Had to wait for few days for Dyno Rod to come, and spent the time putting drain cleaners and stuff down drain as it was going all over garden, my husband put his hands down to try keeping it clear and eventually it worked, and the Dyno Rod guys were able to flush through and get manhole cover up to check that end....
I was very pleased how quick you came to do my repair and the man was very polite thank yous

They are happy to up the rent every year, but, don't want to take responsibility in maintaining their properties. There is no communication, no replying to complaints, not turning up to appointments made, shoddy workmanship when they do turn up. I have in more than 35 years had nothing from them, apart from a new boiler to replace the constantly breaking down one that was so old, I'm pretty sure it was not legal. That took me years of begging for. I had to put in a new kitchen many years ago, because they refused to, it was damp and rotting, I was infested with slugs, woodlice, ants, but because I had painted it to try and make it better, they said it was fine. The smell of damp was awful. So I, as a single mother, sorted it myself. I also had to put up a new fence and gate, because they refused, my neighbour had broken it down in a drunken episode. I had a leak under my bath, they ripped off my bath panel and refused to replace it, I had to make my own. Years of complaints of guttering, that have wrecked 2 wooden windows, that are now rotting because of the leaking, after years they replaced the guttering but it still leaked. 3 times have been to fix it, but all they have done is move the leak further down. Now, years of phone complaints and in the end a solicitor to get my rotten windows fixed. The court ruling was the work must be finished, including a rotten back door, by the 3rd of Jan. Got a email saying they are coming on the 24th of Jan. Phoned to put in a complaint, heard nothing back. It's been a nightmare 5 plus years. I'm sorry if this is not the review you want to get, but it is all completely true. I am very house proud and have done all I can to maintain it to a good standard. Pity it's not met with the same from them.
Terrible Experience with Place for People We have lived in a house managed by Place for People for over 10 years, and dealing with them has been nothing but a constant headache. Whenever something needs fixing, they promise to resolve it but never follow through. 1. Leaking Shed: The shed (originally supplied by Place for People) has been leaking for ages. Now they're claiming they aren't responsible because new-build houses don't come with sheds, even though we rented the house with their shed. It's absolutely unacceptable for them to shirk responsibility. 2. Mold Issues: We've reported mold in the bathroom and bedrooms multiple times. They sent someone to clean it but never addressed the root cause, despite promising to fix it. To add insult to injury, after cleaning the mold, they increased the rent. 3. Kitchen Worktops: The kitchen worktops have needed replacing for years. They keep postponing appointments with flimsy excuses. Even the most recent appointment was confirmed in the morning, yet no one showed up. Now, it’s postponed again! 4. Falling Fence: The fence has been falling apart for years. We've reported it repeatedly, but nothing has been done. After all these years, I’m not sure if this is how they treat everyone, but it’s unacceptable. I would not recommend Place for People to anyone.
Didn't return the timer on the heating system back to how it was set, therefore the heating wasn't on during the cold snap after he had visited.

Jan 15,2025I was booked in for 2 workmen to arrive but of course that didn't happen that's for the second time when that didn't show up Another workman showed up to look at my windows but you then cancelled his appointment to go to another address with a water issue The issue with me is that you never let me know if you are coming or not which usually means NO. I have sent pictures of my whole in my floor problem but my next appointment is in three months. It just isn't good enough I have been a tenant of your since 96' and would appreciate a little compassion
