Nov 26,2024My husband and I recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary, and decided to do it in Palm Springs, California. I was inspired to look into Palm Springs after seeing a Plum Guide spot on Instagram. I follow Plum Guide, and have used them to find other vacation spots in the past. Their homes do not disappoint!! I feel very confident booking with them. Their homes are well appointed and well vetted. And Modern Dreamer in P.Ss,.Cali did not disappoint!!! It was even better in person, and we were THRILLED!!! We spent 5 days in luxurious desert heaven! The house was spotless, the grounds were meticulously kept, as was the sparkling pool, and spa! We enjoyed it all to its fullest potential!!! And it was ever so mid-century modern cool, head to toe, inside and out, just as a Palm Springs vacation home should be! Thank you to Plum Guide!!

Nov 25,2024Plum Guide has completely won over our friends and family. The staff are helpful, the site is easy and clear, and every place we have chosen has exceeded our expectations. This year we need to single out "Daughter In Time" in Inverness and "The Artist Collection" in London. Daughter In Time was a perfect Highland oasis. Lovely warm welcome, beautiful and sophisticated decor, with wonderful touches (plush bathrobes in each bedroom). It was the perfect, centrally located place to host 2 friends who each needed a bedroom and bathroom. Would return in a flash! The Artist Collection is truly spectacular and unique - full of colour and art, it was a joy to take respite there. Again, perfect for 2 friends in need of bedroom and bathroom each - and spacious, cozy, comfortable areas to sit and read, snack, and visit. (The beds were particulary comfortable) And we must mention Sharon, who managed the place and was so responsive, helpful and kind. All her local recommendations were terrific! Again, we will return to this beautiful place! One thing to note - we arrived in the dark, and the street is split into two names. 1 side is Fitz James Ave., and the other Fitz George Ave. - and the address is for the actual apartment, not the street address. So go to the NW corner of Fitz James Ave. and North End Road - first beautiful building!

Nov 12,2024Etna Enchanted is the perfect name for this wonderful villa. It has magical views from the rooftop terrace which is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink or meal. The villa is very well equipped and comfortable with lovely locally sourced decor both old and new giving it a very special vibe. Alessia is an amazing host, so helpful with providing much needed local information and tips. She truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. This villa is somewhere we would love to return to in the future and it is perfectly situated to travel to Etna, Naxos, Taormina, Syracuse, Ortigia and Catania. A piece of paradise 😊

Nov 09,2024This was very disappointing. If the benchmark of quality is Alistair Sawday or a Landmark property you are going to feel shortchanged. Obviously taste varies from person to person , but our family group of mixed ages were unanimous that quality was not the word. Our booking was sold on to a company called Bolthole without telling us , so registering proved difficult without several calls. Acoustics in the kitchen are impossible for all ages. Only one pan works on the induction hobs . No salt when we were told this would be supplied. No light bulb in central light in main bedroom . En suite basin drains very very slowly . The overall effect was pretentious and tacky . Scent dispensers in plugs and plastic plants will never create an atmosphere of luxury. After writing this Plum guide telephoned me to say they were as distressed as I was and that they would now evaluate the property . This is reassuring and helpful , so I hope this is a one off experience

Nov 01,2024I am currently staying at The Solar Eclipse apartment in Paris. It is a very disappointing experience. I am disappointed with the apartment, it is moderate, certainly not luxury. The interiors are basic and cheaply furnished. One of the rattan chairs has a hole in it covered up by a cushion. I will have to go out and buy champagne and wine glasses as there are none. On arrival the security code to the apartment failed so we were sharing one key. It took 4 days to repair the security lock, only because I insisted. The most disappointing and frustrating aspect is the noise from the metro, rumbling constantly between 5am and midnight. It is stressful and unacceptable based on the supposed scrutiny that each apartment is supposed to go through. I booked this apartment for 24 days hoping to live comfortably in Paris for that period. I am in an apartment that does not meet the description and paying a premium rate. I contacted both the host and Plum Guide head office and received patronising and rhetoric ridden responses from both saying how sorry they are to hear about my experience but can’t do anything to assist even after asking them to find me an alternative apartment. To quote PG…” Plum Guide is the only booking platform that meticulously curates extraordinary homes on an unprecedented scale. But we're not just a booking platform. Think of us like the Michelin Guide….” I consider this false advertising based on my experience. The only reason I gave it 1 star is because it was clean on arrival.

Oct 31,2024The apartment was exactly as Plum Guide advertised. When we first walked in we were floored by the amazing view in the living/dining area. Each bedroom had an equally amazing view. The apartment is small, however we had 6 adults staying there and we were quite comfortable. The kitchen was spacious and had everything that we needed. The on site laundry room was great. The host, YouStylish, were available for questions and delivered a new coffee pot the same day when we informed them the one in the apartment was not working. They also arranged an amazing dinner with a private chef. I would absolutely rent a home from Plum Guide again.
