Had a flight to Paris, France back in November 2020 and clearly could not go. Got my airline credit of $942.38 and tried to rebook my flights, there was an additional fare difference of $290, and they are trying to charge me an additional $300+ on top of that in "service fees" when there was no notice on this, and no clear break out of what they are actually charging you. They just keep throwing out different numbers, I don't know what service they are even providing other than trying to steal your money. I've called their customer service number every day to try to speak to their manager, Severin Brown on this and I have been put on hold for hours, hung up on, told to call back later and simply yelled at about "how this is the best deal, and I should take it". Still have not been able to speak to the manager, and Max is no help at all - I've been told that they are "living off these service fees" and this really is the shadiest business I have ever encountered, how this "business" is able to do this to customers is despicable. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy! Back in Jan of 2020 I booked flights using Skybooker to Ireland. Obviously the flight was cancelled. I actually called the airlines directly to cancel because in previous conversations something felt “off” about Skybooker. The airlines said I could rebook within a year and gave me the codes to use for the rebooking. When I went to rebook the airlines told me the codes were invalid and that Skybooker had requested the refund. I called Skybooker to inquire and started a conversation in Jan 2021 that is still ongoing. To rebook flights with Skybooker they were going to charge me $150 in “fees” on a flight I found that was LESS than the original flight I previously booked. When I asked why I needed to pay these “fees” they just told me they were fees. I mentioned that I would’ve already paid these “fees” when I originally booked. Nope. They needed more money. And this is where I figured out how they make their money, by gouging customers in “fees”. So I said forget it because these guys are shady af. I went for the refund. I paid a total of $2,515.02. My refund would be $1,694.96. Within a few days I got a PARTIAL refund of only $1550.95. I didn’t even get the amount they agreed to refund me! And since Jan 2021 they STILL OWE me $144.01. I’ve called many times and emailed. Don't bother emailing, they won’t reply. And so I’ve been calling them. And all 7 of the phone calls they’ve told me the remainder of my refund is “processing”. Which is a flat out lie! And when I call them out on their lie they tell me it WILL get processed by the end of the day or the end of the week. All lies! Then I’m told they need to make sure they got the refund from the airlines(which they did bc the airlines told me the date they were refunded). Again more lies! Don’t trust this company with your money! And don’t give this company ANY of your money! Learn from my mistake! I certainly will tell EVERYONE I know to avoid Skybooker AT ALL COSTS! Maybe this review will expedite my refund. Because calling Max, Frank, Isla and anyone else there hasn’t worked.
I paid $3163.37 for tickets to Zurich before the pandemic. I wanted a refund but was only offered $2379.37. After reading reviews and talking to them, I felt uneasy about this company & took the loss. They still shorted me $78 and have been incredibly rude these 3 months I have tried to work with them to get my full (and still low) refund. I am now just opening a case with my credit card company & will eventually get it back. This company is BAD news. Book through the airline & stay away!! ***In response to the reply below: I agreed to you taking a fee out but you shorted me $78 and refuse to give me the agreed upon refund. Thieves!!
I wouldn't even give them 1 star but I couldn't leave message why I would definitely not recommend anyone ever use Skybooker! I booked a flight back home with them on May 1st. I checked on the booking status today as I hadn't gotten anymore emails like I had before from the airline. When I did it said that my reservation had been canceled. Checked my credit card to see if it had been refunded and nothing there! Now I'm on hold with the airline to find out if there is anything they can do. Probably not and now I have to come up with the money (more expensive now!) to get a new flight! I've tried to call and keep getting hung up on. Also emailed Skybooker but haven't gotten anything yet. I would have gone to the airport on Saturday to find out my flight was canceled and be stuck...not a way to run a company!!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! AVOID!!!! I don’t have time to type how horrible my experience has been so just know this: Bought a ticket to Morocco. It was cancelled due to pandemic A year later and I am trying to use my “credit” to book another flight. The flight I found is $10 more than my credit & they asked me to pay an extra $125 for “fees”. This is the trip of my dreams so I said yes, sure. It’s been a month and they still have not reissued my ticket. I called and they were extremely inconsiderate and said sorry the price went up now you need to pay $650 more on top of the voucher. I was furious because obviously prices have went up, why didn’t they book it a month ago when I asked & followed up every week while they said “it’s still processing”. I called Delta and asked if they could help but it was out of their hands (however their CSR was very kind). She explained to me that they have my money and can reissue at any time they are just refusing to for whatever reason.. likely to make more money. I called and told SkyBooker (in a nice way) and asked about the status again & was told to call back later hung up on. I highly doubt I will get my ticket reissued at this point and am now out $850 on top of having to buy another ticket to go on the trip. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THIS COMPANY. I literally begged them as this is the trip of my absolute dreams. I have waited 24 years to go on this trip & they still won’t help.
We bought 3 tickets to Europe for $2,796 for 2 adults and 1 infant back in March, 2020. Due to the pandemic, they cancelled the ticket and told us that we could either get approximately 80% of the money back or use that money as a voucher to purchase another 3 tickets in the future. We chose the voucher. Now that the travel restriction is no longer active, we tried to use the voucher to purchase the 3 tickets (2 adults and 1 toddler as the kid is now older than 2 years old), but they said that the voucher can't be used to buy the ticket for the toddler, and we have to pay for the extra ticket (an additional $900) and lose the money from the voucher. Their solution is to pay a total of $3,600 for 3 tickets that if you purchase via the airlines are $2,000. After they gave us that solution, we requested to get our money back, as they lied on how the voucher works back in 2020, but they are ignoring our request and ignoring our calls to customer service. I've been waiting for over 2 weeks for their supervisors to call us back and give us our money back. This company has horrible customer service, they lied about their voucher policies and their prices are not even good.
Skybooker is fast and responsive, but that's about it. Bought a ticket for May 13th to go from Tampa to Vegas. They booked my ticket through Southwest. Thinking I got the Southwest price, I booked and paid $347.48. Found out the next day on the Southwest app directly through the airline, the price was actually $312.48. The difference of $35 just for using another site. I reached out to support. My message very simple and clear, "Hi Noel, I just saw this flight #898 on southwest airlines app that shows the price for $312.48 which includes taxes and fees. Can you please match this price and refund me the difference? Here's a screenshot I just took. Thanks," The response I got was, "Dear Johnnie, Thank you for your email, Please be advised that the reservation is confirmed as per the original quoted price which includes fare tax and booking charges with the airlines, The exclusive fares will be updated by the airlines regularly which cannot be matched..." Pretty disappointed. Won't be using these guys ever again. I'll make sure of that. Pretty trashy that they know they took me for my extra hard earned money and didn't have to do anything different than buying from the airline. Will definitely pass the word on to NOT use skybooker. Edit 5-6-2021 Response to Skybooker: Even after your response, I still feel like you're a sleazy company and I still won't ever use you again. You're only tainting your own reputation. Knowing that you won't match the actual airline pricing is just awful business. Again, I've already informed many to to stick with priceline, orbitz, kayak, or the airlines themselves and simply avoid you. You need to do better.
An honest review from a bad experience. The only reason to use this company, is if you are willing to gamble that your flight will go perfectly, with no problems. Then it’s worth the price if they are cheapest. If ANYTHING goes wrong (airline cancels, changes, modifies, natural disasters, etc.) they will only offer a partial refund (20%-40% less than you paid) even though they get a full refund from the airline. Or a full credit with their company (that charges fees, $50-$120/each fee, to rebook/modify/cancel so you are out a few hundred dollars either way. Lastly... they first said that a refund will be given within 14 days but after I agreed to cut my losses ($220 in my case) they said it will be within 45 days. 1) “In regards to your reservation, you can either get the refund of $ 573.20 within 14 business days, or else you can take the future credit for the paid amount without expiration. with full flexibility.” 2) “ As per your email, we have processed the refund and the amount will be credited back to your card within 15-45 working days.” Now just look at all the other reviews that still haven’t received their refund.... Just a slimy company that probably isn’t doing anything illegal, but is build around things falling through the cracks and nickel and diming you until you’re left with a fraction of what you originally purchased. UPDATE: 5/6/2021 I received only $455 and after several inquiries to get an explanation or the rest of my refund, I have heard nothing back. Everything I have said is 100% accurate and the fact that they haven’t commented on here backs this up. Out of principle I’ll never use them again. Update after Skybooker Review 5/6/2021: I still have no receipt of charges, explanation of why my agreed refund amount was shorted, or where fees are “clearly outlined” as no values are given. Further action is being taken.
Do not ever use this company! Their business practice is at least suspicious if not completely illegal. From day one of the Covid19 pandemic I was asking by phone and by emails for the reimbursement of my ticket cancelled by Lufthansa Airlines and I never got even 5 cents! They were first talking about waiting for the airlines to get the money, then switched their song to lowering the reimbursement from $1200 (the full price of the ticket) to $880 in October 2020 and now to $780 after holding the money for over a year! When asked what is the legal basis of this practice they refuse to answer. I am sending an official complaint to the Attorney General of Georgia. P.S. Skybooker's answer to my review that says: >>On April 25, 2020 (almost a year back), we communicated with you for a future credit and you have accepted. << is a lie! I have never accepted the future credit but immediately requested, first by phone then by email, a monetary reimbursement that I have never received. The company was deceptive all the time! April 10, 2021: After one year of asking for the refund, I received 65% of the ticket price! Yes, they stole $420 from me! Is this business practice legit in the US?! (Not to mention ethics....)
We had a flight to Europe last year that was cancelled due to COVID. They offered a credit initially but we never could find a flight through them that worked for us to use. I then asked for a refund and they agreed to provide it to me with 25% being kept for fees. Note that they never could provide an explanation on how those fees were calculated. I agreed and then they issued a refund that was short of what they had promised me. I have spent the past three months trying to get them to provide the missing amount but they won't respond to my emails and when I call they tell me it will be processed within the next 3-10 days, which never occurs. I don't believe they have any intent to refund me the remaining amount and will not honor the amount they agreed to refund me which was already substantially less than what I paid. Please learn from my experience and avoid using them.
Frank is the man! I’ve been helped out by SkyBooker and it means a lot after being trapped for 2 days in Memphis trying to head to Miami. Frank found me the flight when no others could find departing for the next couple days and swapped to it at no extra cost. You can trust SkyBooker. I trust them based on actual experience.
They don't give refund on cancellation and rebooking is costing more money than what is available from other agents.
Horrible customer service. This pandemic is not the travellers fault.I booked 2 flights to New Zealand now they say there no refunds. Just a credit for New Zealand again and we all know New Zealand has done an amazing job with Covid. You don't even have the option to use credit anywhere else.We both lost our jobs and this refund would definitely help us .Never again .
*Update* Well like some other i got some issue regarding my fly cancel due to covid 19. The first time i call the customer service said that they have problem with reimbursment and i cannot got one. But they take the décision and the iniatives after my call to work with the airline (air canada) to get my money back and the day after i got a call to say that i will get my money back minus a little fee (50$...a that point its very little considering the fact that they still have people to pay and still have and will work to help you) . So yeah...force to admit ticket are cheap and in the end they did what they have to do to make me satisfy as a customer and even make the extra miles by taking initiative even when times are hard for themself.
To me, customer service is everything when working with a business. Like many, my trip to Europe, going through Canada, using AirCanada was cancelled. When my flight was canceled, I contacted SkyBooker via phone and was given my options - full future credit on Air Canada or a refund, minus the fees I agreed to when booking. I choose the future credit and asked for an email confirming our conversation. After receiving that, I have chosen that method to correspond regarding my status. I am writing this today because yesterday I recontacted Skybooker via the same email chain to make sure my status has not changed and to confirm the value of my credit and it's expiration date. Answers were clear and concise so I now have a plan to use my credit once travel opens a bit more. I have time to travel so hope that Air Canada will extend the date of my credit expiration, if it comes to that. In the meantime, I wait and feel assured that eventually I'll get to use that credit (soon, I hope). I appreciated the helpful customer service provided to me and look forward to booking my trip on Air Canada. I debated about a 4 star review or a 5 as I'd like a 4 1/2 since my travel hasn't actually been scheduled yet. I decided to round up to a 5 because I feel confident that they will continue to respond to my emails and get my trip scheduled. Thank you in these strange times!
Horrible, horrible service!! Bought my ticket in January for June. In the meantime the pandemic hit so the airline canceled my trip. At the time, I tried to get a refund but Skybooker said that AirCanada doesn’t offer refunds so my only option was credit. I rebooked again for August. It was again canceled. In September I tried rebooking again but they said that they have no flights available for the date I needed. At that point I requested a refund - I don’t see how their inability to offer a ticket when I need it gives them further reason to keep my money. Skybooker kept blaming AirCanada, they said that the airline doesn't offer refunds so their hands are tied. I went on to contact AirCanada and filed for a refund on their website.. after quite a wait they answered and said that they will offer a refund minus a $300 fee. I accepted, so they went on and sent the refund to Skybooker and then eventually to go back to my card. So, my first ticket was $1,282 in January, the second ticket, in August, costed me another $112 difference. I’m not a math genuis, but $1,394 minus $300 is exactly $1,094. Skybooker gave me a refund of $650!! It is outrageous! I called them last night, and one John Smith who I spoke to kept mumbling and putting me on hold to find additional information.. in the end he said that the difference of $444 represents their booking fee. I asked for a breakdown of that fee and he told me he doesn’t have access to it! How in the world does skybooker not have access to their own “policy”?? How did they know how much to keep if they dont know what it’s for?? They are lying through their teeth!! My wife bought her ticket on their website but it was with United and when they refunded her ticket, they only kept $150. I am absolutely enraged and cannot believe that a company like that is allowed to keep on doing business! I’ve spend hours and hours on the phone with them and had to put up with people who don’t give a crap about their customers and treat them like they’re doing them a favor! I will be filing complaints with the customer protection office! This is UNNACEPTABLE!!
We spent $1658 USD for Sept 2020 flights from DFW to FCO. AA canceled their flights to Rome and Skybooker inly refunded $1350, keeping $300 for flights that were cancelled. I would like to join a class action lawsuit against this company.
Easy to navigate. Helpful in setting up my business travel.
The site doesn’t even work, the staff doesn’t even answer there email unless they are making a sale! Where is the information on ticket vouchers? How does anybody know the exact amount they are being refunded??? So many unanswered questions.

May 14,2021I was having trouble understanding how to book more than one ticket under different names. John Smith was so helpful and made my day. He fixed everything for me and was very patient with me. I’m so thankful there was a human being to speak to for help. They also had the lowest price best airline options available over all the competitors. I’ll definitely utilize this app and company again and again. Feeling thankful. 🙌🏼
