sure how.
Helpful support with ordering and answering technical questions. it arrived promptly, and was easy to set up. There are some problems with clarity, but not sure if that's down to the Panasonic phones we're using. The value for money is excellent, we have the basic international package for less than half our previous gouging provider charged. The other services included in the price are great (voicemail, etc.) and especially useful is the automatic email notification we receive for missed calls (although it's only if the caller goes through to the recorded message). We're looking forward to trying out the smart phone app. Overall, we're very pleased so far, and have already recommended Phone Power to several friends who live out in the boonies like us. Thank you Phone Power! (BTW, we haven't received any considerations for writing this review!)
Such a top-notch great service
Thanks to Tech Support and Customer Support for an easy transition, a quality product, and super Customer Support.
Good deal. Easy to set up.
Phone Power has a great many pros. Feature wise it has everything you could normally asked for and need. In addition the ability to have a second line with your one number is very convenient. The little support that I have required was excellent and very friendly. The only con I find is that the line sometimes has sound interference or an echo. Price wise it is a good value compared to most other VOIP services and 15% of the cost of a land line from AT&T.
Great support, great flexibility. Sadly didn't cover what I needed in the world calling plan, but once they do, I'll sign up in a heartbeat.
PhonePower works well. Good sound quality. Reliable service and no problem with faxes. We still have our land line phone number, minus the cost and the fraudulent bills from CenturyLink
I reviewed different companies on-line and decided to try phone power and I have not regretted it one minute, as the setup was easy and the on-line help is great.
The staff is great and the service is great.
We hardly use our phone, but we wanted to keep the number and reduce costs. (We were using a cable bundle that was running $35 a month). I am not a techie, either. Found equipment installation a breeze, portability of number worked fine, and I love some of the benefits they have, such as emailing me when someone calls. I'm sure the cable co does that too, but I could never figure it out. Now I'm up for renewal and I'll probably renew with them again.
