Dec 04,2024I was a bit wary of buying organic food, thinking that although the flavour would exceed expectations, it might not "last" as well. How wrong was I. The taste and quality are utterly exceptional and YES it actually lasts longer that supermarket veg! And as for the meat, wow - the flavour is amazing too. I bought venison sausages and WOW they are so much more flavoursome than butcher bought ones - so good I only need eat one at a time, they are filling and delicious. I bought fruit with my veg last week and crumbs those clementines are like nothing I have ever had before - knocks the socks off the supermarket bought for flavour and juiciness, and lasting well too! So I eating better, both in terms of quality, and taste, but also in terms of the method of production. I won't be going back to the supermarket any time soon!

On the plus side, sleek deliveries so far. I would love to see an increasing variety of products we can buy, particularly more vegan options and grains and pulses

Dec 03,2024I love receiving my veg and fruit box every two weeks. There is always something that I most likely would not buy normally and therefore, I try different recipes. I have a medium box and this suits me. I know that if I have any issues it will be sorted. I like my vegetables and the Cook Book that Riverford has produced is amazing! Thank you!

Dec 03,2024Great fruit and veg and good delivery and fresh food well packaged. Only thing with some of the boxes there are some things I don't like and it would be a good option, If we could change some of it. So sometimes I buy single options instead, but very happy with everything so far.

We get a veg box every two weeks and, although some veg have proved challenging to pensioners, we have enjoyed the convenience and full flavour of every vegetable. The delivery system is great, our delivery person is amazingly helpful and we appreciate the recyclable nature of the boxes themselves. We also like knowing we are helping UK farmers to grow their businesses.

Dec 01,2024I received my first box yesterday & first of all the packaging is adorable, everything recyclable / paper bags, loose items still with the soil on some :) very grateful to have access to real, high quality food. (and magazine, recipes included etc. so much thought put into this) For what you’re getting it’s really reasonably priced. Cooked the mushrooms, leeks, and white potatoes today and the flavours are incredible. Very happy with the service & to be supporting local farms. Thank you

Dec 04,2024The welcome call, checking the delivery day and box drop arrangements, was a nice human touch. Delivery chap is also 10/10. The fruit and veg is like what you get from you own garden. Full of flavour, excellent eating quality, picked at the best time for the produce, not the shop's stock levels, and so fresh it keeps super well. But do expect mud on your potatoes (as there should be, stops them going green) and more variation in size and shape than you see with supermarket stuff. I don't have enough growing space at home and have no allotment, so Riverford is perfect for me. They also have a cracking selection of the best varieties to choose from, including the legendary Crown Prince Squash. It's also possible to build your own box, so don't be put off of the "veg box" model if you're a celery hater. Just order what you want, or default to a regular box (there's lots of box options for veg, fruit, both, small medium or large, UK grown only, packaging free, etc) and switch it out if you see next week's box is not to your taste. It's easy to do it on the app or the website. You can also pause deliveries and pre order extras for xmas Oh and they also sell a bunch of awesome other stuff too: sourdough, meat and dairy, eggs, cupboard stuff like chutney and crackers etc.
