Nov 13,2024One day, on my way to work, I stopped to allow a Riverford delivery van out in front of me. Whilst I was reading the information on the back of the van, thought I’d give them a call. The rest is history. Only regret is I didn’t know of the company earlier. They take pride with the choice food and delivery. Well done.

Nov 12,2024This is my second month using Riverford, and I’m loving it! As a vegetarian married to a meat-eater, we initially wanted to invest in quality organic meat after a friend's recommendation. I’d known about Riverford for years and admired their values, but I’d hesitated, thinking it would be too expensive (spoiler: I was wrong!). Within days of signing up, I got a welcoming phone call from a real, friendly person explaining everything and encouraging me to reach out with any questions. I was blown away by this personal touch and instantly impressed. Their exceptional customer service continued when there was a mix-up with a meat order. After easily reaching out via online chat, they resolved it brilliantly, letting me keep the extra meat, crediting my account for the original cost, and adding £10 in credit. I felt they truly cared about making things right. Compared to supermarkets where interactions feel impersonal, Riverford is a game-changer. The quality of the food is incredible, with noticeably better flavor than what I used to buy. My husband claims it’s the best meat he’s had in years, and I’ve fallen in love with their fruits and veggies, especially the pears, apples, and everything purple! The squash box for autumn transformed my pantry into a colorful display, and I even remodeled it to showcase the beautiful produce. Riverford has made me more excited to cook, reduced plastic waste, and taught me so much about vegetables. I look forward to the ritual of washing my veg at 5 a.m. (and I am not a morning person!). Plus, they’ve surprised me with thoughtful gifts, like a free cookbook packed with simple, delicious recipes. I will NEVER go back to supermarket shopping. Until I can grow my own organic produce, I’ll be looking forward to my Riverford box every two weeks. Some of our favorites include: The meat (as voted by my husband) Cavolo Nero (we make crisps weekly!) Belton Farm cheese (best cheddar ever!) Everything purple... (carrots, sweet potatoes, cauliflower) Yoghurt (perfect for homemade pitta bread) Tofu (a staple in my diet) All the veg... (I just can’t pick a favorite!) Riverford has truly transformed how I feel about food shopping. Highly recommended!

I’m particularly keen on buying British products and Riverford make that easy to do with their labelling, including offering boxes of just British produce. Delivery packaging is robust and can be returned with the driver. Riverford make it easy to make better choices.

Nov 09,2024I loved the way we are always kept informed of what is coming in the box which is so helpful and where the different items were grown and a bit about the farmers. Also it is so easy to change boxes or add on extra veg etc. great to have paper bags and limited packaging too and also the recipes although haven’t tried any out yet but will do in time. Can’t fault it at the moment as all has worked well with the delivery. Maybe helpful to know whether it’s coming in morning or afternoon but I can live with that.

From our first order, when we received a phone call to ensure delivery details were accurate, to the lengths the caller went to ensuring the young baby in the house would not be woken during the very early morning drop-off the service has been excellent. The fruit, vegetables, dairy, deli products and bakes have all been first class. The quality of products has been superb. As a long time user of other organic delivery businesses I consider Riverford to be by far the best.
