Mar 20,2025What a joke, I hire one of their largest storage units in Cardiff, Safestore have increased the price which is fine per year, not happy but I can swallow that, what I cannot swallow is their new terms that say they keep all funds when we give notice to leave. I have to give 2 weeks, so I am happy to pay for 2 weeks, but they want 4 weeks cost covered when I won't be in the Unit. I have hire this unit for about a year now meaning 12k of storage in the last 10 months. If I need a new storage unit, due to these new terms, it hands down would head to Big Yellow as they provide a refund any unused time minus the notice period which is the way it should be.

Mar 19,2025Not happy with their process. If someone is reviewing their contract to move to another contract still renting the same unit. I don't see why I have to vacate the and enter a new contract. It doesn't make sense. Too much back and forth in the process. Causing me too much stress. Not happy with it.

Mar 18,2025Jason was friendly, patient and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions, immediately sent me all the paperwork and my son is delighted. When we sailed around the world we used the company for ten years. So helpful, would not hesitate to give a huge recommendation, thank you xxxxc

Mar 17,2025I needed to switch storage units and researched a number of options but the team and Claire in particular in Warrington were excellent. Claire went out of her way to ensure that I got the best price and a unit size that was right for me. Unlike the place I am leaving that don't seem bothered they are losing a customer - I felt the customer service and overall process was excellent. I would highly recommend Safestore to anyone looking for storage in Warrington

Mar 15,2025Just handed back my keys to my storage this Morning ,which I have had for several months. I can say from day one, it has been an excellent all round experience. The staff at the Sunderland storage facility are great and a credit to Safestore, nothing was too much trouble a really friendly bunch of people. The 24 hour access was a great thing to have and it gives you peace of mind to know your possessions are are safe and secure. Overall a great all round customer experience that I would highly recommend.

Mar 12,2025Excellent company - I called earlier this morning to enquire about storage space at Crayford and Jason was super helpful. He took time to explain the storage facilities, booking process, and also ran through the amount of storage we’d need for our (in-between) house move. There was also no pushy sales pressure at all, and our storage space is reserved until we want to compete the paperwork and pay once we have a confirmed date. A seamless process and it made my life so much easier when we’re already experiencing the stress of a move! Definitely recommend :)

Mar 12,2025I've spoken with Safe store twice now. Both times, I've been greeted and helped in a very positive manner, this has been a relief to be treated with such kindness and empathy during a stressful time. I can'r remember the name of the man who helped me the first time as I was on the road, I think it was Chris Young. He was so nice to speak to that I remembered to phone back. I then spoke to Jason White who ammended my original booking due to changes my end. He was also super helpful and promoted a 'can-do' attitude which has put me totally at ease that the provision at safestore will be perfect for my need. He provided me with information I didn't even think to ask for but was so good to know (such as access, choice of locks and trolleys for use) Because of this friendly and positive impact both times, I have not even bothered to search a secondary quote.

Mar 12,2025I went online for a quote to get a general idea of storage costs. I now receive several calls and text messages every day - even Sundays - offering deals and checking my requirements. It's harrassment and there doesn't seem to be an unsubscribe option. Emails are easier to block but the phone calls come from different numbers, even 'private numbers' so no way to stop. If I ever actually need storage I would not use this company due to their aggressive marketing tactics. Thank you for the quick response. I have now emailed my phone details with a request to stop marketing contact. However, it should not require me posting on here to find a way to opt out of contact, there should be an option on your website to unsubscribe or opt out of contact.

Mar 10,2025Just started buying up abandoned storage units and quickl;y found myself needing a unit of my own. Considered several places but ended up with Safestore in Carshalton. Started 2/3 weeks ago, got to say I am very happy with the decision I made. Not only is it the nearest facility to my house but Amit, Sean and Ralston have all given good advice and helped me tremendously. I really cannot praise them enough.

Mar 08,2025Great experience with Safestore, used a recommended mover to move stuff in, stored safely for 6 months while we bought a property and used the same guy for removals. Charged for the unit as expected every month lots of communication no surprises. Closing simple to do. No issues.

Mar 21,2025I hate to write a negative review and I have shared my feedback on the phone with the customer service team. But, the experience i have had has been really POOR! I have been a customer at Safestore for 4 years, I enquired about downsizing, as costs seemed to keep rising. In the end, a competitor was able to offer me a lower price for a bigger unit than what Safestore could offer. Safestore could not have been less interested in the fact i was leaving, I was provided no comms on the move out process, I have had to ring to chase when I will get my deposit refunded. They offer new customers 8 weeks 50%, but won't offer anything to long standing customers to encourage them to stay. My experience was at the Altrincham branch where there is Kangaroo storage and soon to be Shurguard on your doorstep. Really poor business and I won't be recommending you.
