Feb 04,2023After moving home we received the letter from SDLT in the post, at first we were both very sceptical. However after looking things up I noticed that it was legitimate and we were indeed overcharged stamp duty, we filled in the paperwork and received our refund within 4 weeks. Absolutely amazing service and so happy to get money back that we knew nothing about and were not expecting! Thank you Jon.

When we first received a letter (and an engaging video introduction) from Jon Fitch, I was somewhat sceptical, but after being contacted by other firms as well, I decided to follow it up. Jon provided a very efficient and effective service, sending a detailed submission to HMRC, and the refund was made within 3 weeks.

Dec 05,2022We were sceptical at first about pursuing this claim but after we were inundated with letter saying we had a claim we went to Jon at SDLT Experts and it was a great choice. From the first call to receiving the refund we were kept updated. If you believe you have a claim you really should go for it and I would recommend SDLT Experts 100%.

Nov 16,2022I was initially a little skeptical about the suggestion made by SDLT Experts that I had overpaid stamp duty on my property. I had an initial discussion with Jon and thought I should do something about this. I then became inundated with letters from other agencies making the same claims (and they sent repeat letters weekly). I had received no chasing up or hassling from Jon over the summer whilst I was busy elsewhere so completed the forms he had sent me as I really appreciated this quiet and non-invasive approach. After sending some photos off as requested I was told the application had been made. I received payment a few weeks later. I am still receiving a constant trail of post regarding this matter even though it’s resolved. I praise Jon’s quick identification of the overpayment, his professional approach and the calm way he worked through the requirements with me. What I thought would be a hassle, certainly wasn’t, so I would highly recommend this company.

Nov 08,2022This really couldn't be much simpler: Received a very slick piece of marketing from Jon/SDLT (and three other companies - not so slick) explaining that we may be owed money back from HMRC ref Stamp duty overpayment. Although I can be a little suspicious of 'slick', after a telephone conversation with Jon, in which he clearly explained the process and his fees (lower than most) we went ahead. Jon emailed a list of requirements and in return we provided a number of photographs and some paperwork to back up the claim. A few weeks later and I have just received an email confirming a successful claim and a substantial return of cash from HMRC. I can't think of any reason not to use SDLT.

Feb 10,2023Despite being uncertain about this process I decided to give it a try. Jon Finch was most helpful and informative. The process was made to look simple and all claims by his company proved to be exactly correct. A full refund was in my account in less than 3 weeks and future pitfalls explained and how to avoid them. Jon’s fees were reasonable for a minimum of work on my part. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in the same situation as myself.
