May I ask how the people below actually got to speak to a human being? The only contact number I could get was in Spain. I also received the scam email from Petchip that asked for renewal payment. I’m trying to sort things out with Smarttrace but it appears to only be possible via email. Having received the scam email, I’m a bit wary of giving a lot of information over email. Diane responded very promptly but now wants phone numbers and email addresses on an account we’ve had for 4 years.

Made contact via email because I had received a request from a company claiming that the microchip had to be renewed. SmartTrace replied within the hour explaining that it was a scam and that their chips had no expiration date. I’m very relieved and so pleased that SmartTrace answered me so quickly with a full explanation. Thanks again and well done!

When transferring a microchip status to me from my dog's 'mum' I was forced by SmartTrace to accept receiving emails. When I deselected the checkbox control, I was unable to process the transaction. This is unfair, not what I want and may be against GDPR.

I cannot explain my experience with this company apart from the fact that Joanne went above and beyond to help us. Our first contact with Joanne showed his helpful she was prepared to be. This as followed with a guideline of what I needed to do to rectify my situation. This was explained easily, and was followed by 'followed up' emails to keep me informed of the progress.
