This feedback relates to the online chat forum. The consultant answered all my questions quickly. I understood better how it works from the chat. I only had one unanswered question. Sometimes there were spelling mistakes that made it confusing to understand, so I had to ask multiple times for the same thing. They sai "as I said", I dont like that with customer service; if we understood, we wouldn't have to ask repeatedly. Then I realised a few words were inaccurate / spelt incorrect in their reply, so that's where the misunderstanding lay. :-0
AVOID at all costs! I had reservations about SmilePath but was sucked in by the cheap price and the great 'reviews' - stupid me, when it appears to be good to be true, it generally is... I paid upfront and it was a disaster from day 1 - they use an overseas call centre and online bots to manage all communications. Staff have no understanding of the details of the product or process and are pure sales staff. It took several weeks to get my impression kit sent out and despite requesting a small set, it was not included. Multiple emails and another 10 days passed before a replacement kit was sent. Staff are all sales staff and pushed hard (including providing financial incentives) for me to provide a positive review - despite the fact, nothing had happened yet. It made me realise most of the positive reviews I'd read are actually from people who have just received their impression kit and have not gone through the process yet - furthermore they have been paid for their review. Take a read through the positive reviews and take note of how many say 'looking forward to my treatment'... We arranged for a video consultation to go through the process but were only offered timeslots between 6-7am or 8-10pm. Every query took 3-4 days minimum for a response or multiple calls to get any action. We completed the impressions, following the advice on the video-call and sent the impressions next day... Crickets... After a week, i sent a message requesting confirmation the impressions had been received - no response. Multiple more emails over the next week plus several phone messages before someone answered the phone. Lots of apologies and 'we understand, please be patient' but the call staff had no idea. Several days later, I got an email advising the impressions had been found and were at the Sydney office waiting for more impressions to arrive so they could be sent overseas together and save on freight?? I was also advised my emails had been going to a junk email folder, hence the lack of response. Another three weeks later (and more than 2 months since purchase), and after multiple unreturned emails and calls I was advised the impressions were not suitable. They suggested I find a local dentist to do 3D scans and send them through. Of course, they should have local contacts or alternative options but keen to try and get a resolution, I rang a number of local dentists but no one would assist as they are not going to help their competitors! Smilepath didn't have any options to proceed and weren't interested in refunding my $ so they stopping responding to communication (again). Despite multiple requests for a refund, they simply send you around in circles - AVOID!

I'd strongly recommend choosing another, albeit more expensive, option. I paid upfront for my SmilePath aligners in November 2021. I only received a large impression kit. The SmilePath website says they'll send both medium and large impression trays. When I asked for the medium trays I was charged an additional $45. I struggled to make impressions because of my gag reflex and asked for a refund. When I didn't hear back I followed up in March 2022 and said the 'resolution department' would get in touch. I finally did hear back from them and they tried to give me a partial refund and to keep going with the aligners. At this point it was clear that teledentistry wasn't the right choice for me so I declined and asked for a full refund. They agreed to give me a partial refund with an $100 AUD 'administration fee'. It took quite a lot of back and forth, so I decided it was worth it to just have it over with. Also after I got the refund they kept calling me over and over to change my review of the company which bordered on harassment. My recommendation is to go for a provider that lets you pay a fee to check if aligners and teledentistry is right for you. Then if it's not you don't have to go through the hassle of trying to get a refund. While SimlePath might be cheaper than others, like they say, you pay for what you get.
Jordan was very patient with me with all the queries I had and has been able to clearly explain to me, which was then the decisive moment to choose SmilePath. The process has been good so far. I feel like it has all happened within a reasonable time frame. The results have been really great. Very content with how quick the process happens. The communication has been good. No real short fallings however I haven't needed any special assistance. The process is almost complete & I'd happily recommend it to anyone 😊

May 26,2022I've just ordered my night aligners and can say that the customer service has been excellent so far! My package arrived promptly with plenty of clear instructions in both written and video format to get started. My SmilePath consultant has also kept me informed and has been very helpful every step of the way. We'll see how it all goes soon :)
