Booking easy. Any queries were dealt with promptly. The apartment was clean and comfortable and just like the photos.i wouldn’t hesitate to use Plum Guide again.

Impressed with the accuracy of property listing - pics accurately portrayed space and host was indeed accommodating. In fact, property exceeded our expectations. Your staff was extremely helpful in facilitating a change to our itinerary (airline cancelled original flight, necessitating an additional day to our stay). They were extremely empathetic to situation and very responsive in resolving solution, in a most professional, courteous and expeditious manner.

It’s so nice to have a choice or properties that have been well vetted. I find Airbnb completely oversaturated do to be able to narrow down the search and not have to filter out unclean or unsuitable properties was wonderful!

Plum Guide came up when I searched for an Athen apartment for 4 people for a 4 day break. There was a good choice, and the one we opted for was a superb apartment right in the middle of the old town. It was exactly like the listing, only better. Communication with the host was easy and timely. Thoroughly recommended.

First time researching Plum Guide for a client as a travel advisor. The more time I spent on the site, I found more ways to help narrow down the search to the best recommendations for my client based on their travel needs. I found the chat to be responsive and helpful in making recommendations. The only thing missing from the specific home that my client was interested in was the reviews. I was assured when I inquired that each home is vetted thoroughly but nothing like unsolicited reviews.

When we arrived at our apartment in Madrid on April 12, the keys did not work. We called our check-in agent and over the course of 3 hours, she tried 4 different sets of keys before deciding it was a lock problem, not a key problem. A "technician" was called in, he could not open the door and so another technician was called in to change the entire lock. We spent 4 1/2 hours standing in the hallway waiting to gain access to our apartment. The lobby was also being varnished that day so in addition to being covered in dust, we inhaled those fumes all afternoon. We have been home for a week and have emailed our host Felipe and plumguide multiple times to complain and we've received no response. Upon arriving home, I cross-checked the property on other rental sites. The lock was a known problem, our check-in agent even mentioned it being a problem in the past. Plum Guide offers a more luxurious experience than other sites, but our experience was the opposite. We would have been better off staying in a vrbo or hotel. The property was fine, but the customer experience has been nonexistent. We will not use this company again. * An update to my review - we heard back from Plum Guide coincidentally on the same day as I posted my review. They have offered us a nominal reimbursement for our time and now the Care Team is requesting that I amend or remove my review. I'll change the 1 star to 3, but this does not change my opinion much of the company. They offer properties at a premium price, but when there was an issue, they were very slow to assist and respond. Not including customer reviews on individual properties is a red flag in my opinion...

I really love Plum Guide! I needed to stay in LA for a couple of weeks and after many hours over several days of searching the usual incumbents, and reading review after review, I was at a loss. Then came along Plum Guide! It offered a curated and vetted list of "good to go" accommodation options, that I could review on their featues at face value, rather than getting lost in review after review. In the end, I stayed in fanstastic place (shout out to Zerik of Bee's Knees) at a fantastic price, and it was as great as Plum Guide had vetted it to be! Plum Guide is now my go to, as it's the best inventory of all those gems you usual go spending hours seaching for!

From the Plumguide website: "When you book with Plum, you are guaranteed .... peace of mind. We promise expert vetted homes, total transparency and exceptional service". We found that to be true in 2019 when we used the Plum to book in Barcelona (4 nights at Luca) and Paris (8 nights at Rue de Beaune). Plum helped us directly with check in information and both homes were wonderful! NOT on this trip, April 2024. After booking 5 star hotels in Mayfair, London and Avenue George V, Paris, and wanting to experience life in Asturias, Spain we booked the only Plum recommendation in the main beach city of Gijon for a week starting April 15th. The difference in the Plum experience became apparent when by the afternoon of the 15th we had not received any check-in information - Plum had informed us that this would be sent to us directly by Hans, the property owner. When calling Hans, I discovered that "his" phone number was actually the call center for a large organization called Belvillas based in Holland. Belvillas was unable to help us because we did not have their confirmation code - not surprising as we had never heard of/from Belvillas! Repeated attempts to speak to someone at the Plumguide were an unsuccessful runaround of "press 1 for...". Plum offers a customer chat option which at 4:20pm I used to ask for the check-in information - which I was given via chat at 5:12pm. On arrival at our Plumguide home we were let in by a guy who could not wait to leave - understandable as we felt the same way on taking a look around. The smell of sewer, mold and mildew was almost overpowered by the cheap scent diffusers everywhere. The bed "linens" were old, polyester of various shades with one bolster pillow for two people; the towels were worn, cheap, of various colors including black! I could go on..... it was horrible and completely unacceptable. Back on Plum "customer service" chat, I sent photos and comments expecting help with this ludicrous parody of an "expertly vetted home". Instead I was told that the website did not promise white bedding and towels and thank you for sharing, sorry that you are disappointed! As we were leaving the keys on the table on our way out - the chat told me that cancellation was impossible unless the owner agreed and that I had to call them as "once you book the contract is between the host and the guest"!! What is this service that Plumguide is offering??! ZERO!!

Absolutely the worst experience we have yet to come across in all of our travels. The apartment was filthy. The smell was nauseating. The clutter was overwhelming. The bedding and towels were awful. No wonder the so called host couldn’t wait to get the hell out of there. Plum guide is a JOKE!

We spent a week in October 2023 in an amazing property, modern and well equipped in London. Location was absolutely perfect, the owner was very kind and helpful and the service of Plum Guide was flawless. Highly recommended!!

It was a pleasure booking through Plum Guide. The site was recommended by a friend and we went ahead and booked our holiday accommodation in Paris for a family of four. We weren't disappointed and unlike other booking sites the apartment was true to the photos shown. It was everything it promised to be and we had the added bonus of unexpected wifi. The site was easy to book through and we wouldn't hesitate to use Plum Guide to book our next holiday.

Plum Guide were great. The customer service staff were always extremely helpful whenever I reached out and the places they had on offer to rent were plentiful and beautiful. I ended up renting an amazing home in Spain (which I booked and organised from my home in Australia) which had everything I wanted plus more. I highly recommend plum guide for finding a perfect holiday rental.

Beautifully restored and maintained cottage - unlike some images shown on other websites, this was true to the photos - we weren’t disappointed on arrival Bijou and calming…perfect for a short de-stress, rest and restore mini break The fully enclosed garden was perfect for our rescue fur babies who reacted very positively in a strange place - feeling very relaxed and calm🤗🧘 Being only 2 hours away makes it a perfect ‘restorative pick me up’ getaway from a hectic busy schedule Will certainly be ‘escaping’ here again later on in the year🙂

Extremely disappointed with our PLUM GUIDE stay. Upon arrival, we faced a myriad of issues: sewer smell, construction debris, and lack of essentials. Despite repeated complaints, minimal action was taken. Hot water ran out within minutes, and a major ceiling leak went unresolved for our entire stay. Communication was abysmal, with delayed responses and excuses (by 2-3 days!). Despite assurances, the promised resolution never materialized. Our 12-day ordeal marred our birthday celebration and Easter holiday. We expected better service, especially from a reputed platform like PLUM GUIDE. Regrettably, our experience was subpar compared to Airbnb. We urge PLUM GUIDE to improve their responsiveness and service quality. Given the circumstances, we believe a full or significant refund is warranted. Our advice: proceed with caution before booking with PLUM GUIDE.

The apartment in Petit Montmartre was exactly as pictured with all the amenities promised. It was lovely. It was not, however, safe for a solo female traveler. I was catcalled and aggressively approached within a few steps of the front door and a trio of sex workers set up shop across the narrow street after dark. I was directly cautioned by a neighborhood shopkeeper not to stand in front of my apartment as I would be taken for a prostitute. This quite strongly impacted my ability to move freely after dark. So, with five stars for the apartment and one star for safety, I'm going with a three.
