May 14,2024There were so many aspects of our 15 days in Africa that it is hard to think of what to share that truly stands out. It was all wonderful! Of course, there is the incredible viewing of wildlife which is what it all started out to be about. But, there is also the wonderful people one meets along the journey that also make it special. Our guides and trackers were wonderful and the camp staff the best. I left thinking this was a once-in-a-lifetime trip and now, I'm planning how I'll go back! I would definitely work with Safari Consultants again and recommend them to friends. Each step of our arrangements were expertly handled. I could immerse myself in the experience and let the details just fall into place without a worry!

May 14,2024We were met and escorted at every airport and helped with all luggage. Each camp was excellent with very comfortable to luxurious accomodations. The food in general was good to excellent (I had one dry piece of chicken one night) with very nice wines to accompany them. The game viewing was far better than I had anticipated, with very personable guides. Camp staffs were wonderful, friendly and tried hard to give us anything we needed or wanted. All of this is the result of great coordination and arrangments but Safari Consultants.

May 07,2024We would highly recommend safari consultants for planning and booking your African holiday. We found Safari Consultants through a referral from an African conservation charity, so we knew we were in the hands of an operator who cared about the impact on the environment and local community. From first point of contact, through to the last minute questions, through to helping to resolve any issues whilst away, Mary and the whole team have been incredibly supportive in making sure we got the holiday of a lifetime - nothing was too much effort! The camp we stayed in was exceptional, the wildlife incredible, and the guides really knew their stuff. You could tell that the in-person visits made by Mary and the team made a real difference, as they were able to answer questions knowledgeably and provide advice based on real experience. We cannot thank you enough for going over and above to support, both with queries when we were in the UK and in Africa, and for ultimately helping us to have the holiday of a lifetime, thank you!

The team exceeded my expectations in every way. All connections were incredibly smooth, guides exceptionally knoweldgeable. The Camps at Shinde and Dinaka were incredible in terms of location, facilities and the fabulous staff. The tour operator in Vic falls made some fantatstic suggestions for different things to do in the area. All in all - just brilliant - thank you

Mar 25,2024...to adequately express just how truly 5* this company is. We have been using SC since 2015 and are just back from our most recent trip with them in South Africa and Zimbabwe. The 'databank' the wonderful Mary Grimwood has of what we like - and even more importantly, don't like - on safari is worth its weight in gold. It gives a short hand to getting quickly to how an itinerary could look and helpful distills a bewildering array of camps and options down to the ones that will particularly appeal to you as a traveller. I like to do my own deep dive research but no matter how deep I go, I can never get close to the intimate and detailed descriptions of the location, style, mood, food and wildlife of each game park and each camp that Mary can provide through her many personal visits over many years to all parts of African safari areas. On the rare occasion that she hasn't visited one of the camps in discussion, at least one - normally more - of her colleagues will have visited and then I speak to them for the same descriptive and vivid insider knowledge. I am lucky enough to travel a lot and in all other circumstances I book my own travel but never for a safari. The range of choices is vast, even within the same country and the logistics potentially problematic without the benefit of great, long standing relationships with local companies and ground handlers. One would be mad not to use a specialist to help plan and to book the trip. However, Safari Consultants go way beyond the description of 'specialist'. They are vested and passionate about every second of your trip being life changing and a memory for life. If they were planning their own trip of a lifetime, they could not work harder, show more interest or go the extra mile than they do for their clients. As I said at the top, there aren't enough superlatives...

She then organised our trip to Victoria Falls and finally suggested a wonderful final week at Waterberry Lodge in Zambia when we asked for advice on some down time. Everything went like clockwork. We were met at each stage of our journey. I couldn’t recommend Safari Consultants highly enough.

This came as no surprise as we have used Safari Consultants many times and they have been faultless each time. However on both our recent trips local events have caused some disruption, but with one email to Michele or Rob the issues have been sorted out immediately and efficiently to our complete satisfaction. Not only do Safari Consultants arrange superb itineraries, but they have detailed local knowledge and their comprehensive network of contacts means that any problems (not of SC's doing) can be resolved with minimal hassle for their clients. We can't recommend them highly enough.

Feb 26,2024My wife and I 10 day safari in Tanzania was a dream come true.The quality of transportation, services, safari drives and food was consistently outstanding. We felt privileged to have such a treatment. We have seen all the big animals and more, and more important we have seen the big migration in the Serengeti Park. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and welcome suggestions to accommodate our needs. Thanks Kelly Mattin for organizing.

May 22,2024Customer service - I always got my questions answered quickly and completely no matter how trivial. Time was taken to prepare an itinerary for our group that met all of our needs. Every part of our Safari was executed perfectly and in detail. Our accommodations were perfect and our activities varied and most interesting, some spectacular. I also believe that the cost of the trip was worth every penny. I would gladly recommend this company to anyone wanting a unique Safari experience.
