This telephone experience to make a claim on my boiler cover was positive but I was surprised to hear that although my cover is up to £4000, this DOESN'T include a new boiler - I only get £500 max towards a new boiler. The £4,000 covers other damage that may be caused during repair. Also, with the cover, you get an annual boiler service but you need to remember to book it. It would be kind if UW sent customers an annual reminder for this. So, 5 stars for the guy I spoke to but only 3 stars for the cover.
Prompt direct answering. No numerous automated options which mess your head up 🤯 Paul was helpful, polite and crystal clear with his comments. Just the way it should be when you are having a home emergency.

This morning we had no hot water. At first I thought it was just the shower but it was a boiler fault. Ryan was extremely helpful and professional. I now have a plumber booked for today which is great.
The claim call was answered promptly and all aspects of the claim and call out dealt with efficiently, with clear information on how it would proceed. Text confirmation of claim, immediately and appt times offered quickly .

Ryan was friendly, courteous and responsive to our situation. He recorded the claim report, and handled the process to determine that we were covered for our particular issues. He set expectations that we would receive further contact within an hour with updates on how the claim was progressing. And that did happen. Overall an excellent customer service experience, which is rare these days!

Jack was lovely however it turns out that my cover doesn’t cover the problem I had, I paid the excess and even after extensively explaining the problem, it wasn’t realised that the problem wasn’t covered so £60 is effectively down the drain with my leaking tank water!
